Cheating in a video game is so stupid. It’s sad that people think it’s ok to cheat. It’s a virtual game that means nothing. Ruining the experience for others just for your own enjoyment is honestly terrible.

I'm 😅 on Xbox In Crimson an can confirm 👍 👌 🤣 there's no lobbies an bec I've been hardstuck Crim for every season the only guys 👦 👨👦 👨👦👦 I get on Xbox only are 1 or 2 Top 250 Stacks left I can beat 💓 them 20-30-40-50% of the time ⏲️ but not frequently enough to Rank up or I go PC 🖥 an it's nothing but cheaters Wallers or blatant aim botters

You hit the nail on the head. Gone are the days when you can accept someone being just better. There will always be doubt of whether or not cheats are at play because of how big the problem has become. It's ruined the fun for me. I don't play ranked anymore and that used to be all I'd play.

cheating sucks but you can see it clear as day when people are cheating don't act like everyone's out to just cheat on you. 95% of the time they are just better than you the other 5% you can clearly tell they are cheating. But if you are talking about strike packs/cronus then yeah 100% but if we just talking walls/aimbot any good player can tell.

@@anarchy6417 I know that the vast majority of the time the other player is not cheating and I'm just getting beat, but it sucks that there's still enough cheaters to put that doubt in my head. Gives me no incentive to get back to push for crimson. Even finding a cheater once in every 10 games is too often for me. I'd rather just play Warzone or something else.

At the beginning of every season, I always tell myself "Im ACTUALLY going to grind for Iri". Brother within a week of the new season starting, im either playing cheaters or the servers and complete a*s and I quit the grind 💀
No I hit crim season 1 and since then I’ve only played people that hack or use something. Haven’t been able to get back up there since
Same brother, same. Blatant T250s rage hacking B-lining squads on rebirth ranked and lobbies lagging out while d3 on week one of season 4 been a complete roller coaster trying to get Iri. Its so common i even matched up with solo queuing hackers.
Facts ; remember back in the day hopping on MW2 the hackers would rank me up and unlock everything for me but now all the hackers do is just wall hacks and aim it me

Help me understand this: we’re down 200-89…. Other team is shooting bodies and trolling…. One thing led to another and now the score is 215-200…. All of a sudden out of NOWHERE our whole team starts lagging uncontrollably after we had full control of a p 3 on 6 star…. We lose 250-205. Lag switching is so lame

It’s not complaining to bring more awareness to an actual issue. This problem is destroying not just COD but online shooters in general. It’s something that needs to be talked about more so it can be fixed. It’s more than just people complaining cuz they lost a game. These cheaters are destroying entire gaming franchises when nothing gets done. No one wants to play with cheaters.

Stopped playing ranked the second I started running into cheaters. I just thought to myself, why try so hard if it all means nothing and I’ll just be playing against people trying to ruin my experience and not playing fairly? 🤷♂️
I love the game. I keep playing ranked. But I’m in game with a hacker every other game. It’s making it hard. Now hacks are on console too. Online competitive scene is lost.
I remember back in the early Black Ops days where hackers made fun modded lobbies with game modes like Michael Myers, tag, etc.
Dude yes! Unlimited ballistic knives, everyone got max prestige, all camps unlocked and then you moved on. Now it’s controlled soft aim, phantom overlay, cheating discords, it’s complex for a video game they’ll never make money on.

100% fixable. They are a huge company, take a small team, who are dedicated to watching clips and people who have been reported. But of course they won't do that because it would cost $$$

its very much possible to get games on xbox with crossplay off but 90% of the iridescent/top250s are ximming/zenning 4 stacks with autoping and anti recoil

Worst part is that the anti cheat is so easily bypassed by the cheating softwares, no matter what new "ricochet negations" they add like splat for example, the high end softwares allows the user to fully be under the radar. The issue with that is that they end up adding a spam report behaviour because it in a way allows the users to manually put somebody in a shadowban in order to be reviewed further, but with HWID spoofers etc. cheaters literally get around that system and it affects mostly legit players. We need a new game engine with fresh code from the ground up, and then integrate a much more advanced anti-cheat, this should buy them some time to stay ahead of exploits.

Great video. I'm a casual gamer who only plays COD for maybe 2 hours a week. I tried jumping in to a few matches after work and half of them were using lag switches, spinning ridiculously fast, and literally aim botting. I hadn't played a video game since 2011 (OG MW3), so this has been a culture shock already. It has made the 1 game that I enjoy unplayable.

People went from modding and having fun with it to completely hacking and making everyones experience miserable while ensuring they keep all the “fun” for themselves. And these people even make it to F*CKING tournaments. It’s absurd
What’s worse to think about is how many closet cheaters there are, and how many normal players get accused for how easy the cheats are to obtain.

Absolutely True, I am a PC player, and struggling a lot to reach plat 2 and above because of hackers, every single day I report 2 or 3 people and the next day I get notifications that some of them got banned.

I normally try to lean more on the side of im just getting shit on or its sever issues, but in diamond recently i have definitely been running into some sus players. When I see people at this level deleting me from range with the rival and there is ZERO sway, thats a dead give away for me. Even guys like pred and abezy have a bit of sway/recoil they are having a tough time controlling, but these random diamonds or crims in ranked dont seem to have that problem
Why I stopped playing ranked multiplayer and just ranked resurgence because it’s fun until I run into a hacker 😂
Its very disappointing how some players feel so inadequate with their own skill level that they have to take out the sole components of what makes games fun. The grind, the wins, the losses, the friends you make, the skills you build up, the emotions you give to the game and the players you fight for and against. They deliberately alienate themselves from organic gameplay just to fill an insatiable void within themselves. I love shooters, I love getting better and I love having fun while progressing. I will always feel pity towards hackers who give in to their urge to control a couple of 1s and 0s.

Cheating at is bad that EVERY SINGLE LOBBY it is a 100% guarantee that you will see 3-4 people on both teams cheating. The aren't when trying to hide it either. It's literally every single game and the more you catch, the more you will be considered a "cereal reporter" if you report them all. I think the cheaters are banking on this too so the reports get ignored.
I went to hop on tanked last night to get some rp in for first time this season. Was silver and every person I died to was a cheater it was mental had a guy on voice chat lie saying he heard my footsteps yet his killcam had him watching my exact movements haha sick of this game
As a PC mouse/keyboard player, it hurts how often I run into cheaters, even down in platinum/diamond. The constant cheating is so bad that my friends and I stopped playing MW3 a couple months ago because of it. I’ve been playing competitive forms of CoD since BO2 back on PS3 and through the change over to playing on PC, so it was very hard to step away from it but it was needed. Hopefully BO6 will come out and Ricochet will be much stronger and this cheating issue can be dulled or wiped out entirely.
As a PC player who enjoys ranked games modes (not just the bragging rights and SR gain) its awful to see the game in such a state, to the point where a whole game mode is blocked off due to cheating. I feel as though there is a core problem within a game if a ranked game mode is blocked by a $500 price tag (purchasing a PS5 console)
Thing is also you lose SR, your streak and don't get anything back. Making it impossible to rank up on pc
2 mins 10 secs in....that's happened to me today atleast 1 dozen times alone not to mention in the past week...the other thing I'll see happen is ill engage 1 guy and 3 of his time ambush me from all angles at the same time and I'm dead so fast the kill cam just shows them running away from my dead body

I’m seriously debating wether I get bo6 on my ps5 or whether I get it on pc. What do y’all think? Should I get it on pc cause I like the graphics and higher fps or get it on console and turn crossplay off for the game?

There's too many problems in COD - Cheating.....and then the other day I had 5 games where the SPAWN WAS PUNISHING, Spawn got instantly killed by mosquito, SPAWNED then killed by a claymore! The worst thing about cheaters is they just make a new account as well

Warzone ranked mode, as soon as you reach diamond, becomes a clown fiesta for cheaters.
The thing is I've been saying it for months, every game in lower ranks will have someone playing with walls or some sort of aimbot and just tweek it to help slightly. They get a longer run out of the account before it's banned and ruin it for more people. Most games in rank will have at least one hacker. So broken :/
When I turn off cross play, I just loop in the queue and never find a match. Xbox series X.

Yep how do you think they discover them ? It isn't always random blind wall banging it's often guided by aimbot that works still tracking enemies through cover or always on radar scripts to help figure those spots out ;o)

It isn’t just diamond and above, people are walling and dossing in gold and platinum which is absolutely ridiculous.
my question is, if i were to turn off crossplay on pc would i stop running into hackers? im thinking that cheaters on pc would keep crossplay on so they can get into lobbies quicker and maybe just feel like getting an advantage over all players or just forgetting about the option in the first place. im trying to think outside of the box just so that i can play pc without getting hacked on but i may be wrong

Edit: I need to say I have tons of respect for Lunch. He plays as is , doesn’t need the cheats to climb the ladder.
You can turn cross play off on Xbox it’s in settings around parental control

Meanwhile I’ve had the game 3 weeks, I’ve dealt with Lockwood shotguns , kar98 tryhards, matching against IRIs in pubs and in shipment 1v1 with a KD of 1.19 so I’m not even good.. yet when I’m 3-4 kills away from a MGB/DNA bomb I get “profile was signed out” from fake reports.. so even when I do well I’m still punished !

1.19 is an extremely good K/D in EOMM cods
if you don’t wanna get false banned make an account on ps or xbox then log into it on pc on steam and you’ll never get banned unless your actually cheating. i used to get shadowed every 2 days and haven’t for 3 months
Xbox doesn’t even let you turn cross play off and now I either have to deal with the cheaters or spend hundred of dollars just to avoid them
Cheaters find it fun to torment players and they’re basically sadistic. They won’t change. They genuinely enjoy ruining the game for others so don’t give them emotional reactions. Instead wish them the worst to come.
I’m in plat so cheaters don’t really come my way but holy shit it literally seems like there is so much input lag in every lobby to the point my sens feels every different every game

nowadays it's not even surprising finding cheaters/hackers anymore. what's really surprising it's to actually find players who's genuinely good at the game without cheats 😭 even with that we are now so used to watch people with cheats do crazy stuff on warzone,s&d, ranked etc that people will prefer watching them over non cheaters clips.
I have been in a shadowban loop since March 2023. I switched from Console to PC ( I greatly regret this ) and have been experiencing the worst gaming quality of my 21 years of living. I’m going to have to buy another ps5 just to consistently play and to get away from ACTUAL CHEATERS.
Xbox does not allow you to turn off crossplay in cod fyi. It does in console settings, but in 5 years of trying, ive never found a match in any mode with crossplay off.

I’m a iridescent ranked in MW2, the countless hours I spent is beyond what u can imagine. The very moment I hit iri, the first lobby I got was against top 250 and that 4 top250 were all hackers. God, nv a chance to win. Every game when I see a top 250, I knew I gonna lose that round until I gave up and stop at iri.
Till MW3 came, my friend ask me to play ranked again and I totally rejected them. Not worth my time anymore.
Yeah, same here somewhat. I hit crim and was getting cheaters every other few games. I had enough and quit mw2 before the 4th season. I couldnt be bothered with cod anymore and gave up my grind to a 3kd as well. Stopped at a 2.69kd. Never bought mw3
There's two ways to fix this. An intrusive anticheat like what valorant uses. OR a better anticheat that you have to pay for that puts you in lobbies with people that have that anticheat enabled, like CSGO. The problem is, Activision is too afraid to use the first option because the masses are blind to this issue or aren't as effected as the players in the comp scene, so why would they? As a PC player, who doesn't use a console, I have no choice but to play against cheaters on a daily basis. It fucking sucks.

i'm diamond 3 and about to hit crim and play against so many cheaters. i got drop shotted on sub base last night on the god heady on the crate on p3 from the water street, basically all right to the head. it's so annoying cause i can't tell when i lose a gunfight to a real player and just get shat on vs someone just blatantly cheating. i just hate that i would have to buy a ps5 to feel like i can actually gauge my skill

You can get into the game files on console. You are lucky the people who have the latest exploits have agreements with Sony to not release them. That’s the only thing stopping any mods working on the latest PS Version online.
Even if cross play is off you can still plug in a keyboard to your ps5 or Xbox and it will work instantly but mnk feels ass that way tho

Mw3 ranked, multiplayer and warzone have cheater issues. It's why I don't even touch ranked at this point. Mainly do multiplayer to unlock stuff and will play warzone occasionally.
Yeah when I played against Kiel & Pest I had 14 kills on them 4-4 and as soon as the round started I was moving my right analog stick to aim & it wasn’t letting me move my aiming stick ?? That’s never happened to me and since never happened sooo they’re upgrading

Lost 140sr in 2 days by game crashing and the most bad part is it were winning matches also lost sr by crashing while sr lost prevention while getting a new rank

Another thing is crossplay off always glitches out and kicks you out a game and you lose sr and get suspended 15 min 1st penalty

Cod doesn’t want to pay for better anti cheat is the issue. With software you have to pay for licensing to get service offerings. They choose to use their own anti cheat software instead to avoid the cost.
