Campark V40 First Look and External Audio Test in 4K30

- Finally taking the little Campark V40 action cam outside to give it a test. We are looking primarily at how the camera works, how the colors look, how well the camera stabilizes the footage, how wide the field of view is and lastly what it sounds like using an external mic. Plus we do a short tour of the camera and how the menus are set up. Let us know what you think and if you have any questions in regards to the Campark V40.
More testing coming. On a side note, it's the IS that makes the footage crop in so much. But the IS is really needed unless shooting with a tripod. So be aware that you can get wider, but not with IS turned on.

Our first test with the Campark V40 camera and we do really like the color, but it does seem that when you use the IS the camera zooms in a lot. Not sure how well this will work when you are riding a motorcycle or just want a really wide shot. It does get a lot wider when you turn the EIS off, but then its just really shaky. Ill be testing on a motorcycle this week. So hopefully more footage to come.
Audio sounds great! Good clear stable video. Looking forward to the M/C footage.
everything looks decent. im just a curious as to the width. I think I would like it wider, but that could be personal preference.
Hi, I just bought recently a V40 . Wanted to use an external mic. But the menue does not show me the point " microfone" . Any suggestions would be helful

The audio sounds really good which sadly can't be said for the internal mic. The usb c mic you use is neat but I couldn't find it in the links :-( do you have a link or a brand/name for it? Please :-) and thank you

As i`m still looking for a motorcycle helmet, , and still don`t know what to buy (i`m more to Drift ghost xl for it`s big recording time ~9h and water proof but it have some problems as many users spoke abot it, now i`m looking to more to budget ones. Could you do a "photo" sesion with gopro 7 black, campark v40, akaso brave 8, brave 7, v50 elite in daylight, and night light (as highway where is a little bit darker than city) and also "EIS"? i`m not so intrested in colors as i want them most as "dashcam" but should be nice for real color fit (without any profi iso settings) (Double Bracket Bridge Dual Adapter Expansion 2 Mount )
campark v40 which sony sensör ımx?
better than I expected. audio is clear but has that odd humming noise. The color from the campark reminds me of DJI osmo action, which isn't a bad thing. overall it seems quite half decent. I will wait for the vlog on the motocycle to hear the audio, but I deff agree not super wide at all!
yeah its the width that most concerns me. At least for my needs. Hope to be able to test this week as long as the weather plays nice.

Wow! Audio sounds great! I have a Campark X30......picture is great but the audio is nowhere as good as the V40. I will definitely consider upgrading.

So I’m guessing the sound is terrible unless you have the extra mic?
we will definitely be doing some more testing in future videos. But my guess would be that it wouldn't be near as good as with the external.
For exemple, there's no way to use it on your helmet when riding, even at low speed. There no noise reduction. It's just not bearable...

The sound is ok, but there is a low noise "rrrrrr" that is disturbing.
