On bedrock, similar to pulling mobs out of boats, you can YEET skeletons off of spiders with a fishing rod to decrease the threat
im super tempted to delete this
Wow thanks
That was hilariously unknown to me.
Good point tho almost every Minecraft veteran would say that spider jocky was one of the worst mobs so
I know it's funny i once tried it and i litterally cracked
@Don't read profile photo ok
It’s so odd to me that there’s just random small differences like this. Like a creeper exploding and leaving a lingering potion is such an oddly specific feature to be confined to one version.
Ikr I’ve never seen or heard of a lot of features he went over in this video. Like dying shulkers
Why can’t Minecraft just be Minecraft. That would end so many arguments and debates on the internet. But hey, bedrock is getting spectator mode at least. That makes them a bit more similar.

Probably because to different type of coding language and people making it
It's an entirely different game programmed in an entirely different language. It's more impressive how similar they are really
On Bedrock, if you dye a sheep's wool, it will keep that color after it's sheared. In Java sheared sheep's stubble is always white, so you can't tell what color sheep you actually have until the wool grows back. That and the potion cauldrons are the two Bedrock features I miss most on Java :D
nice amount of likes
The sheep thing is one of the ways I found out I was playing on bedrock because I didn’t know there was two versions for awhile
Potion of decay is also bedrock exclusive ....being able to mimic a fraction of the withers power is cool specially decay arrows.
The potion cauldorns would be so cool for building.
Bedrock is better
Now that bedrock has RTX shader support on PC its all I use now because it runs amazing at full chunk render, and glowing ores are amazing. I personally think Bedrock is more full and java is just raw. I just wish I could hold my torches in my other hand.

6:00 Fun Fact: in Java edition, if you use the language LOLCAT (Kingdom Of the Cats) then Impaling is called Idk Lmao (Level) which I guess is because no one knows what it does?
I know two more differences.
1) Elder guardians instantly apply and refresh the effect if you drink milk within proximity.
2) The mining fatigue animation is different in bedrock. It performs a more alive animation, instead of a static flow in and out of the screen. Also, depending on whether you are underwater or above water, the animation also produces the glitch with the glass in Armor stand.
You can also light nether portals with the fore aspect book, I got my pb speedrun using a book I had found in a pillager outpost to light my portal(1:30.32 is my time if u weee interested)
I think on bedrock edition the mining fatigue animation is an actual entity, so other players can see when it’s applied to you
@@snowpeagaming9116 nope, it copies the entity from the mob i think

2:40 Bonemeal is actually a balance change due to the fact that sugarcane grows much slower on Bedrock
It doesn’t necessarily matter because in bedrock, you can use the zero-tick kelp method which instantly generates kelp. That kelp funnels into composters and generates bone meal. That bone meal grows the sugarcane, making an op sugarcane farm! I know it got patched, but a youtuber called Mod Stop found a workaround!
That doesnt really balance considering with one bonemeal it will grow instantly and you can make zero tick sugarcane farms on newer versions

@@tenxgs Zero tick farms are a bug and the methods to make them are being patched, however since the intended farms are much slower than their Java counterparts, bonemeal was introduced as a way to remedy that.

As someone who’s unable to play Java Addition I’m honestly shocked how simple things i’m used to don’t exist in Java
I think the most difficult thing with trying to make the versions the same is picking which version has the better take on a feature, such as quasi-connectivity.
Personally I hope they stick with the bedrock version of redstone. It’s still buggy, but that’s mostly with consistency issues rather than mechanical bugs with actual machines, like pistons.
Definitely glad the newest update has made some changes to Bedrock parity though, like making hunger the same and adding the ability for axes to disable shields, along with balancing certain mobs.

And I had a whole Lightshow involved with changing the time of day, lightning, particle effects, fireworks, and all that stuff. And then I found out that you could put a music disc in a hopper and let it flow into a Music box. Then just by using a command block I could activate a Redstone signal to turn the hopper on and off to change the music when it ended.
Also if you have a hopper under the music box, it will remove the disk that was just played, and then play the next disc if the other hopper is attached.
That Gave me an Idea! Cause then you could make a hopper filter into the first hopper!

one thing i want in java is how in bedrock you can join friends without paying for a server with decent latency
Fun fact: Until owners of one version got access to both (only on pc), I’ve never played Java before. So you can imagine how confused I was when I saw that running 8RC on Java is the same if not far more difficult than 64RC on Bedrock.
The Java edition of Minecraft is a lot harder to optimize than the Bedrock edition because of the Java programming language being garbage collected (and being a JIT/interpreted lang)
Oh but I forgot to mention why exactly you’ll not find Java edition on macOS or iOS or iPadOS: Java is a just-in-time compiled language that generates its instructions when the program is run. Apple does not allow software that has this behavior. Plus, Minecraft is already very intense to run, it doesn’t help trying to generate its instructions on slower hardware like the Nintendo Switch or Xbox 360.
I love these types of videos that can showcase what's different about the separate versions hopefully wanting and making parity a bigger priority. I only use bedrock but there's so many features it's missing and if it gets noticed than maybe it will call to action to bring them over.

Something as simple as being able to put stuff like lanterns below slabs and other items is something that needs to be in bedrock
The reason trick number two (fences under end portal) is because a fence has a hitbox 1.5 blocks tall which is exactly tall enough so that when you stand on the portal, you are standing on the fences. This also works with walls

Bedrock player since 2016, here's my findings about bedrock that dont exist in java:
1. On bedrock, foxes can sleep on slabs, even if there is no block above that slab to lower the sky light level. (Its probably a reference to the fox sanctuaries irl where foxes sleep in wooden/stone slabs)
2. Bedrock has a much efficient chunk handler (and loader) than java (which means bedrock can run on potato pc's and laptops)
3. On bedrock, flying on creative wont give you that annoying "walking on ice" physics when you stop pressing the movement buttons (which means you can place blocks precisely in bedrock than java when in creative mode) you just stop instantly after pressing the wasd keys.
4. On bedrock, foxes follow you when you have a sweet berry on your main hand unlike in java where foxes just ignore you.
5. On bedrock, you can repeatedly breed the same pair of foxes over and over again anytime, unlike in java where you have to wait every 5-8 mins or so to breed the same pair of foxes again.
3. depends on wich you're used to being a java player and using creative often i can say that its not actually frustrating when you get used to it
2. we have optifine
bedrock has lots of problems displaying multiple entities on screen. I've noticed that it starts lagging way before java. usually that wont be an issue, but on bigger maps like a city that will quickly become problematic.
@@voidbite Bedrock has way better performance than Java + Optifine. I know because I have a potato PC and playing Bedrock I can have 4x fps than Java + Optifine.
