      We would of loved to have travelled more but we need to settle down & start working for several reasons so travelling for 2 months was always our plan, we’ll do more travelling in the future though☺️

    Glad you are enjoying exploring Aus. I guess you will explore the places between cities once you are settled and own a vehicle. Adelaide is a lovely city and more manageable size than Sydney or Melbourne. It will be fresh but hey no problem for a couple of adventurous Brits. I went to the UK in November-December and I still loved it. Have fun and see you in your South Australia adventures.

      Thank you so much, we are really loving our adventures so far 😁
      Yes definitely, we would like to live outside of a City (but with easy access to the City) so once we have chosen where we would like to live we’ll spend some time exploring that area in further depth to explore outside the City further 😁
      We’re glad you loved your visit to the UK, although chilly in December we both love that time of year, such a great time to explore!
      Thank you for following our adventures!

    Glad you liked my hometown, It's a bit chilly at the moment, we get the arctic breeze down here a lot. In summer the temps can get up to 40c sometimes> There's a crowded house song about Melbourne weather, called "Four seasons in one day" :D

      Hi Dan! We really did like Melbourne, there is so much to do there☺️
      Wow, crazy how much the temperature can differ! We would love to visit again in the Summer!

    Hi guys. Just a little correction = you "haven't" officially left the east coast sorry, Melbourne is still on the east coast. If you go to Adelaide, you'll be on the south coast, and if you come across to Perth you'll be on the west coast. Enjoy your time in Melbourne, and I do hope you intend on coming over to Perth, we have a lot to see and do here.

    • @OurAusAdventure
      @OurAusAdventure  2 года назад +1

      Hi Roslyn, ah thank you for the correction! Still all new to us so we were just going off of what we had been told☺️ so good to know, thank you so much!
      We’re in Perth currently and really love it! If you have any recommendations of anything to do/see please let us know😁 we have a big list already but don’t want to miss anything!

      @@OurAusAdventure Welcome to Perth 😁. We've got a few wet days this week I'm afraid. If you have the time, a trip north to Exmouth, Karijini National Park, Geke gorge, Shark Bay are all great. While in Perth - The Perth Zoo, go see our WA native numbats, poteroos, quokkas. Go over to Rottnest Island (have quokkas there also). Cohuna koala park in Byford is good. A day trip hour sth of Perth to Mandurah (where I am) is a great day out. The Perth museum is always a great place to go with lots to see, they have a dinosaur exhibition there atm. It's a bit late in the year to enjoy the south west region (Albany, Esperance, Denmark, Pemberton, Margaret River) a bit too wet and cold now, but if that's ok with you and you have a vehicle to get around in, go for it. If you guys need help while you're here, just shout out and I'll do my best to help you guys out. Enjoy and keep on smiling 😁

      Amazing, thank you so much! There’s some in there that we haven’t got on our list so we’ve added them on, we’re in Perth for at least 2.5 weeks so got lots of time for exploring😁
      We went to Mandurah the other day and really loved it ☺️ Such a beautiful place, we loved how much water there is there!
      Thank you so much, we really appreciate it!

      @@OurAusAdventure You're most welcome guys.....more ideas - you can do a Swan River Winery Cruise. Go up to the Swan Valley wine region (where I grew up lol) and spend a day sampling wines at Sandalford, Houghtons, and many others. While you're in the Swan Valley, head up West Swan Road and stop at the Margaret River Chocolate factory, then further up the same road stop at the Ice-creamery, then The Aboriginal Art's and museum, and LOTS of other artisan places along there to stop and eat (some awesome restaurant's there)....South in Margaret River, it's a wine and foodies heaven, and a great place to spend a weekend....i'm sure you would've gone up to Kings Park already ? it sits above and looks down on the city of Perth, and a fantastic place to take a picnic dinner, and see Perth at night. You've also got the walk over bridge, a must do at Kings Park...Another great place to visit is Whitemans Park also in the Swan Valley. So glad you enjoyed Mandurah, just ashame it's the wrong time of year for you guys to taste our fresh "estuary Blue Crabs" here, because they are yummmm if you guys like seafood. Honestly guys, if you need info on something, directions, any questions, or help in any way, PLEASE don't hesitate to give me a shout ok....I'm disabled, so am always here and available to help you out ok. Keep on smiling and having fun guys, enjoy xox

      @@OurAusAdventure I've come back to let you know, that if you plan on travelling up north, and are needing to save some money, go to Woolworths, Coles, IGA etc and buy what we call "cordial" (pronounced cor de al) pour approx 1 inch in a tall glass and fill with water, stir and drink. or take packs of cool drinks (soft drinks) with you, same as chocolates, snacks, picnic cheeses, savoury biscuits - shapes (crackers) and take those things with you. Once you hit Geraldton, and keep going north, the prices start doubling, and once you hit Broome, expect to pay almost triple the price of here in Perth, because you're having to pay truck freight for every item you purchase. Any thing and every thing is very expensive the further north you go, so stock up before you go guys....keep on smiling guys

    Great! Planning to move to Melbourne from Texas, USA. What else do I need to know?

    • @OurAusAdventure
      @OurAusAdventure  2 года назад +2

      Hi Jahedur, how exciting that you’re planning your move! Melbourne is great, there’s so much to do there☺️ We only stayed a week so didn’t get chance to do everything but we’d definitely recommend doing some research of places you want to see/do as there’s so much. Not sure what your situation is with housing but if you’re planning to rent we would recommend either getting in touch with an agent before your move to try and secure a rental or booking an air bnb or somewhere to stay for the first month, just like anywhere in the world the rental market is very competitive so better to be prepared and have a roof over your head during the transition ☺️ I’m sure you’ve heard before but definitely prepare for all weathers in Melbourne, we had a variety of weathers and if we were moving to Melbourne we definitely would of packed our luggage differently! There’s also little things to sort when you move that are easy to forget - sorting your TFN number, changing over your driving licence, sorting out phones, opening bank accounts, getting your travel card for public transport and sorting out Medicare etc so if you are able to definitely make sure you give yourself a day or two to get that all sorted when you arrive ☺️ Good luck with the move, we’re sure you’ll love this beautiful Country as much as we do!
