About this item
ATX 500w power supplies for PC gaming stable output
80 PLUS Bronze certified and with 5 Years Warranty
All cables are black and not ketchup and mustard colored
120mm ultra quiet fan with excellent cooling performance
Heavy protection including OVP/UVP/OPP/SCP
This isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but for £32 and 80 plus bronze rated, and a FIVE year warranty, surely it can't be that bad or they would be out of business by now?
I also contacted other reviewers to get their take on it, and from what i can see they aren't causing problems and won't be needing the monotone messiah to do any investigating on this one.
So for a budget PC this might be just the ticket.

Great video thanks Mike
Nice review Mike and Lady Kath. I have 3 of those. 500watt, 550watt, and 650watt. No issues with any of them. I bought them on Amazon US when they cam out in 2020. I have the 550watt one in my daily driver. Take care everyone. Cheers
where any of the fans noisy on yours?
@@mikesunboxing None Mike. It's probably due to my PC sets across the room next to my TV.
The first one of 3 I bought had a coupon for a free gaming rgb mousepad I posted a review. I had little faith to actually get it but I got it and it was nice actually.
For the psu, they are all doing good in these low to moderate power computer I built
As a user of budget psu in 2 pc's without any issues this appeals to my pocket. I assume if you had the money to buy high end mb /cpu/ gpu you wudnt be looking at these. So imo good value for entry level systems! Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
I agree it is about the system as a whole, you wouldn’t pair this with a high end system to save a few quid, this is for more budget builds
We need more value options in today's world. Cheers Mike
very true
Mike's Unboxing & Review is Worthy of a Support comment. Like & a share 🙂
UPDATE - ordered another one and the fan was even louder so for me it was too much so I have returned it. If noise is a concern maybe pay a bit more for the Gamemax Rampage 500w if you can find one

Good review Mike.l’m an old stick in the mud Corsair RMX fan 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
yeah different beast altogether
Thanx for your Vdeo - i can just repeat your thoughts about this ultra-cheap PSU. I just used that PSU in 5 Low-budget used-Builds for now with hardware like Ryzen 2600 / 4790K and GPUs like 1080 oder 2060S - until now i heared nothing negative from the buyers. I thinkt it's much better than buy a pre-used 30€ PSU. I still orderd some more of them...
i liked it other than the fan noise, which i found to be an annoying pitch
BANG ! Only joking lol. Decent PSU at a decent price.........and we all know Bob loves it cheap and cheerful 🙂
me too
If a PSU manages to prevent any coil whine happening in my pc, whether its a brand nobody heard of, bronze or gold..... im ready to pay whatever price. I value silence and reliability so much
I’ve used this power supply, not noisy at all. Primary reason I choose this is #1: price #2: bronze rating #3: no nasty mustard colored cables, I have one in my Amazon cart right now as I’m getting to flip a i5 and 500 watt actually gives more than enough wattage for what I need. I like these enough that I’m going to continue to buy them.
i am a little fussy about fan noise
@@mikesunboxing I expect fan noise but I get it, I usually run my case fans at 100% I want air circulation but some fans are louder than others and I’ve had people say I want it quieter and I’ll reset the fans. I’ve had no issues with fan noise on mine though it’s very quiet.
i have this exact psu ,had a powersurge buy lightening it died but protected my components just fine , i just went and bought another
it did exactly what it is supposed to do, can't ask much more than that
@03:21 Complete protection: OPP ???
Army with harmony
Dave drop a load on 'em
OPP, how can I explain it
I'll take you frame by frame it
To have y'all jumpin' shall we singin' it
O is for Other, P is for People scratchin' temple
The last P... well... that's not that simple
It's sorta like another way to call a cat a kitten
It's five little letters that are missin' here
You get on occassion at the other party
As a game 'n it seems I gotta start to explainin'
Bust it
🎼🎵🎶🎹
you down with OPP? Yeah you know me
@@mikesunboxing Did see it. and the past came by for a sec. did not know back then about the lyrics. but the music was cool 😀
Been using it for around a year now in my gaming PC and it's great 💯
glad to hear it, is yours a bit noisy fan wise?
@@mikesunboxingi have one too and its almost silent
i will pair one of these (a 750w one) with an RTX 4070 and a 5600x... it will let me room for futures upgrades 😎
let us know how it goes
@@mikesunboxing i have to say this PSU (750W) for an RTX 4070 is a solid buy... no problem until now... easy to install, is a solid rock PSU... recomended to anyone!!
What would be the highest GPU to run on this PSU? I was thinking of using a GTX 1070 with this PSU, do you think it would be able to handle it with a Ryzen 5 3600 system?
consider it as a 450w PSU really after the efficiency overhead, so a ryzen 3600 will be 100w at the most and the 1070 is a 150w tdp in theory but could draw up to 200w so you should be fine with that, but that is about the limit i would keep comfortable at
Instantly read that as Arsegame
lol i did to be honest
Does anyone know if i could use a intel i5 10400f and 3060ti zotac with this power supply?
should be fine with a little to spare
