The Demko Shark Cub Aluminium has been one of my most favorite knives over the last few weeks, for me it is the best design of all Demko pocket knives.
Embrace the perfection that is SPY27. Had a native 5 in it… loved it and bought a Manix 2 in it… and I just got a UKPK in it a couple days ago. Such a wonderful user and a joy to sharpen.
Picked up a Shaman this year. Looks like the KnifeCenter exclusive S90V model is not only out of stock (again), but is discontinued-at least that’s what their site says. Glad I got one, love it so far. Super psyched to hear the Excaliburs are starting to ship out! I’ve been refreshing my order status daily… I also have a Compadre, along with timascus backspacers and pocket clips both for it, and my Padre, on the way.
Congratulations on your collaboration with Kunwu. That's a nice looking knife. I was expecting the first Metal Complex model to be closer to a Midgard Messer.
@@parkewalton i was thinking about retiring using the "Poopy Pablo" references in the Metal Underscore Complex comments section...or should i always keep referring to the LEGEND of Poopy Pablo?
AD20.5 has dominated my pocket this year. Fabulous piece. So much so I’m making a piecemeal custom from other makers parts on the AD20.5 frame. That being said, I freaking need a shaman.
i really enjoy the form factor of the shark cub but for some reason the shark cub feels like it takes 3/4ths more strength to pull the lock bar down compared to the 20.5
I can’t be the only one thinking contoured micarta would take Demko shark locks to the next level. I’ve used my 20.5 as my back up outdoor knife. I’ve had the 3v version and now I have a 20cv version. Both handle batoning very well on about 3/4 the blade length thickness branches. The factory scales aren’t very comfortable for use for any length of time but the OG fat scales do help. I can’t wait to try the Shark Cub, it looks like it has a much more comfortable handle.
There's no way I thought the Neurohaptic would be on this list, I thought I was the only one who just loved this knife. I picked up the green one with blacked out blade the day it came out. I was wondering worried about the button lock on a knife this large, but mine works perfect.
My spy 27 shaman came from the factory really tight. I can still flick it open, but I think it takes too much effort to close, compared to all my other compression locks.
I carried the same vosteed top liner lock knife with Christmas scales since the first of December. It’s a great knife but damn Its sure nice to pocket something different!
I actually really like that Civivi from the beginning of the video. Outside of the different Banter variants, Civivi knives don't usually get my attention.
I know you plan on doing a 2-piece Excalibur. I'd love to see a mini version at either 7.00" or 7.5" overall as well. I know I personally would love that. The forward choil and overall profile would really work as a smaller knife. I would most definitely buy it.
If you ever seen the Civivi Sentinel Strike 2 (personally own one) he could always implement a ‘faux’ integral, where part of the spine is G10/polymer making for a near solid backing and maybe even a aluminum handle to really drive the price down. Since he does plan to stick with Kunwu, can expect it to be $200+ still as he’s mentioned regarding cheaper versions. I’m excited regardless to see what he does
I don't blame you for your knife being your number one. After all you designed it for you. I hope to pick up an Excaliber. Probably have to get one on the secondary though unfortunately. Anyway great video, I really enjoyed it. 👍🔥🔥🔥🤘
I hope more companies will do a full back spacer in lieu of either none, or a tiny one in the back. I think it could give the illusion and satisfaction of an integral without the cost. I don't like seeing nice looking titanium scales and then flipping it over to see right through. It feels cheap and I'm sure it could be done without raising the price exponentially. Could someone get on that for me? Thanks!😊
Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in CruWear or cpmS30V my but it is a matter of individual preference as it doesn't work well as a screwdriver or pry bar but for $2 you can get a screwdriver.
I have absolutely adored by Demko Shark Cub stealth. It is absolutely perfect for me. The only thing is a rattle coming from the stop pin up top. It really drives me nuts. I have got it to stop temporarily by moving the pins around. But it keeps coming back. Might have to send it in. Anyone else getting a rattle from their stealth cub?
@ “slept on” as in I’ve seen multiple comments on videos and posts of people saying they regret second guessing and not buying it. It sold so fast cause I guarantee they didn’t make over 100 of them. Glad I didn’t second guess it myself.
@@dylana.601 well if they didn’t make over 100 I would say it wasn’t slept on as much as it was just made for people like you, and anyone who had even tertiary interest (like myself) had no shot at all. There’s prob a lot more people that wanted it badly like yourself and still couldn’t get one
Of course. That’s the way capitalism works. China will manufacture a higher quality product at a lower cost. Are you some sort of tariff luving socialist?
Paying that much money and getting a "wonky" bevel in a super steel.🤮 Not everyone can easily fix that especially in a super steel. Also why are we expecting that just about every company's warranty is void if you disassemble it (these aren't electronics or complex machines) which is required to properly deep clean the knife pivot?!?!?!😢 I do want a shaman tho that blue looks beautiful.
It's a real bummer that Shark Cub only comes in AUS10a (🤮) or 20CV (also 🤮). I like the design and size but those are just bad and worse steel choices for a pocket knife.
I disagree completely. Aus10a is a basic steel but far from "bad". 20CV has a proven and time tested track record of being a very good general pocket knife steel. Objectively good. Not my favorite but factually a great steel for most people
@zeromalice9981 they have been on sale for a reasonable price now in my opinion. I have the ad20.5 and it's horrible to fidget for me but that doesn't make it a bad knife
@metal_complex can you help me find one of the Demko i cant find one and i really want one your own knife also looks cool but looks more like a collecters item but cool knife!
