@@zackd2139 You can buy directly from Zerrows, they have a website. By the wait is pretty long. Not as long as Wesco, but more than a year at this point. There are not a bunch of retailers who sell them unfortunately. The store where these engineers came from is DC4 in Berlin, but they don’t look like they have engineers at the moment. Might be worth asking them if and when they expect more. The other shop is in England, East West Apparel. They have some stock but fairly picked over now. Again, worth asking them when they expect more to come in. The positive there is no wait, but the con is they will cost a good bit more than buying direct from Zerrows and waiting.
@ omg! Actually i am planning to get one skoob because of your video! And sizing advice! Looking for best fit engineering boots is more like Cinderella looking for the right glass high heels with no heel slip 🤣
@ It’s definitely a journey finding a well fitting engineer. But when you do, it’s magic! The horsebutt on the Skoobs (both the engineer and the boondocker) is excellent. They really take pride in their work.
@@christophlaureys4848 As a brannock 11.5, the half down 11 fits me perfect in their engineer and Pecos. The Zerrows engineer is the best I’ve experienced in design, fit, materials, and construction. I’ll get more when I can.
Big fan of black boot myself, and what lovely pair. I'm highly jealous! I would love to hear a little about the pros/cons of each, potentially why you are selling some pairs and not others. It's brands I'm highly interested in acquiring shoes from, so it would be great to hear some feedback on the above.
Pros and cons of each pair: - Whites Farmer/Rancher: Amazing rolls, love the Horween horsehide and the 7" hight on these boots, but I have the Horween cxl horsehide on the Wesco Mister Lous, so sold those now. - Skoob engineers: Maybe the best horsebutt of them all. So thick and nice grain. Skoob really brings the heat with their leather. I have their boondocker as well, and it also has just amazing horsebutt. But sending these in a boot trade, because I have two other black horse leather engineers in the Wesco's and Zerrows that fit better than the Skoob for me. - Zerrows engineer: Just flat out love this boot! My best-fitting engineer. Beautiful, thick horsebutt here as well. These Japanese makers really deliver on the quality leather, construction, and style. - Wesco Mister Lou: These are just great, love them. Love the Horween CXL horsehide. It's pliable but tough and looks great. - RDT Jodhpur: Says it's horsebutt, but looks and feels more like the cxl horsehide. So, not as thick, but the way RDT makes it with amazing liner makes it super comfortable and rolls beautifully. Like the other Japanese makers, the build quality and design on these is brilliant.
@@CsawBoots Thank you very much for the very detailed response! I appreciate it! If I may ask one more question, I recently saw your video on Vibergs 1035 last - how would you say it compares fit and comfort wise to the White's 55? I do have quite a bit of toe-splay, so judging from your feedback Zerrows would be able to make a good pull-on boot for me. I would like to also add a lace-up boot in the long run
@ For me, I wear the same size in the 1035 and the 55. Both 10.5E, and the E width being important especially in the 55 last. But they fit rather different. The 55 has a much higher heel and that big arch, whereas the Vibergs are a low block heel with little in the way of arch support. For toe splay, the 1035 works better than the 2030 that has that tapered almond shaped toe.
@@CsawBoots But does the 55 accomodate toe-splay the same way as the 1035? If they don't, it definitely sounds like I should be pursuing Vibergs over White's! Living in Europe it's fairly difficult to find anything done on White's Swing last.
@ I don’t know that I’d say either handles toe splay well, but the 1035 does better than the 55 which has a deceptively narrow toe box, and the 1035 certainly does better than the 2030. Depending on how low or high volume your foot is, you could also consider the 2055/2045/2040 lasts from Viberg as well. Anything more anatomical will do best.
Thanks for letting me buy those White's :) they are sick
@@roepetoepa Those are legit, enjoy! 🙌
How does one go about grabbing a pair of ZERROWS. Love the profile and toe.
