I thought it was the mouthpiece too, but he ends up playing when the band sings the fight song, so unless he has another mouthpiece in hand, it was something else. Losing the mouthpiece sucks, been there one too many times!
That was very classy of the band to play the Wisconsin fight song and form a W. I always enjoy watching the Script Ohio but I have one complaint: Why do the cameramen have to be so close to the band when they dot the I? It almost looks like an apostrophe.
I wish they would show the bands at halftime the way they used to do, without boring us to tears telling us of all the other scores on the day. There will be plenty of time for that later.
Carmen still plays the chimes of Orton Hall, but I don't think they play on campus any more. What ever happened to that delightful part of the OSU experience?

I never realize they had a backup plan just in case the I-Dotter was unable to perform the solo. Cool stuff.
