    Not bad but I am looking for something that can track if I add more to a position or if I take profit.

      You can add a new line for each purchase (you may want to do this for tax purposes anyway). Then, use a function to combine the values of those rows, then hide the individual lines.

    What about tracking sells, mining and transaction fees? You are off to a good start, but it's not a complete picture of a real crypto portfolio. Also, it would be helpful to track cost basis, especially when trading one currency for another.

      Hello! Thank you for reaching out. There is a slight delay between the market and the tracker so if there is a huge movement in either direction it may still be displaying the older price, or take a few minutes to catch up to the current coin price.

    Thanks for the video. The Current Price formula is giving me this error message: "Error
    Function INDEX parameter 3 value is 2. Valid values are between 0 and 1 inclusive."

      The original landing page must have changed. The formula needs to be updated to another table or another URL.

    Hi, I downloaded the spreadsheet, but the formula for current price does not work?

    • @SpreadsheetPoint
      @SpreadsheetPoint  6 месяцев назад

      Sometimes the target site, where we pull the prices, adjusts. In those cases, you'll need to update the formula to the new site layout. I hope this helps!

      Make sure you're pulling from the correct spot on the site. Sometimes they'll update where that information is displayed, and the formula needs to be updated accordingly. I hope this helps!

    how do you change this in to uk currency?

    • @SpreadsheetPoint
      @SpreadsheetPoint  Год назад

      Hello! The values can be converted to GBP by using a Google Finance formula by finding the conversion rate and then multiplying the foreign value by that conversion rate. In this case, it would look something like:
      =GOOGLEFINANCE("CURRENCY:USDGBP")
      which is around 0.8
      Then they'd multiply the desired value (e.g. the "Current Price") by the conversion rate.
      One last thing that would be helpful is at the end they should manually adjust the formatting to change "Custom Currency" from "$" to "£"
      Let us know if you have more questions!

    The formula doesn't work, it says. "The value for Parameter 3 from function INDEX is 2. Valid values are 0 t/m 1"

      Sometimes we need to update our formulas because the web-scraping has changed. Try this formula instead: =if(isblank(B4),"",index(IMPORTHTML(CONCATENATE("www.marketwatch.com/investing/cryptocurrency/",B4),"list",21),1,1))
