The story we get in flashback was the story of our present hero's father. And you get more about his father in 2nd one to understand about his father's and his mother's (who was prisoner) story , and what happend to them. And also you finished the reaction little-bit early there is some glimpse of 2nd movie in 1st movie. At last loved your reactions ❤.

Bahubali made the second tattoo by dropping a snake, while the snake was moving it's tail on her shoulder he used to same movements as a disguise to paint the tattoo! We need lot of more movie watching IQ to understand these small details 😅

3:40 The reason why Ram and Akhtar don´t simply jump of the bridge but do it from a running horse and driving motorcycle is because SS Rajamouli got so much complains about why Bahubali tried to do the jump like this. 34:35 Foot on head means "I am beneath you, you are more important than my life." Final note. The flashback IS the main story, the NOW is just do give it an interesting beginning and a wrap up.

85% of Indian movies are soap operaish. 90-95% of Indian movies are 2.5-3 Hours long. 90% of Indian movies will have songs. 53:55 Yes, it's true. RRR is one of a kind and no one expected it to be as successful as it was. Even the director did not. He was surprised and finally acknowledged it. It was one of the biggest budgets(70-73 Million $) when it came out. But the older you go the lesser the budget, the lesser the technology. Story and over-the-top would still be the same though.
The higher budget and production values of RRR made the over-the-top action scenes look more "cool" rather than "cringe". Over the top action scenes in lower budget movies will look cringe AF.

Montages are common tropes used in movies to imply the passage of time. RRR is an action movie with limited runtime available. They cannot spend 1 hour of run time showing their gradual evolution of friendship, hence the montage.
The undressing scene makes sense because avantika doesn't actually want to be a warrior though she doesn't back down with task. So when bahubali bought out her feminine side she decides to be her true self.

But he had seen her sad while looking at her reflection and just showed her that she can be beautiful in this manner too. Also, he did undress her a bit. And he was a stranger to her at the time. But for that time and his background, he probably didn't see anything wrong in doing that. If we don't apply today's standards and just try to enjoy the movie, it won't seem so cringey 🤷🏻♀️
Lot of western guys feel its kinda creepy when shiva gives transformation to avanthika.. but the directors point is totally different.. Its simply conveying that she is really beautiful.. cuz avantika had little insecure feeling about her beaty as she was in warrior attire.. thats why she just disturb her reflection in the water.. It’s still uncomfortable for many women. It’s not “western” to feel weird about a dude undressing a woman he just met. His pure intentions are not apparent till the end of the scene. Any woman (like her) would get angry as it was happening. Any man who thinks it’s just “sooo beautiful” has to imagine his sister in her place and a random ass dude deciding how to dress her up .

@None Nope, False conclusions. First Point: It can be difficult to distinguish between people from other ethnicities. I am pretty sure many Indians will have same issue distinguishing people from China, Korea, Japan etc. There is nothing sinister in it. Indians don't find this issue with western people because generally we are more exposed to their content and so we are subconciously familiar with their facial features more. Second Point: Lengthy flashbacks are very rarely used in western cinema, even if they did use, they make it very clear that it is a flashback either by using a different colour palate, lighting, costumes etc. In Indian cinema, flashbacks are quite common. So, Indian audience are more trained to detect them in movies. Also, the trope of single actor playing multiple characters (Father and Son in Baahubali) in a movie is a very Indian concept. You will rarely find this elsewhere.
This movie is very good! but you need to see the second one for context. I remember when I watched the first movie I was totally lost and had more questions than answers but when I watched second movie everything made sense lol.

We literally waited almost 3 years for the part 2 bahubali the conclusion . before bahubali part 1 the director has less budget and this time he has high budget because bahubali 1 was a biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. So he go all out in the second part. Believe me part 2 is much bigger and better than part1 . After watching Bahubali 2 , I would recommend you to watch " Sardar Uddham Singh" . The movie is based on true event in Indian history that took place in British colonial era during the year 1919 to 1940. Its from a different director and a totally different kind of film than these two. I am sure you will learn a lot from there. Thanks for such genuine reactions.

Rajmata is Ballhaldev's mother, Mahendra Bahubali is her sisters kid and in this movie they begin the movie with Mahendra Bahubali's son Amarendra Bahubali, then Amarendra unknowingly rescues his own mother from Ballhaldev's kingdom, Devsena who is Mahendra Bahubali's wife imprisoned who avantika was trying to free, story is about how Ballhaldev's manipulates Rajmata and takes everything from Bahubali. Rajmata during beginning movie carries Bahubali in her hand in the sea, only her hand is out holding Amarendra, she is dead, since women in my country are perceived as goddesses they are believed to have this kind of conviction, strength and powers when one's they decided a task, so either way in the movies beginning Amarendra is carried on her hand and that hand hands him over to a tribe women, who adopts Amarendra and becomes his second mother.
Avantika always wanted to look beautiful, but due to the situation she had in her kindom she made her look like a warrior... And shiva revealed that... Thats all the song in the starting wants to tell..( it is same as a lady who is housewife but always wanted to work outside so a man comes and made her realise that she can do it ) its the same .. its always about what you really want to do .. not what everyone in the society wants you to do ....
In India there is an ancient pratises of covering the Eyes of the horses so the horse doesn't run in wrong direction when get scared and the horses is trained only to run as directed without vision, although not all horses but the all royal horses were definitely trained to run with vision.

few points so that you understand the plot better (in the order of events occuring in time) - *no spoilers for part 2* a. Queen mother "Sivagami" is the wife of "Bijjaldev", the crippled man. His younger brother gets his throne, so Bijjaldev is salty. b. Bijjaldev's brother, the king, dies young, and his wife gives birth to a son, but herself couldnt survive the childbirth. the kid is named "Amarendra Bahubali" by Sivagami. c. Sivagami and Bijjaldev's own son is "Bhalaldev". Sivagami raises both Bhalaldev (or Bhalla for short) and Bahubali (or Bahu for short) as her own sons equally, and promises to make the more worthy one as the king. d. As you see in the flashback (actually the main plot of the story), the two go through many hardships and training. While Bhalla is shown as the jealous and arrogant type, Bahu is kinder and more understanding towards everyone, even the soldiers like Kattappa, who are a lower caste than royalty like himself. e.The story moves along, the war secrets are stolen and given to Kalakeya (point of note, many people think the dark skin of the Kalakeyan army soldiers is in bad taste or racist, but here in India, many south indian people have equally darker skin, and from a story point of view, Kalakeya are basically shown as a South Indian invading force.) f. Bahubali tries to follow Sivagami's orders and keeps the Kalakeyan general alive, but Bhalla kills him from far and "technically" wins the war/the bet to assign king. g. She sacrifices her own life to Lord Shiva, in return asking to spare the baby, named "Mahendra Bahubali". i. Now you both got confused on how they recognised this Bahubali later, even though he was just a baby. The plot is that Mahendra Bahubali has a very similar face to his father Amarendra Bahubali. j. The tribes find this baby, name him Shiva after Lord Shiva, he goes on to climb the waterfall (all very straightforward). k. Shiva finds the camp of rebels who are trying to save "Devasena" (his mother and Amarendra Bahubali's wife) from imprisonment, and finds and "befriends" Avantika, who is a rebel. l. He goes to the palace, rescues Devasena, is captured, fights his way out against "Bhadra" (Bhalaldev's son) and Katappa. I request you guys to please figure out a setup which allows you both to wear earphones/headphones in both of the ears to get the full experience. Most of the times you wont be feelin the music or the dialouges coz you are distracted. This hands down has to be my biggest pet peeve watching these movie reactions on youtube.

1) Actually the first song chorus is written about 5000 years ago by the king of Sri Lanka "Ravana" as he was probly the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva so the song describe Lord Shiva. 2) Bahubali undresses and change Avantika's looks without her consent is because she don't even know her femininity and he wanted to show her that how beautiful she is. Though it's not very moral according to today's social reality but this movie is in history so we can ignore that for this movie I guess. 3) People know he is Mahendra Bahubali is because he looks just like his father Amrendra Bahubali. So when people see Shiva they think he is bahubali who is actually dead. 4) I wished u should have watched Hindi version instead. Hindi version is best after the original telugu one. I did not like this dubbed version at all, their voices is not suiting the actual characters. T_T.
This Malayalam dubbing is usually the worst dubbing out of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi , kannada because it usually has the least budget. Please don’t watch the sequel in this language.

I was thinking how could you not get it sooner that the bahubali from the beginning is mahendra bahubali who is son of amarendra bahubali the one katappa killed in last scene. And the woman in chain is his mother and wife of amarendra bahubali. And the Queen who died to save the child is actually aunt of amarendra bahubali but she raise him as her own child and she is the grandmother of mahendra bahubali. I hope you understood now.
Ok let me make it clear for you😅 :- from the starting of Indian cinema when the main characters are two like twin brothers and role of father and son. The role must be played by the same actor. So, that's why I'm in this movies their are 2 bahubalis. 1st is "amrender bahubali" and 2nd one is his son, whose name is" Mahender bahubali". The flashback was about the " amrender bahubali". The same thing will happen on Bahubali 2. Hope, you understand it

We literally waited almost 3 years for the part 2 bahubali the conclusion . before bahubali part 1 the director has less budget and this time he has high budget because bahubali 1 was a biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. So he go all out in the second part. Believe me part 2 is much bigger and better than part1 . Why kattapa killed bahubali? #WKKB was trending in Twitter for almost 2 years that was the level of hype was created for the part 2

After watching Bahubali 2 , I would recommend you to watch " Sardar Uddham Singh" . The movie is based on true event in Indian history that took place in British colonial era during the year 1919 to 1940. Its from a different director and a totally different kind of film than these two. I am sure you will learn a lot from there. Thanks for such genuine reactions.

Rajmata is Ballhaldev's mother, Mahendra Bahubali is her sisters kid and in this movie they begin the movie with Mahendra Bahubali's son Amarendra Bahubali, then Amarendra unknowingly rescues his own mother from Ballhaldev's kingdom, Devsena who is Mahendra Bahubali's wife imprisoned who avantika was trying to free, story is about how Ballhaldev's manipulates Rajmata and takes everything from Bahubali.
Rajmata during beginning movie carries Bahubali in her hand in the sea, only her hand is out holding Amarendra, she is dead, since women in my country are perceived as goddesses they are believed to have this kind of conviction, strength and powers when one's they decided a task, so either way in the movies beginning Amarendra is carried on her hand and that hand hands him over to a tribe women, who adopts Amarendra and becomes his second mother.

few points so that you understand the plot better (in the order of events occuring in time) - *no spoilers for part 2*
a. Queen mother "Sivagami" is the wife of "Bijjaldev", the crippled man. His younger brother gets his throne, so Bijjaldev is salty.
b. Bijjaldev's brother, the king, dies young, and his wife gives birth to a son, but herself couldnt survive the childbirth. the kid is named "Amarendra Bahubali" by Sivagami.
c. Sivagami and Bijjaldev's own son is "Bhalaldev". Sivagami raises both Bhalaldev (or Bhalla for short) and Bahubali (or Bahu for short) as her own sons equally, and promises to make the more worthy one as the king.
d. As you see in the flashback (actually the main plot of the story), the two go through many hardships and training. While Bhalla is shown as the jealous and arrogant type, Bahu is kinder and more understanding towards everyone, even the soldiers like Kattappa, who are a lower caste than royalty like himself.
e.The story moves along, the war secrets are stolen and given to Kalakeya (point of note, many people think the dark skin of the Kalakeyan army soldiers is in bad taste or racist, but here in India, many south indian people have equally darker skin, and from a story point of view, Kalakeya are basically shown as a South Indian invading force.)
f. Bahubali tries to follow Sivagami's orders and keeps the Kalakeyan general alive, but Bhalla kills him from far and "technically" wins the war/the bet to assign king.
g. Even tho Bhalla killed the Kalakeyan general, Bahu is assigned the king, as not only did he fight the invaders, but also protected his own people, which Bhalla did not. [END OF FLASHBACK]
h. now, from the start of the movie, Sivagami, who is the grandmother of the baby shown, is seen taking the baby away from the palace, down the waterfall, with an arrow in her back. She sacrifices her own life to Lord Shiva, in return asking to spare the baby, named "Mahendra Bahubali".
i. Now you both got confused on how they recognised this Bahubali later, even though he was just a baby. The plot is that Mahendra Bahubali has a very similar face to his father Amarendra Bahubali.
j. The tribes find this baby, name him Shiva after Lord Shiva, he goes on to climb the waterfall (all very straightforward).
k. Shiva finds the camp of rebels who are trying to save "Devasena" (his mother and Amarendra Bahubali's wife) from imprisonment, and finds and "befriends" Avantika, who is a rebel.
l. He goes to the palace, rescues Devasena, is captured, fights his way out against "Bhadra" (Bhalaldev's son) and Katappa. He eventually kills Bhadra, and Katappa recognises his face similar to his father, thus understanding that he is the son of Bahubali. [FLASHBACK BEGINS]

1) Actually the first song chorus is written about 5000 years ago by the king of Sri Lanka "Ravana" as he was probly the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva so the song describe Lord Shiva.
2) Bahubali undresses and change Avantika's looks without her consent is because she don't even know her femininity and he wanted to show her that how beautiful she is. Though it's not very moral according to today's social reality but this movie is in history so we can ignore that for this movie I guess.
3) People know he is Mahendra Bahubali is because he looks just like his father Amrendra Bahubali. So when people see Shiva they think he is bahubali who is actually dead.
4) I wished u should have watched Hindi version instead. Hindi version is best after the original telugu one. I did not like this dubbed version at all, their voices is not suiting the actual characters. T_T.
This Malayalam dubbing is usually the worst dubbing out of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi , kannada because it usually has the least budget. Please don’t watch the sequel in this language.

I was thinking how could you not get it sooner that the bahubali from the beginning is mahendra bahubali who is son of amarendra bahubali the one katappa killed in last scene. And the woman in chain is his mother and wife of amarendra bahubali. And the Queen who died to save the child is actually aunt of amarendra bahubali but she raise him as her own child and she is the grandmother of mahendra bahubali. I hope you understood now.

So, that's why I'm in this movies their are 2 bahubalis. 1st is "amrender bahubali" and 2nd one is his son, whose name is" Mahender bahubali". The flashback was about the " amrender bahubali". The same thing will happen on Bahubali 2. Hope, you understand it
