Super Soft Sugar Cookie Recipe - Quick Tip Tuesday

- These easy sugar cookies are AMAZEBALLS. They are kinda like a sugar cookie and a biscuit had a baby. Super yum! They are also so crazy easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients already!
Here's the sugar cookie recipe:
Cookies:
6 1/2 cups flour
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
500mL of sour cream (one tub)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, eggs and sour cream until just combined.
3) Form dough, roll out and cut with your favorite shapes (1/4 of an in thick).
4) Bake for 10-12 minutes.
5) Let cookies cool.
Buttercream Icing:
2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
6) While your cookies cool. Cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. 7) Add confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Beat until fully incorporated.

I haven't seen bagged milk since I left Calgary years ago and moved back to Vancouver! That's something I don't miss. It was awkward to store, hard to pour, picked up fridge odours, and you could never get the hole in the corner of the bag just the right size! Loved her measuring though!
I’m Canadian and I’ve never seen a bag of milk in my life. I’m from the west though.
Start the mixer slowly, silly. LOL

Your video could have been shot at my house! I make a REAL MESS when I bake and I have had mishaps w pets (hermit crabs-one ended up in the laundry and dryer!!). Oh my gosh- you're so funny. I will try cookie recipe....my sister throws a COOKIE party and it's a disaster every year!!

My mom would make something similar to this, I was raised Mennonite and they are called Cream Cookies or Schmauntcoaki (Low German or Plattdeutsch). These cookies were always my favorite and my mom would top them off with homemade marshmallows and coconut...YUMMY!!

has ANYONE actually attempted this recipe? judging by the comments no one has. Sure, your infectious laugh is great but this recipe wasted A LOT of my time and money and did not resemble anything close to sugar cookies in the end
