    The 2009-2015 Pilot actually only came with a 5 speed automatic, however the generation after this one, 2016 and newer, does have the 6 and 9 speed auto transmissions.

    My family had had a Honda Pilot as a family hauler since 2005. We got a 2005 model, then got a 2012, then a 2014, then a 2016, now we have a 2019 that has 72k on the clock. We beat the living crap out of these cars, and lemme tell ya, they take it.

    I just bought a 2013 Pilot, one owner, and own a 2012 Accord... This Pilot is a beast. Low miles, clean as a pin for a ten year old vehicle, 113,000 miles, garage kept... Cheaper than a pick up, paid $13,000 for it and am incredibly happy! It drives like new, and other than a few scuffs and scratches on the paint, from 10 years of grocery stores, very happy! And yes, the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 90,000 miles, the CarFax on this vehicle is insane, every service, etc. $13,000! Yeah BABY!

      @@Max-qp3od A lot will depend on how well it was taken car of. If it has had regular services and so forth, could be a good deal. The timing belt is the main issue, $1200 is ball park to replace, unless you are able to do it yourself. I would head over to Piloteers forum and see what is going on over there. Lot's of good info.

    Missed a few things. For the third row, you used the wrong lever. The top lever is for folding them flat, and there is a side lever that folds them conventionally. You also missed the opening hatch window. Also, the floor cubby in the back can latch into the 3rd row to make more space when they are folded up.
    Edit: Also, this generation of Honda Pilot has the J35Z4

    I own an 06 Pilot EX-L with the navigation system along with cylinder deactivation and it has a nice soft ride to it. Not boring at all, it has great outward visibility and the OEM backup camera still functions. Regardless of which of generation these Pilots are from , they're all very well built to last a long time.

It was a 42 month lease and when it hit 36 months I did all the 36 month scheduled maintenance myself thinking we were going to keep it. We did many trips to Big Bear and Wrightwood during the winter and that Honda 4WD system was awesome!! Never had to chain up.

    Yes, we're still in the third gen Pilot, but this is a 2nd gen 2009-2015. And the 6 and 9 speed were only available in 2016+ models. This 2nd gen is probably not much bigger than the current passport, but the passport is just a 2019 pilot with 6" removed from the rear end. That 2019 pilot is significantly bigger than this one.

    If the suburbs were a car. The gauges are weirdly sporty for a family crossover appliance. The infotainment screen looks five years out of date and gives me some weird nostalgia for when carmakers first started putting color screens in but hadn't figured out how to make the UI look good.

    I like the look of the pre-facelift first gen the most, but it's pretty cramped for a three row midsized crossover, even in front. I've never been in a second gen, but I hope the space issue was fixed with the redesign.

  • @anonymousguy6928
    @anonymousguy6928 Год назад +2

    As someone who owns a 2015 Pilot, I can confidently say that the hood over the infotainment screen does absolutely nothing. I can never see my screen due to the glare caused by the glass/plastic shield in front of it. Maybe if they removed that then the hood would do a decent job, but that shield causes tons of glare. Also, you used the wrong latch to get back in third row. The latch on top of seat is just to fold it down. You need to use the latch on side of seat which allows the second row to be pushed forward so you can get back to third row.

I haven’t had any issues with it - It’s always a nice smooth ride. I just had to get new shocks because the old ones were leaking but I think that’s to be expected once you hit 100k miles haha. Just make sure you get one that was taken care of and serviced regularly and you shouldn’t have any problems 👍

    NOTE: THIS IS NOT A 2015!! This video is frought with errors....... Between 2009 and 2015 only 5-speed transmissions were installed an ALL Pilots, regardless of trim level, producing only 250 HP. The 2015 is a 3rd generation Pilot but in 2016 they moved on to the 4th generation. The 2015 is not all wheel drive. The 2015 centre controls are laid out differently than the ones in the video.... This could be a 2012 or 2013.... The 2015 EX-L has a rear entertainment system built into the roof for the 2nd row of seats. This one does not, therefore it is not a 2015. The rear tailgate is power opening and closing. This clown obviously did not do any research...
