FGH were so massive almost as soon as they entered the mainstream music arena. The number 1 and top 10 songs, the 12" remixes, the T-Shirts.... Their later work (which was still pretty good) never quite captured the magic of the 84-85 period. For a couple of years they really were beyond just being a band
Aside from the fame and the money: having made an impact in peoples lives - in this particular instance giving people a moment of exstacy on the dancefloor. That... is truly priceless.
I was looking on discogs to try and understand which version this is. "Track 1 segues three versions of Rage Hard, labelled +, ++ and * (5:12, 8:46 and 3:12 respectively). "
+HackneyShark Wow I never noticed the joke in the title. Gonna have to rethink all the songs now. Wonder if there are any hidden messages in Relax.... :)
@PEANTONG: Not really... There are 2 Mixes: The 1st Version of "Rage Hard" ends @ 5:14, followed by the "12"-Mix" (also known as "YPG-Mix"). (sorry for my bad English!)
Yes, this is + ++ * where + is "stamped" ++ is "young person's guide" and * is "broad" (edited about a bit, starts with the end, then jumps to the intro, then to second verse)
Rage Hard - Mitte der 80er im Berliner METROPOL - thanks to FGTH and To,Trevor, with ZTT - your Sond is still alive - love you Most ! Special the Percussionist an Bass :
12 inches of electronic production perfection. Trevor Horn masterclass
I think it was Steve Lipson that produced this track. Trevor didn't do any of the work on the Liverpool LP he just exec produced it.
really? RAGE HARD was one of the first generation CD's. To me it was thrilling, raging out of childhood;
@@berlinocelot Trevor only did first album

While all the others were part of the 80's, FGTH OWNED the 80's. This version is amazing.
So true.
This is my absolute favorit music record in my youth...I never forgott the pleasure of this amazing group...LOVE!!!
It is of course Frankie. And Frankie ONLY. The simple true.
My deepest thanks 4 this download!°
Love u all. The 80´s, the 80´s, the 80´s.
So amazing...
Like Tubular bells in 1973...
'And now, the funky guitar...'
HATE to admit that they had a tremendously solid sound!!!
One of my all-time-favourites!!!!
Greatest 80´s Mix from Outstanding Steve Lipson/Trevor Horn ;-)
The production on this joint is just outstanding,,

....one of plenty superb FHTH maxis !! Epic electronic rock of the 80ties...
Aside from the fame and the money: having made an impact in peoples lives - in this particular instance giving people a moment of exstacy on the dancefloor.
That... is truly priceless.
Bei Bekannten 1994 das erste mal gehört. Seit dem mein absoluter Favorit. Ich liebe es so sehr.
Wish todays kids could listen to songs like Rage hard still in the charts. So they would know how great music can be.
Same.
been looking for it for 30 years. Finally i found it. thanks.
one of the best mixes ever
still a class of it's own - I like it vy much
I still do whatever Frankie says.
3:15 and 20 seconds sound way better when he stops singing halfway through that part ❤
It makes me remember January 1987 vividly.

Trevor Horn... British Royalty...give the guy a VC! He rescued and enhanced
many a quality act !

Well said 👌👍 😃 !!
Great!It's m'y génération ! goodbless the New Wave !
In 56 years there'll be another 80's. I probably don't wanna know what that will be like...
Creativity and innovation has been bred out of the sheeple
I'll let you know how the future turns out. :0
Mannchild11 I'll cross my fingers, hope for the best and remain skeptical.
and as luck will have it, to be exact it will be 66 years 'til the next '80s
escaton74 Apparently the 1980's had a residual effect that somehow hampered my ability to perform simple math. Or maybe I'm just getting old...damn!
grandi FRANKIE!Bellissima versione, grazie per averla caricata!
SUPER
Vive le SON des années 80!!!!!
frankie is the captain! we are all follow!
Very good musicians in their day. People are only realizing this now.
The musicians are The Blockheads (of Ian dury fame) they were Trevor Horn's house band at ZTT
SuperFlyingzebras
Well I never knew that! So this track features no FGTH musicians? The Blockheads are fantastic musicians underrated in my opinion.
This is the track I was looking for!
Der Hammer !!! Frankie as it's best...
Sattlel42

Now we start the real rage by filiph hard
... FRANKIE ONLY ....
I prefer the bit with the woman to the main bit
I agree Holly Johnson was a singer & performer with unmatched elan & charisma He really gave two tribes something special anyway imo
