Yes I wish all men could have a voice like this and that all men could be artistic like him. Our world wouldn't be our world, it would just be a happy and utterly beautiful planet, like the heavens and paradise. ♡
it's so nice to see his voice sounds exactly the same as in the late 80's. He and Lisa truly are some of the most gifted singers/musicians of all time.
Magnificent. Perry is, happily, a non massive popular artist. Therefore he´s a real and rare treasure for few lucky people who really love music. Thanx Brendan.
My wife and I got to see Dead Can Dance when they did a show in Sydney back in 2013. I "called in sick" so we could fly up and see them, and it was absolutely worth it.
this is real music! nothing on the radio gives me goosebumps anymore...all the better because when you have to dig to find good music, it allows for much deeper appreciation of it.
My mother died last year. The part where the piano starts to scale, "I remember when you held my hand." Makes me feel nostalgia of being a child and my mum looking after me.
Man. This bring me back to my childhood. My parents used to hear Dead Can Dance ALL THE TIME. Very good memories. Love them. Thank you, Brendan and Lisa.
Outside The storm clouds gathering, Moved silently along the dusty boulevard. Where flowers turning crane their fragile necks So they can in turn Reach up and kiss the sky. They are driven by a strange desire Unseen by the human eye Someone is calling. I remember when you held my hand In the park we would play when the circus came to town. Look! Over here. Outside The circus gathering Moved silently along the rainswept boulevard. The procession moved on the shouting is over The fabulous freaks are leaving town. They are driven by a strange desire Unseen by the human eye. The carnival is over We sat and watched
...and You just stood there, saying nothing, your eyes gleaming from afar...full of tears. (Thanks to all of you with sir Brendan Perry. Breathtaking experience...) ❤
You know what... This song always gives me a bitter sweet feeling...I don't know if I can communicate this, but it just marks a milestone and it's the end of an era for me...Surely a personal thing, but somehow a gate closer/opener, I feel that way... You know sometimes one feels awkward on some days. Just like one feels that specific day is the end of spring or any other season....a passage to another period of time. So whenever I hear this, I just can't help myself but feel that way. It's a very very deep song. Thanks Brandon, for being in our lives and keeping alive the DCD.
A voice like this and Miss Gerrard are truly Angel's from heaven. I often wondered what voices sound like this Angel's. I had the wonderful fortune of witnessing this band and watching the blissful sounds. Thank you sharing your gifts. My love for Lisa has no boundary along with Brendan who is a gift that keeps giving. I feel like butter when I hear the wonders of the Dance.
Music is good when it arouses an emotion or a mood within you. it's not necessarily about being melodic, religious or overtly musical, but about carrying the listener somewhere where he was not before. In this case, I feel like sitting on a park bench by a warm evening. the wind gently caresses my face, and everything is silent except for the nature around me. It is interesting that I mention that it evokes the silence when I speak of this kind of music!
I'll never forget seeing the original video to this song on MTV back in the day. I was absolutely mesmerized, and hooked for life. Damn you, Dead Can Dance!!
This song tells a story, a mysterious and very nostalgic story. It touch me so deeply... I'm feeling so lucky to know Dead Can Dance, and being able to discover all this storys, ambiance, instruments. This is so rich and original... I rarely heard something like this. Thank you so much for everything
brenden perry and lisa gerrard from dead can dance are mortal and they are music of the spheres ..brenden is very scott walker on his solo vocal performance ..just lovely
I've loved this song ever since I 1st heard it over 25 years ago. At once beautiful, poetic and cinematic the lyrics are both moving and haunting bringing to mind a period of Americana lost forever. "Outside the circus gathering moves silently along the rain swept blvd....The procession moves on the shouting is over, the Fabulous Freaks are leaving town....They're driven by a strange desire, unseen by the human eye...Someone's calling". With an original arrangement that brings to my mind Maestro Ennio Morricone, I have never once heard this incredible song broadcast anywhere, how sad but not for Mr. Perry for his reward is this Master work, rather for those who've never been touched by words and music that can at once take them to a different time, a different place to see and feel things they've never known and maybe in the process break their heart. When I heard the first piano played notes of this version it brought tears to my eyes. For me, there is simply no doubt that one day, Brendan Perry will be welcomed personally and with open arms into the Pantheon by the True Greats who came before and will come after him.
I don't know how I have missed this for almost 6 years. This songs feeds my melancholy in the most beautiful and necessary way, and even if this performance is less than perfect, the emotional hit is completely intact.
Une pure merveille cette version🙏🙏🙏🙏💝jolie comme toute belle harmonie qui règne tout au fil de son ecoute🙏👍bravo et merci pour ce partage qui rejouit💖🥂
Anytime I hear this song it stops me dead in my tracks (no pun intended). But this version is so heartfelt and pure. I place my hand on my heart to take it all in.
I have seen him alive this saturday 13 09 2012 in moscow though i needed to go more than 1100 km but it was worth it .My dream came true. They were brilliant!
I've loved the song "A Poem by Yeats" by Agalloch for many years, mostly because of the vocal style that was unique to me. Finding DCD and Brendan Perry has been awesome.
I remember the first time I listened to this I said this "Is this Frank Sinatra combined with the Doors..???" And you know what it still sounds like that to me
Great radio station and YT channel. I just subscribed. I wouldn't be doing music if it wasn't for Brendan. Sad, only 27 thousand views. Should be 27 million.
His voice is like fine wine
Yes I wish all men could have a voice like this and that all men could be artistic like him. Our world wouldn't be our world, it would just be a happy and utterly beautiful planet, like the heavens and paradise. ♡

Lisa is fab but so is Liz Frazer..Just one day to hear both of these two together then I could smile forever
The voice doesn't age. Become better. Dead can Dance is the best band. I love them.
Magnificent. Perry is, happily, a non massive popular artist. Therefore he´s a real and rare treasure for few lucky people who really love music. Thanx Brendan.
My favorite Dead Cance Dance song. 😀😃😄😁
I wish i could see them perform once in my life. Beautiful.
My wife and I got to see Dead Can Dance when they did a show in Sydney back in 2013. I "called in sick" so we could fly up and see them, and it was absolutely worth it.
Easily one of the most beautiful and haunting melodies I've ever heard.
this is real music! nothing on the radio gives me goosebumps anymore...all the better because when you have to dig to find good music, it allows for much deeper appreciation of it.
His music is not of this world. ♡
terminator360tm exactly.
+terminator360tm i'll never refer to it as just "rap" again: from now on it's "bitch money rap." amazing phrase :)

This music moves me, it makes me cry...
😞 this song makes me cry......
Yeah me to I don't know why
@@davidkitterman5258 probably because their music....their voices leave a deep empty...
My mother died last year. The part where the piano starts to scale, "I remember when you held my hand." Makes me feel nostalgia of being a child and my mum looking after me.
There's something definitely magical about this song.
Man. This bring me back to my childhood. My parents used to hear Dead Can Dance ALL THE TIME. Very good memories. Love them. Thank you, Brendan and Lisa.

That would be sooo fucking awesome!!!!
woah.....mindblowing...

Genious!!!, his voice remembers me Frank Sinatra and his music is perfect, a quiet place makes me imagine...
it's true, new age Sinatra!

This is one of my fave DCD songs. Simply lovely!
