❤️ Why I got the transplant: because of traction alopecia caused by a braider at the age of approx 8-10 (multiple visits to that hairstylist getting thick, heavy braids); by another braider in Nigeria (heavy, long braids) in my 20s, wearing tight wig caps in my 30s & micro-needling my edges in my 30s.

Men AND women of African descent can rock a bald head as beautifully as they can a full head of hair. Our beautiful bone structure and ability to accentuate our God given features, like few other communities of people can, should be a true source of joy and thankfulness for us. 🙂
I think you're right, you know. When I had my hair shaved into a proper style/cut by barbers about 10 years ago, it looked GOOD. Yes, you are right! Thank you for the reminder and confidence boost- God knows our community needs it!!

If you get gold package does the doctor do the whole procedure ?

My doctor told me the same that my donor is healthy so she said 3000 and what’s very weird is our edges look the same
The number of grafts I got is what I'm unhappy about, and why I mention how I feel about it in my videos ☹️ as it wasn't what we agreed...

I don't know ow how my donor area will be when it grows out and when I straighten my hair. I have fine strands, so I'm unsure whether my hair will look on the thin side from the back of my head. That's what I'm worried about.

I don't remember them doing that, so I don't think so, but they administered PPP, so they must have done!
That’s crazy 4,000 that’s ridiculously too much, your hair doesn’t not look like it needs more than. 2500 I am sorry , i stayed in the same hotel you stayed at
sigh. What can I say/do. I just pray that it doesn't end up being too thick/unnatural and that it removes the need for me to ever get a second transplant, as a few women are saying they are considering getting a second. Lol- high five!

Would you still recommend this clinic? How was their English?
Yeah, I would. The technicians who actually do the transplant speak hardly any English so you really have to wait until the interpreter comes into your room to check on things to say whether you want something to be different, are happy/unhappy etc. It isn't ideal. The technicians just know basic works like pain, turn over etc.
@@TheWellnessAbbey thanks for your reply it seems like all the clinics in Turkey that I researched all had interpreters. I really like that everything was included in your package. Did you had to pay for all your meals at the hotel?
@@michelledee25 you're welcome!! Yes- it seems like they all follow the same model when it comes to their packages! Yes, I had to pay for lunch and dinner (breakfast was included in the package price).
for the payments how did you get turkey lira and did dr seda oleroglu do your procedure?
I didn't ask the name of the lady who drew my hairline. Then there were 2 ladies who did the removal and implantation of the grafts and a man who made the incisions, so a total of about 4 people who worked on me that day. I paid in US dollars. For spending money, I converted my money before travelling to Turkey.

She only did the drawing of my hairline- the medical team did my extraction 👍🏽
@@kevk4625 they've updated their packages since I did mine, but mine's equivalent to their gold one (it was also called their gold package in March, when I actually did mine).
Ok. That makes sense, I’m going in January and I’m signed up for the gold package. I know you were upset about the amount of grafts that were taken. But did you atleasr feel like the medical team doing the extraction was good and competent?
Bear in mind they were only speaking in Turkish the entire time but that being said they definitely seemed to know what they were doing and seemed very professional. I had no concerns whatsoever about their professionalism.
They were following Dr Sega's orders- at the start of the day she gave them instructions and a couple times during the day she came into my room to check with them how things were going. I definitely felt they were both very competent and professional.

Yes, I went alone as I was in Turkey a few months ago before that so felt comfortable. 👍🏽
