Been waiting for this video! Finally wore through my Diadora BS 2s. Went to NB 996v6 and worse those for awhile, until my knees started feeling weird. Tried Vapor 2 - had a weird bend in the toe box, returned. Jet Mach 3 I liked, but immediately brought back knee pain. Went tried and true again to the Torneo 2s and they fit the bill!
Awesome Zach, I bought a Diadora BS fly4 after watching your guide last year, and it was a great solution to eliminate pain on my knee and ankle. It wasn't able to consider Diadora shoes without your guide 😂😂 bc I never seen anyone try them on here. 🍻

Been wanting to try the NB CT Rally but they're not available in my country at the moment and they've been hard to get even with shipping forwarders
Hi Zach I have been suffering from 2 episodes of insertional Achilles tendonitis recently. Both after I played with asics ff3. However I don’t normally have any issue with my gel resolution 8. Is there any evidence on the shoe designs that might contribute to this? Thanks.

I love the new barricades but for some reason the insoles wear out for me waaay before the outsole. I haven't really found an exact replacement insole yet unfortunately
My measured shoe size is a women’s 4.5 2E & I have a high arch. I just got back into playing tennis again since high school (many years ago 😜)… I ordered the Nike Vapor 11 in women’s 5 and they were so tight on the ball of my foot. I just ordered the k Swiss Ultrashot 3 in size 5… I am pretty fast on the court (5’ 3” 110lbs) and do drag my toe when hitting… I also love cushion, so hoping those work out! Open to any suggestions/recs! Thanks for this great review ✅
If you’re wide in women’s you can always go with the men’s version and get a bit more width - also NB in their wide and double wide is the most friendly

These lists are invaluable, my current shoes where directly a result of my previous shoes wearing out and me picking up a recommendation from the previous year's list (even if it ended up being the best selling Gel Res 9) so I knew exactly the shoe I was getting was right for the job, even if living outside the US I don't get as many of these choices, the list is big enough that I'll find something well rated. On that note, are you sure about what you said at around @6:39 mark? ;)

I used to be a Barricade guy, but over the past year have switched to the Mizuno Wave Enforce Tours. Unfortunately, this issue still persists. I've tried sizing up, sizing down, and nothing seems to solve my problem. Any recommendations on what I can do to resolve this?

Hi Doctor Zach, First time shopping for tennis shoes. I'm a heavier player whose feet tend to run very hot. I don't see much crossover between breathable shoes and shoes for heavy players -- what would you suggest?
If you don't mind me putting my 2 cents in. Heavier players with a increased BMI tend to rely on durability and support rather than agility . Breathability tends to be more focused on lighter speed shoes were manuverability and agility is paramount and where there is more room to have nostly mesh . You could use thin socks and light colored shoes with thinner uppers to dissipate heat more quickly and repell radiation . When trying on shoes bring thin or compression socks . Running race socks like Nike have compression , arch support and traction built in . They also compress enough for added airflow and therefore repress blistering .

If you focused on outsole durability in this series of listing there would be no way that the lacoste lt23 ultra would be in almost every category . It is is def not a light weight shoe and def not a durable outsole which would be necc for all day use and other categories that you have listed .
A lot of places don't - they really need to focus on making their product easier to buy at bigger retailers or ill have a really hard time recommending them in the future

As someone who has had meniscectomy, I gotta say the lg-23 shoes are not recommended. They are fantastic otherwise, but very little cushioning.

My dad goes in betwen the torneo and the raptor and wears same size and has no real feelings of difference
