    To this day i use the break to mount my 32 inch unicycle. Thats all i used the break for when i started. Wish i saw this video earlier. Lots of helpful tips here!

      i thought about putting a brake on my 36r but never got around to it, its just rim brakes but I think it would make the descents a bit more comfortable.

    I've had a brake in two of my unis for years and never felt comfortable using them. This was the first time seeing useful information in how to use it!

      I'm glad I could help! That's why I started this project, so much Mountain Unicycling knowledge is scattered around and hard to find in forums and facebook groups, so I decided it's time to collect what I think are the most important bits in these videos.

    Hey Finn! thanks for the video. What is the handlebars you are using, they look comfortable! :)

      Mine is a diy version of flansberriums asym handles. Definitely the best I've tried so far for my style of riding.

    Never in my life did I ever anticipate the idea of mountain unicycling, I want to try this while juggling but I know damn well it will be my demise lmao

    • @unicyclebasics
      @unicyclebasics  Год назад +1

      Mountain unicycling while juggling would be hard, because seeing the obstacles in the way (and having one hand on the handle) is quite important. I'd personally just enjoy each activity separately, but if it's your idea of fun, go for it!

      Please don't juggle while unicycling. We have enough people say to us "oh look that's what clowns do!".

    Thank you very much Finn. It's difficult for me to let my hand for a long time on the brake. I try often but I learn too slow...

    • @unicyclebasics
      @unicyclebasics  Год назад

      You are welcome! Is your problem that the hand gets tired, or do you need it for balance?

    • @thierrydesailly9894
      @thierrydesailly9894 Год назад

      @@unicyclebasics I need it for my balance.

    • @unicyclebasics
      @unicyclebasics  Год назад

      Unfortunately, I really haven't come across a good tip for that problem, other than keeping on practicing - using your whole body instead of your arms for balance will become more natural with time

    Would you recommend using the dominant or non-dominant hand to hold the handle? I´m still learning to ride smoothly and I feel its easier with my non-dominant(left) hand because it feels more stable to «rodeo» with my right, but I’m worried because my right hand is probably more sensitive in terms of applying the right level of braking pressure

    • @unicyclebasics
      @unicyclebasics  Год назад +1

      Whatever feels better to you. I use my dominant hand, but plenty of other riders do the opposite and still have great brake control. (I find dominant/non dominant matters more for hand eye coordination things, which isn't too important for modulating the brake)

      What I did was try each. The hand/arm that seemed the smartest at keeping balance in the air got to do that; the other went to the handle. That selection method stood the test of time.

    Is this dangerous?😂😂i think im buying one

    • @unicyclebasics

      I don't think it is more dangerous than most other sports.
