Used for their ability to discharge more power relative to their size... but the disadvantages were far more. Fast degradation, lower density and capacity, slow charging and memory effect. - The dealer will always quote an exorbitant amount of money for repairs and maintenance. Also Toyshita requires you to regularly visit them and pay for "battery check ups"... or your warranty will be void. In reality they don't do anything to the vehicle. Hybrids offer absolutely NO real world advantages. Some start-stop city scenarios could result in slightly lower consumption... unless you have the AC on. Highway driving results in MORE fuel consumed. Toyota were sued for false advertising and up to 6 times higher fuel consumption. Also sued for falsifying documentation related to emissions, fuel consumption and noise... providing modified vehicles for safety tests and hiding documentation related to their hybrids for over a decade. You have to keep in mind that this energy does not come from the vacuum of space and has to be generated from somewhere - from fuel. You engine is a generator.

I do like use- full knowledge, just don't like people using a successful reviewers photo ,as a lure. and that's your problem.
