~ About the Show | Magriza Made Me Cook
Magriza is slang for uGogo (Grandmother in isiNdebele) and the name of the show is derived from Prince's inspiration for falling in love with cooking; his grandmother. The goal of MMMC is to document and serve Africa's diverse food culture, one dish at a time. We believe that Africa has got unique meals that ought to be talked about, and most importantly, cooked consistently. We believe in the values of Ubuntu, Respect, Creativity and Minimalism.

Hi @ magriza made me cook, I know it's common to hear people call Isihaqa a wild garlic in English. But the wild garlic is not Isihaqa but a part of the onion and garlic family (grass family). Isihaqa is a cassia abbreviata scientifically, in English it's a sjambok pod or a long tail cassia. If you look up Isihaqa as a wild garlic you won't find the right picture. You can only find it when you look up cassia abbreviata or sjambok pod or long tail cassia. I was calling it that for a long time until I really made it a point to find the right name for it, because deep down I knew it was not wild garlic. Thanks to some botanist from home I came to know - so I thought to share
