This was wonderful! Your daughter and mine sound so similar. She’s my second grader I moved to McGuffey with the Lesson Book and am planning on using SCM arithmetic book 2 with her as well. Now I’m considering throwing in Ray’s, too!
I’m a second generation homeschooler as well and it is so fun and such a blessing to pass on a rich and tailored education to my children (I have a 4 year old tagging along and picking up so much!)

Last year I used CLE K1 and K2 then went straight into their 1st grade math, reading and language arts.
With my next kindergartner I plan to stretch out K1 and K2 and pair it with Simply Charlotte Mason math level 1.
My current 6 year has done really well with the CLE money cup in math 1 so I think the SCM math will be a great addition to prepare for CLE 1.

My 3rd grader is such a workbook girl, but I love the idea of oral math too! I'm going to order the CM math to have on hand too for busy days or just for later in the day as something "fun" to do to fill the day before dinner. We usually have that space free but too hot to go outside, so I think that would be beautiful to get cozy on the couch and read that together. Thank you for sharing!

have you done math with confidence? is it like this too? we’re using Singapore now but there’s no manipulatives so it’s harder to grasp concepts. I’m thinking to add one of these types of math.

Thank you for the video! I'm debating bw this one and rod and staff math lol do you teach the concepts of "time" separately? And I noticed that the weight and measurement isn't introduced til book 3.
I am running into that right now. I am having to teach time separately. As well as just more practice adding numbers quickly, which is where I supplement with Ray’s arithmetic! ❤️

Thumbs down because the title states "flip through" and that is what brought me to the video. The quality of the flip through is poor. The book is far enough where the subtitles and text can hardly be seen. The camera often goes out of focus. The hand and fingers are obstructing view of the book. The table of contents was not shown. I am still seeking a flip through video for this book after viewing this one.
