Hi! I just found this channel! Do you think the muguffy spellers/readers would go well with the curriculum "learning language arts through literature" or would that be too much because it already includes spelling? This would be for 3rd grade.

I really love book 2! It also cames with flash cards that helps teach the child about each new concept. Book 2 in combination with explode the code has worked so well for my son. Better than AAR

Since you're using this with your 4yo, would you say it's a good preschool curriculum?

I really enjoy seeing how you interact with your children. I miss those busy days with my littles. My kids aren't grown or anything, but they are getting bigger, and they don't need me as much. I'm glad I at least get to have them home with me. It's always nice to see other moms who enjoy homeschooling and homemaking. It looked like a fun, productive day.

So true about the modern conveniences! I had that thought last week. I was without a fridge for two weeks and it was challenging at times. It reminded me to be thankful for all of it🤍

I would love to hear what you would recommend for 4th graders struggling with writing and sentence structure. Thank you for this. My kindergartner is struggling and I am so appreciative to see how this book works. We just ordered it and will start working on it when it comes in!

This is wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing. I will be using with my 5 year old, 6 in June, son. Do you think this could be used for multiple kids even if they do not have a speech impediment? I have an 8, 3.5 and 16m old. I’m thinking I could use with my two daughters also when they are 4. Or would you suggest buying a new book per child? Also, which McGuffy reader does book 1 pair with?

Did you end up finishing this? Do you still use?

Is it only for speech delayed children and struggling readers? I don’t have either but I would love this for my preschooler when he’s ready

Excellent video, math is such a struggle for us.

We’ve been using MFW for 2nd/Kindergarten (Adv in US history) and then our own choices for ELA/Math and we LOVE it! It is soo fun. There are recipes, science experiments, crafts, etc. I am a huge fan and can’t wait to continue using it as we are a family with (soon to be) 5 children so combining as much as possible is a huge blessing to us. The only courses I need to look for based on grade level are reading, ELA and math we’ve been going with CLE so it’s also very affordable!

I will try the dessert essence conditioner! I’ve used Shikai for years, which I get through Vitacost.

Hey! We use the exact same skincare! And I’m a homeschool mom too lol wow I do use the La Roche Posay melt in sunscreen spf 60 when out, and it’s such a beautiful glow. Seriously almost all the same products, my kids would flip seeing this lol.

I feel like this would pair really well with the mcguffery readers. My second child struggles with speech. I think this would be a great resource for her.

Hi! Thanks for this flip through! This was helpful. I was curious if the first book or second book teaches the other vowel sounds (more than just short)? My son knows the short vowel sounds, so I am not sure which level to get.

Love this! We actually use AAR and very much enjoy it for the most part. But I like my children to know the letter sounds and blending before we start as it just makes it less painful. I think I'll grab book one for my little guy!! Love the poems and picture study.

We have yet to tried this, we are doing a Happy Cheetah learn to read program, we have loved it but interested in this too!

I've looked at this before but forgot about it. I'm so glad you reminded me about it! I absolutely love the reading we are using now for my oldest (who has a tongue & lip tie and has a speech delay) created by a sweet homeschool mama, but i think he could benefit from using both and would enjoy the extra variety.

Dang it I’m so disappointed! lol. I purchased a curriculum for my son’s kindergarten. Well it was a little too early, so then I purchased something I thought would be a little more engaging when we started again (The Good and the Beautiful, which we like! But the preschool is a little repetitive and the kindergarten is too advanced for a five year old that hasn’t learned letter sounds yet). Anyway, then I saw a few videos on the McGuffey Readers (yours firstly, and then a few others), so most recently I purchased that and a really great companion notebook to go with it once we’re done with recognizing letter sounds. I’m disappointed, because this also looks amazing! I want them all lol. I love that this is like The McGuffey Readers, but together with the companion book and a bunch of other things all in one. I really love that she starts the phonics out with the letter order the way it is! So much better for getting the kids excited knowing there are almost immediately words that they can read. Currently at the beginning of The Good and The Beautiful and there is a lot of confusion between B and D. Easily fixed and more practical to start with other letters in my opinion. But it is a nice curriculum and I probably shouldn’t buy any more at this point 😂 Anyway, thanks for the review! I will probably buy this for my two younger kids to learn phonics with.

My young second grader has struggled to learn to read, but book two is going great for us. We easily get through 5-6 pages a day so it can go quickly or obviously as slow as you want. It’s the first curriculum that I’m confident we won’t have to drop✨✨✨🙏🏻🙏🏻

This was such a sweet curriculum for my youngest. The owner is such a sweetheart also! I had a question about the curriculum and called the company, which turned out to be her personally answering my questions. She was so helpful and really took the time to respond.

So exciting! I just bought this curriculum for my 6 yr old who is struggling to blend her sounds. I first saw it shared on @ashleymurphey4813 page!

Oh my gosh, I haven’t even watched this yet, but I’m so excited to later. I just started book 2 with my daughter and I plan to start book one for my son who is very speech delayed. I did not realize that this was a good curriculum for speech delay, so I’m really excited to watch this! Thank you.
