Exactly. All they had to do was stay in their homes. All the video guy had to do was keep working on his porch. Instead, they grabbed multiple firearms, jumped into TWO pick up trucks and decided to chase Ahmaud Arbery down. And, not ONE of the three thought "...maybe we should just stay put and call the police."

My white friends where saying, the convicts where protecting their neighberhood and started that argument. And than the judge came out with his verdict and told us about the part that he didn't saw any compassion for the victim afther the shooting. And that narrative shut them down real quik! lol...

She described how her client does not have blackened heart. I was like wth. Do you not see just how racist you look. The sentencing you should be cleaning up and looking humble, not showing your racist self. Instead she double's down and seals the fate.

I love your breakdown on this. I will never forget around the time Trayvon Martin was killed, I was expressing my feelings on Zimmerman's verdict to a "friend" (a non-black person of color) from high school , and they went OFF. Saying how Travyon "shouldn't have been wearing a hoodie" and that "black people are some of the most racist people she had ever met."
I was baffled that they agreed that his murder was justified and was able to say all of that comfortably and clearly to my face. And obviously we are no longer friends. Once I learn someone has that thought process, I can't help but see that as somewhat of a threat. It also shows the norm of how black people are vilified in the country and somehow it's "always our fault", even when unarmed.
Thank again for dropping these much needed gems.
