Blue Haired Girl answers like she wasn’t really listening and doesn’t really care about Pink Hair’s stupidity and waves her off with the somewhat sarcastic response “Huh, uh. Yeah, for sure.” being so used to the idiocy that she doesn’t even bother correcting her. It would be good character writing if anything else in this show pointed to the writers knowing what they were doing.
Remember how the team dubbing Ghost Stories didn’t have 100% coherent translations for the show, so the voice actors had to improvise a lot of bullshit into one hilarious disasterpiece? This feels like an attempt at recreating that same scenario, but it’s all part of the script and the VA’s were dragged into the recording studio against their wills
The dub team was told to do whatever they could to make it do well, with restrictions of keeping the names unchanged and the general method of banishing the ghosts (the dialogue for these sequences is fair game however, like with the rabbit).

I actually felt sorry for the dragon, since it lived an entire life within the span of minutes. That girl just wasted a life, what she just did was kill an extremely rare and powerful animal. In all honesty, I really miss the “generic dragon” designs. Nowadays everyone tries to create extremely weird dragons and they go as far as to make the dragon not even resemble a dragon at all. But the anatomy of the dragon in the show was fucked. They could have given it better body structure at least. Especially the wings, they give me physical pain.

I'm pretty the audio of this scene is just the dragon's VA accidentally leaving his mic on record after he had finished all of his lines. When he went to leave, the writers of the show had no more use of him and shot him in the fucking head.
My mother and I have watched DragonHeart, which is where the reference of the Dragon turning to stars comes from, time and time again, and even to this day in my opinion, it's one of the best dragon movies of all time. The ending to the first DragonHeart is just beautiful and made my childhood self marvel in awe and was one of the reasons I have such a love for dragons. This just looks like a poorly plotted out, rushed, incoherent mess of a soulless ripoff, and the fact they didn't even try to hide it or change it tells me how little they care for their characters. This reference should have never come to light, because it's an offense to the families of kids, now grown up, and parents sitting down at 6 P.M. marvelling and crying at the ending of a spectacular dragon movie in my honest opinion.

You know I feel this show would be beloved by many if they just said it was a parody
My mother and I have watched DragonHeart, which is where the reference of the Dragon turning to stars comes from, time and time again, and even to this day in my opinion, it's one of the best dragon movies of all time. The ending to the first DragonHeart is just beautiful and made my childhood self marvel in awe and was one of the reasons I have such a love for dragons.
This just looks like a poorly plotted out, rushed, incoherent mess of a soulless ripoff, and the fact they didn't even try to hide it or change it tells me how little they care for their characters. This reference should have never come to light, because it's an offense to the families of kids, now grown up, and parents sitting down at 6 P.M. marvelling and crying at the ending of a spectacular dragon movie in my honest opinion.

Why did they give the dragon a voice that sounds like it got brain damage from that landing
All I know is that he's voiced by the show's creator.

The titular dragon dragon died at the end and then became stars. But AT LEAST its majestic and much more sadder than...this scene...
I thought about that scene too. If you've seen Dragonheart I feel it's like a slap in the face. In the Dragonheart scene you might actually cry when you watch it.

Seriously, if you haven't seen Dragonheart I recommend it. It's so good. Draco having to try an earn his way back into dragon heaven after is moving and finding out that he's the last dragon. :( The relationship between Draco and Bowen that forms from a mere compromise into a bond of friendship is moving.
Imagine being a fly on the wall when they were storyboarding this scene.
