It's interesting how we all have our own ideas about a K build. I've 99 percent finished mine and I went along the m unit route. It's been a trying build but I've enjoyed every minute. I will enjoy watching your journey shaping your bike how you want it.
Thank you. The m-unit is a solid choice, I'm still in two minds whether to use it or not.
Nice work mate! Watching you make a seat base would be great. As would the wiring!
It’s coming together quite nicely! Would love to see some wiring and seat modification videos.
Looks aggressive! almost like an intake scoop. keep it up man
Cheers dude, it's funny you say that as I think they will probably catch the air whilst riding along so I should think about how to stop them flying off!
Hi bud, hope you have a gd holiday, just moment subscribed to your channel, don't worry Al be watching the rest of the build from the start, I think it would look nice with full halo head lamp just like the BMW cars have, plus were the BMW badge sitting on the side of the tank woul you consider have LEDs light up behind the badge, I think it might be a nice feature something different
Thanks mate, yeah I have seen some nice headlights with the halo effect.
Nice one its has nice lines already you can check "venhill powerhose" custom brake line lot of different finish and all banjo possible good and not too expensive
I've had venhill stuff before, really good quality for the money, I'll definitely be getting some in the near future.
Looks like its really coming come together nicely! Was going down the same path with mine and the pod filter but was sticking out too. The filters used on Harleys seem be a bit flatter which could be an option if you cant get MAF in far enough.
Thanks mate, I've looked at the Harley filters, they're definitely worth considering!
Beautiful K100 build , love from india
Goooooood job!!👌👍
10/10 SHOW THE WIRING
It would be nice to see the rewiring! I would keep that headlight, but it a little lower.? What are you going to do regarding the cooling overflow? Nice Job 👍🏾 I cant wait to see this bike ready, I’m starting my now, just got usd forks and going to put them on along with gsxr handlebars and controllers but never done it before. Thanks for posting your progress man!
Thanks dude, I'll definitely be covering the rewire as much as possible, it'll probably be split into a few episodes though. Regarding the coolant overflow, I'll sort out a small bottle to go somewhere.
Good luck with your build!
You went for really expensive options :-)
Great video! I'm very interested to see if there's any issues keeping the ECU in the airbox. As for the pod filter, have you considered if there might be problems with it being exposed to rain?
Thank you, what do you think the issues would be keeping the ecu in the airbox? With regards to the the pod filter and rain, I've not considered it, harleys have the same style set up and don't have an issue, but I am a fair weather rider so I don't intend to be out when it's raining lol
@@Eight20 I was following a guy on Instagram who was repurposing the airbox as an electronics housing but he abandoned the idea due to concerns about the heat from the engine block. I will message you his name if/when I remember it. I think I'll risk putting the battery in there myself. As for the pod filter in rain, I read some forums and it was very mixed results. You should be fine if your a Fairweather rider but here in Ireland it never stops raining so I might have to find a better solution 😅
Krummoto is the guy on Instagram, might be worth a look
@@Patrickodono I've been recommended by a few people to not put the battery in the airbox. The ECU is sat in the air filter housing so there is good airflow around it. Here in England it's drizzle most of the time, it never really comes down that hard so it should be ok.
@@Eight20 good to know! I'll do another bit of research just in case. I'm nervous of cooking the ECU.
What's that big box behind the MAF sensor / intake? Is it still needed?
If you can lose the airbox, you can mount the MAF on a swept-back 45-degree angle to the plenum, which will tuck that air filter in a bit.
That's the original air filter housing, ideally the air filter needs to be out of the way of the radiator otherwise just to help with getting a bit of cold air into the engine. But I'm also using the air box to house the ECU, horn and ignition barrel, so it's going to stay.
Did you remove the choke and did you have to rewire everything
I haven't removed the choke, it's just going to work slightly differently. But yes it will have a complete rewire.
