      He even won MMA match vs pretty established guy, which defeated current russian mma champ and sambo world champ and got completely manhandled by the Alexander.
      Once Alexander started to be annoyed and feel the pain of leg kick he just started to repeatedly throw the dude to the ground, he did not kick once, did not strike once in entier match and the mma dude had to be escorted from the fight, since he could not walk on his own anymore.
      Fucking hell, hes like a forklift of sports.

    The man’s record was 887-2. One of those losses was his swansong at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the gold medal match which he lost by one point because Rulon Gardner was simply too big to lift and they had literally changed the rules to make Karelin less dominant. Karelin incurred a single point penalty and that was how Gardner won. Prior to that, no one had even scored a single point against him for 6 YEARS.
    He won three Olympic gold medals, 9 World Championship gold medals, 12 Europeans Championship gold medals, 1 World Cup gold medal and a bunch of junior gold medals.
    It is no exaggeration to say the Karelin is probably the most dominant athlete of all time.

    The crazy thing is that dude was an elite wrestler, so that was 100% quick twitch muscle mass. Not bodybuilder muscle mass. You can’t even imagine how strong an elite wrestler with that much muscle is. He’d take a 300lb bodybuilder & throw him thru a wall like it was nothing.

    Seen Karelin in my hometown takin on Thomas Johansson.
    At the time Karelin weigh 125kg ripped and throwed Thomas around like a glove. It was insane to see. I think that was the only time Thomas scored one point against Karelin.

      Throw hay. Bales and bales of it. I'm only six foot and I'm what most would consider slim. But when I played college ball I kept up with or out lifted guys way bigger than me. It's farm work. Get an axe and cut down trees by hand, dig trenches, whatever. Lifting weights makes you big but it's labor what makes you strong. You do both and you get to do something really special, at least for awhile.

    I met Karelin at a nascent MMA event in the early 90s (before it was even called "MMA"). In a room with 300+ black belts I was pretty sure if he snapped he'd kill 20-30 of us before we took him down.

    I actually work near where Karelin lives, and I saw him multiple times in person. He is still huge, huge man. His fingers are like big sausages, his arms are probably bigger than my legs, and he is like over 1 meter wide in shoulders.

Gardner after his victory, he said he was very intimidated before their last match, because in their previous match, Karelin slamed him hard and his heels almost touched his neck!! In their last match Gardner kept a defensive behaviour throughout the bout that wouldn't be allowed today.
      Regardless, very classy very elite athletes the both of them.
