Lovely review. I’m on the fence between xs20 and xm5. Can you please share your experience whether xs20 is good for travelling? Is it heavy and the autofocus is reliable? Which one do you use much between LCD screen and evf?
Hi If you're on the vlog side while you're traveling. I believe the XS20 will be the best option for that purpose because it includes IBIS (stabilization), which is not available on the XM5. To be honest, I don't think the 15-45mm lens that comes with the XM5 combo is a nice lens because it's pretty flat. ( I used that lens before and already resell it) When I combined the XS20 with the 18-55mm lens, it was still manageable for me to carry around, thus I believe the XS20 is a good pick. ( You can check out my recent vlog in Saigon, I did bring that combo around the city to take photos) I want to try an XM5 as well, so all I know about it now is its specifications and small size, but I'll have to wait and see what it offers. But for now, I still keep the XS20 as my main vlogging camera. Hope this comment will help you in your decision making.
@ Wowww, that’s very insightful and detail. How about every use, would you still pick xs20 with you everywhere? It’s not that heavy right? Actually, i have pocket 3 for vlog. But looking for camera for footage video. Still thinking xm5 will be shaky when handheld or not.
@@Bunnie6944 Yeah, haha! I still pick up my XS20 every time I go out, and my friend says it isn't too heavy for her to manage too. If you buy from a reliable store, such as Henry, you are able to return it.
Hi Silvia, amazing color and tonality. Loved all of your content. Do you mind sharing your color grading process; any LUT you used or film simulations. Thank you 🙂
✌Hey @ashfaqueahmed1810, thank you for dropping a comment. I sincerely appreciate your participation. Most of the time, I use my custom simulation on an XS20 for the majority of the color grading process, and I make minor adjustments on Capcut during editing (such as adjusting the WB,saturation, highlights, and shadows to suit my needs better) . Matching color in Capcut with Fujifilm simulation while editing some wide-angle shots taken from DJI pocket and iPhone can be challenging, but I do my best to achieve a similar look. I color-grade some of my earlier vlogs with Davinci Resolve, and I must admit that it is a really time-consuming procedure that requires a lot of RAM and effort haha.🥲 But it is still worth it if you have time and have an efficient workflow. Oh and for the simulation, I share my recipe as Nostalgic Dream in the "Fujifilm X100VI beginners's guide " video; you can check it out and give it a try. 😁
@@Dear-Silvia hey! that’s awesome! and I really appreciate your effort that you put into these videos. Not every video and color grading catches attention and especially many cannot achieve the aesthetics of film making. I will definitely check out your film simulation. Thank you once again and please keep up these amazing works that you do. Cheers 🙂
Just watched your video comparison between Xt30ii vs XS20. Been torn between which one to get since there is a small sale between these cameras right now. From these clip can I ask you of you used IBIS on all the footage? And what is your personal opinion about which camera you are preferring regarding travel?
☺Hey, thank you for stopping by my videos. To be completely honest, I used footage shot by multiple devices (my iPhone 14 Pro, DJI Pocket 3, and Fujifilm XS20 camera) for this vlog. Though largely for handheld situations, I used the IBIS on all of the footage from the FUJIFILM XS20 (plus I also paired it with an 18-55mm stabilization lens). But, since DJI Pocket and the iPhone include a gimbal and AI stabilization, the footage will be at most stabilized if I plan to film any walking or moving scenes. In my honest opinion, the XT30ii is incredibly portable for travel, and you can enhance stability by using an OIS lens to pair with it, but bear in mind that it might only work with still handheld footage or tripod ( and don't forget to keep your breath steady while holding it lol🤣). You know it depends on your purpose for the outcomes. The Fujifilm XS20, in my opinion, will be a better fit if you want to use it for vlogging or capturing your faces while holding the camera a lot. I sincerely hope that this comment helps in your decision-making.🤗
@@MinhNauy Yes, I have the same feelings 😆. You can't go wrong with the flip screen; and the long-lasting battery makes it worthwhile even though it is a little larger in size.
@@laughingthrushmusic5269 Hey, it was quite hot in Vietnam, so I'd say 8-10 minutes if I shot outside on a sunny day. But I shot a variety of different angles, so I won't record for too long. Cutting a large file is rather painful throughout the editing process. So the heat issue does not concern me. Oh, and one tip I learned is that you may open the flip screen when recording. It can help to reduce heat buildup. Hope this help.

@@Dear-Silvia Thanks a lot for your indept answer. I think I landed on the XS20 because of the flip screen, and better IBIS :)

How long will your XS 20 record 4K 24P before overheating?
