The language spoken in the game is known as Romansh. It is a Romance language that is spoken in Switzerland with around 60,000 native speakers and is a descending language from Vulgar Latin, which was the spoken language of the Roman Empire.
Oooh that's amazing, after a few seconds of listening to it I could've sworn it felt like something I've heard before. I am Swiss and my grandfather comes from the region that language comes from, it's called Grisons. unfortunately he never taught it any of us. It's very beautiful there though, I recommend it for anyone coming here!
Small, or rather big tipp: the game communicates this for a very quick moment so it is easy to miss, but eating bread increases your maximum health and coffee increases your fear resistance permanently (which you still have to drink btw, it's in your inventory right now).
I’ve always wondered what a horror narrative in this sort of setting would be like, it’s really cool to see more developers breaking stylistic conventions like this!
@Falaxuper you never know what history hides behind a youtube comment. there is also a certain amount of mirtazepine and eszopiclone I have to take. I didn't say his content "makes" me fall asleep, it merely helps. Think about the structure of a sentence and what may hide behind before you cast judgment.
Gotta say, I love this game's take on the Devil archetype. It's a neat twist on such a classic concept, giving off classic Mephistopheles vibes while being new and unique enough not to feel cliche. It all-around makes for a very good villain of this nature.
for some reason this reminds me of my childhood for some reason, just hearing the church far off on a warm summer day in some fields or by the river near my grandma's house, or just a warm summer day at home hearing the church ring it's bells at 11am watching the jura on the opposite side of the lake, or being in the mountains near a town and hearing it's bells ring, it feels weird, but it feels nice, it brings memories of a time that's long gone, but that happen to be looked at with warmth
Bro please you have to play Everybody's gone to the rapture with how relaxing your videos are and how good and atmospheric that game is it's a match made in heaven
After you played Shiver, I started looking for games of this type and now I see this game as a new version of Point & Click games. The way you play is very enjoyable. Thanks.
ough ive been hoping youd play this game for like over a year now this is such a nice surprise, i knew this game would be totally up your alley and im excited to see how you react to the rest of it
I think he'd love Pathologic/2 for the atmosphere, without a doubt. The problem I foresee though is that Librarian likes to play things relatively blind, and if you want to progress... at all... in Pathologic/2, you kinda need to have futzed around and failed a bunch of times already, or consult a guide. They're fantastic games-as-art, but they're miserable games-as-experiences. Playing blind, anyway.
This is one of my favorite games! So unique in visuals and writing, if a bit frustrating in a few spots. It's also a really good, classical take on the Devil archetype.

Huh always nice to learn something new when I was watching the beginning I thought it was some sort of Scandinavian dialect.
Amazing...

@@cassioVee The Romansh language is spoken predominantly in the Swiss canton of the Grisons (Graubünden).
@@user-jm6hh7op3w yup I know, my grandfather comes from that region

Omg. I am so glad you are playing this. One of my personal comfort games. So creepy but relaxing at the same time.
I’m so happy you are playing this! It’s a fantastic horror game which I recommended a few times in your comments. Really looking forward to this.

I requested this more than a year ago, this is one of my favorite games ever and I can’t wait for this playthrough!!
Me too!
as someone with severe insomnia I sincerely thank you for continously providing content that helps me fall asleep
Doesn't sound like that severe if a RUclips video is all it takes. Either way, best of everything to you.

@@faeriesorceress That's why I said 'best of everything to you'.

This like being the main character in an Ingmar Bergman film.
The chapel and the priest gave off Winter Light vibes
I’m so happy you called the goat black philip

Please check out Return of the Obra Dinn when you can! If you dig Mundaun, you will really appreciate that one as well. Excited for this playthrough.

I have this intense feeling that you would enjoy a game like pathologic, specialy the second one since its basicly a remake with more built on

Always love games that go full "This is what it looks like".
Godbless I had requested this way back in 2023 and to see it played today makes me happy, enjoy 👏🏼
Yay! So glad you'll be playing this!
Apparently the language they speak is Romansh, or so i found at least, very interesting
A true Creepy and Comfy experience!
The visual style vaguely reminds me of Return of the Obra Dinn, which I can recommend you try for spooky mystery vibes
Awesome game, very unique and beautiful!
Nice, relaxing vacation you got there
32:46 Ah, yes, a Swiss sitzenpinkler.
I wonder if the black goat is some kind of protection/protection or maybe a watcher
