Maybe this is a dumb question but, do I need a MacBook or an iPad to log into my Apple developer account to update my push notification certificate? I'm guessing in order to access iOS you need an Apple device? This is all Greek to me 🤔.
You only need your developer account on any compatible browser regardless if Windows or Mac, you generate the CSR from your provider server. Check this documentation - developer.apple.com/documentation/usernotifications/setting_up_a_remote_notification_server/establishing_a_certificate-based_connection_to_apns

Good question. Generally the certificate and profiles are used for xcode development and creating new versions of the app for updates. You seem to be doing none of those.
sir, actually one react native ios app uploaded 2 years back, we decided to upgrade the app at that time they developed xcode 11 but now xcode 13 so i faced incompatable issues, i created new RN project(0.66) and copied all files from the old RNproject(0.59) and finally run app in ios device succefully, but now 1.how to replace live app with the new ipa , because its new react native project na, to replace what are required.(like bundle id same..etc) 2.The live app certificates are expired can i generate the new certificates for above newly upgraded RN project ipa and can i upload with same bundle id.

I enrolled apple developer program 3 weeks ago but still waiting for payment transaction for my card. No email response, no cancellation, anything. What's wrong with apple?
@@JustAnotherDangHowToChannel Not yet, but seems every transaction should be approved manually via support for last 2-3 months. There is a lot of same issues, probably something went wrong at apple.

You only need to the cert if you have to publish updates to your app.

Personally I don’t.. it is used primarily to get a new cert. i generate a new signing request when needed.
Do we need to replublish our app to appstore after these step?
no, you need this only when your certificate expires and you want to make updates to your app.

haven't tried generarting VoIP certs.. but on Windows you can use tools like ssh-keygen(comes with git) to create a CSR.

Apple distribution is more general and inclusive. Use that if distributing to MacOS, TvOS etc too.

How to enable automatic signing with the new certificate..
When you make a build, it would use the new certificate automatically.

On a windows machine, i would use openssl tool. It comes free when you install git for windows.
