Love the fact that he wasn't crying about the negative feedback. You have to take it all and learn something from it. That is exactly what it takes to develop properly. Hopefully he can rub off on some of the others over there. Thanks for doing this video. -Azrial

Thanks for doing this. It gives me some more hope that the game isn't going to stagnate in its current iteration.

If you want a bigger player base, don't cater only to the few still-active comp players. All of those people are already playing the game. And if that kind of play could pull a big audience, T:A wouldn't have fallen off like it did. The remaining LT-only crowd _aren't_ the people who, for a long time, formed the majority of the Tribes player-base. As the servers dried up, those people had to move on to other high-pop, base-destroying-plus-vehicles games like Planetside. But that doesn't mean they won't come running back if Tribes returns to its roots.
Look at all the reviews for T1&2. _None_ of them mention tightly balanced, small team CTF. They all really only talk about the big open maps, seamless outdoor-indoor gameplay, high player counts, customizable loadouts, vehicular combat, non-hitscan weapons, verticality (of course). Later reviews mention the mod scene for adding comprehensive base building, novel match types, creative weapons (Tribes is the first appearance of the grav gun that Half-life gets credit for). And yet most of that is missing from T3.

I really want to play this game, im hoping they can get the player count up. I dont fully trust that dev studio after they dropped the ball with their last game deadzone.

honestly man i'm just as worried as you are about the game, but it's $18, and I'm sure you can get hundreds of hours of enjoyment, even if it doesn't last forever. (i certainly hope it does fyi)

I don't think it's a projectile speed problem. It's a reload time/splash problem. It's my own personal opinion but I feel they reload too fast splash is nuts. If you go to the enemy side of the map as a heavy to clear or take out assets... if 2 or more players spawn behind you, you get super bullied in seconds.

Will t3 bring back more popular maps from the past like damnation. I feel that projectiles are still too fast. So often you get killed without knowing where the projectiles are coming from

Probably not. They have only 2 maps currently from older games, but have shown no interest of making this game more like the older ones.

Drizzle is a nice guy and all, but I hate to say it. This game was doomed to fail under two pretenses.
1: This game was tailored around Comp Play. No offense, but you CANNOT make this game around comp or aimed directly at comp. The majority of what made The Original Tribes games stand out so well is that they made the core casual gameplay fun as hell. There was so much to do. Limiting Loadouts, No vehicles, Horrid Base play, Very flat/linear maps, Weapons being too OP (spin fusors, chain guns, etc.) Getting Midair shots were nice...but the reason they meant so much is because you had to get good to get them. Now, its too easy, it makes them pointless. Also, the fact that there are bots you have to play against first, was just a horrible idea. If you are worried about people learning to skii, make them do the tutorials.
2: Bad interactions with the fan base. The fact that anyone who criticizes the game on the discord, is banned. Drizz said it himself. Feedback is Feedback. Good or bad. This community is extremely passionate about this game. There have been multiple times where people have stated what to change to make the game better, and they were either shot down, overlooked, or completely ignored. There are posts where people have called out things that are horrible and need to be fixed, but the Devs kept going in the direction they were going.
This is NOT Tribes 3...This is Tribes: Ascend 2. Everyone can see that and that is why this game is hemorrhaging players.
