My vote went once again to Team Pauline! I was shocked, SHOCKED to hear Rick don’t like a nice cuppa tea but then having read the scrolling banner it would seem he is quite picky at what chocolate he likes also. Pauline must have a mare of a time when at the shops trying to find a bar to spoil Rick with a treat! Is there anything Cadburys he likes 😂🤣
Hi Sam, I do occasionally drink tea but much prefer coffee. The scrolling banner was a list of the Cadburys chocolate I do like. Can't beat plain Dairy Milk though! All the best Rick

Yes never seen a coffee wagon I’m sure one has been done ,I’m drinking my Nescafé doing this comment 😂,but if history here in Hammersmith we had a massive Lyon’s made factory near Olympia until the early 80s,it’s been in the sweeney a few times and my nan worked there ,it’s now home to flats and three mirror class towers ,and in Mabre road was the Lyon’s juice factory I collected the post from there and Friday they would give the postman a few boxes of fruit juice that too is now yuppy central ,loving this posting All the best Mark 😊😊

i was given another flying scotsman for xmas but i allready have 2you can have it if you would like it its never been used only taken out of box to see it was working okay but my cat attacked the box when i was testing the loco. if you wat it send me your adress and i will post it to you.
One thing you've got to credit Airfix for, is that they where way ahead of there time, the fine couplings the good running quality, and the beautiful finish, even the packaging is a lovely graphic design. And it's the type graphic design I learned in school, no computers at the time, all done by hand. And to be honest the quality of graphic design made before you could just put anyone at a computer is in my view much better, because these where trained professionals, it's not just the end product but the hole psychology behind making a good design, a baggage a lot of so called designers miss today. Being good at a computer doesn't mean you're a good designer, it only means you know how to work with a tool called computer. A good design sticks into the mind of the consumer even if you take away the name you still know the producer, think of Coca Cola take away the tekst, only the line, and you still recognize it as Coca Cola. Shell for instance did this at a curtain moment in time, the left away the word only the pictogram and colors where left, nobody even noticed it as it was such a strong design. Interesting comments on graphic design. I think we live in an overly designed world. Graphic design gone manic. And modern printing processes allowing all manner of lurid colours screaming to catch our eye. It spills over into the railway world too as contemporary railway company house styles demonstrate. Model railway print media are also falling over themselves to attract our attention with flashy covers crammed with reverse panels, starbursts, sidebars and every graphic device known to man and woman. I used to work as a creative director in ad agencies and I would not approve the glaring overly busy page layouts we see today. If that's what you have to do to attract attention these days then I'm glad I'm retired.
