Just an update guys.I ordered the Katana throttle tube a few days ago and it arrived yesterday.I fitted it in about 10 minutes or so.Rode the bike to work and back today and there was a marked difference! The low rev response is smoother than the original throttle..This mod is worth it no question and it isn't expensive either.
Thanks for the guide. I tried it since it really didn't cost much compared to other solutions. I wouldn't say it eliminates the problem, but reduces the twitchiness of the throttle enough for me to postpone the ECU flash for the summer. Now to tackle the unpleasant suspension.
after watching your video and seeing how straight forward it was i bought a new katana tube from fowlers and fitted it. haven`t had chance to ride and try it yet, w`ell see.
Just want to say thank you just fitted the 2020 gsxs1000 throttle sleeve to my 2015 one and wow already feel a difference in lower rpm and speed and easy enough to fit cheers buddy 👍
You're welcome mate. Don't know how Suzuki felt that kind of throttle response was acceptable for the customer. Its as if they thrashed it round a track & never bothered trying to ride one through a town. 🤣
Longdog 67 massive difference, I was thinking about remap before trying this but now I just love it. all for under 20quid and 15minutes work. Everyone who has a problem with the throttle at low revs should do this. This is the first RUclips video I’ve come across with this mod so well done and thanks again!! 👍

I wont say it completely cures it, but it was certainly a massive improvement on mine. I found the stock one almost impossible to maintain a steady speed, this is a huge improvement.
@@davyvanbossuyt8197 I think 2019 onwards are supposed to have the new tube fitted from factory. Saying that, mine was bought new last year & it didn't. So I reckon an '18 would benefit.
@@mikenash4216 yea 57110-07L00 is the same and trottle become smoodh suzuki also send me replacement ecu some i chage on 100 miles and also install powercommander after new exhaust

I changed to the Katana throttle as you recommended and the difference is awesome! I would say it is 90% fixed and I am a curmudgeon!
Yep, fitted the Katana throttle tube a few years back and it helped smooth out the jerkiness quite a bit.

Yes.
So the clutch lever side tube is easier?
The clutch side has no tube. The rubber grip glues directly to the handle bar, but you don't need to change it unless its worn.

No. Just makes it smoother at small throttle openings. When at slow speed. The new throttle tube has an oval cam rather than a round cam.
