Love interviews like this. Just two of the most humble and down to earth blokes chatting about their passion. Easy to forget that these pair are a couple of the bravest people ever to get on two wheels.....

When you really think of the off-the-planet focus these two are capable of, particularly John, you just sit there thankful they even talk to us.

Guy Martin has the best personality in the world, and he isn't even trying to be cool. Love this guy!
These guys are such racers. You can feel how everything else apart from racing just doesn't matter to them. So nice and yet so competitive. It's kinda heart warming, isn't it? :D

That bike nearly robbed us of both of them. That bike wasn't ready to race.

Martin and McGuinness are the best. I can’t understand Guy half the time but what a great guy. Keeps his day job, isn’t impressed by fame and continually works his butt off and pushes the limits of his comfort zone.

What great atmosphere betwern these two teammates and competitors. Geniune nice people.
Guy is a follower and this is what he needs, John has rarely if never been beaten by his team mates and guy will see that as a challenge, once the bit is between his teeth then guy will give it all he has to break that challenge.
2 of the best riders of all time in the same team, i cant wait.
I laughed so hard... and I could only understand 1/10th of what both John and Guy were saying. :-D So much talent, so down to earth, such great sense of humor. Superb video.

I like them both. What a great set for team mates.
Never had any interest in Motorbikes until I came across Guy Martin, humble chap. I soon learned about JM and both seem like top blokes great team to put together.
You see the respect and fire burning in Martin. You see the feeling of accomplishment and hope in McGuinness.
They are both humble and amazing to meet in person.
Lets be real here for a moment though. I don't think anyone can doubt that McGuinness would be just as happy if Martin wins than he would be if he won again. Maybe even happier that he was able to focus Martin's natural talent enough to help a champion emerge.
I really hope I get to meet these two Gentleman sometime. I can't afford to go to the TT this year though. As a college student in the U.S. it's just not in the cards for awhile to come. I feel like I'm missing out on the world by not going.

krayzie_E soBreezy McGuiness was slowing down and went to downshift from 4th to 3rd and the bike went nuts and accelerated, so he wrecked at about 120mph. Broke 4 bones in his back (L1-4) and got a compound fracture in one of his legs.

Looking back at this...Honda should be ashamed for wrecking these two riders...they could have killed them both
Couldn't agree more! Programmable logic based controls should not be anywhere near a racing bike, it's just so unreliable. Has anyone ever come across a device which uses this technology ( phones, ipads, tablets, computers, sat navs, etc) which gives glitch-free service? I haven't. Just because it can work doesn't make it suitable for every situation, especially when someone's life depends on it.
Yup and leaving Mc Pint out to dry after the crash! Amazed that the bike made it through testing with shit ride by wire throttle and bag of neutrals gear box.
I agree, and as soon as they said there was an issue with the bike, Honda quickly got rid of them. Hopefully the Fireblade doesn’t kill any of the riders. That type of electronics have NO place on a race bike.

If Guy can't do it on this 2017 Honda, then I don't think he'll ever do it. To have John in the same paddock as him is surely the best inspiration and motivation he will ever need. I hope John has all the success and I wish both (and all) riders safe riding.

The TT is the standard in road racing. The top drivers in the world, but the sober reality that the ragged edge is so thin there. I'm always amazed.
