"Despite everything she loved her Ex?" Naw, she felt sorry cuz she got caught. Any forms of cheating is still cheating honey. Grow a pair and fix your 'holier than thou' attitude then maybe you can do something worthwhile with your life. Despicable
The only thing he could be blamed for is allowing his mother to spoil his daughter the way she did. But only light blame because he was going through a lot at the time of her birth and after. By the time he probably realized how bad it was behavior had been set grandma and Katie. Would have been hard to stop without cutting grandma off completely and he probably needed that support to raise her, stuck in a catch 22
@@ToriVandetta this was fathers fault 100%. He Is responsible for teaching his Kid how to behave. Grandparents Are always spoiling the children but that does not mean you let them do this. He should have acted years ago And put And end to this when She was still young. He failed and grandma maybe the one who taught this to his Daughter but it Is still his responsibility
@adambenes3728 Okay, but the way I see it is that when he was alone, did anyone console or help the father after his first wife passed away? People act differently when they're grieving. Example, when my step father passed away he left 2 sons that went from good Boys to lazy and always angry. No amount of parenting and therapy worked and he's been gone for almost 7 years now. I'm going off of what I've been through even to this day so sorry if I didn't see it your way... Edit: They also treat the guy my mother remarried horribly since they're not his biological father... and my mother is jamaican so no amount of talking, punishments or taking their games worked. People tend to suck in negative energy more than positive ones and the grandmother enabling the daughters behavior every time won't help the father one bit
sounds like the easiest phone call of all time with every relative who calls. "she already has papers drawn up, sign over 50% of your home to her and let her move in with you. *CLICK*"
Nah the father definitely failed his daughter. If the grandmother had so much control and influence over the daughter it means he wasn't around as often as he should have been
She wasn’t randomly kicked out and if she was so worried about not having time to find accommodations she could have had the lawyer write something up more akin to a lease agreement. If there needed to be an actual rent along with the lease then it could have been $1 or something relatively insignificant.
Story 1: You know how shit of child you gotta be for your own father not only have to disown you for his own peace, but to tell you to your face you're late mother would've chose to stay dead if she saw how she'd turned out like this?? And instead of that being a wake-up call, she doubled down and stuck her entitlement with Grandma STILL enabling her in it after she, too, was called out for making her into that. It's no wonder she 'didn't see' how emotional cheating is still cheating. It matters what SHE wants and was gonna get physical eventually, and her ex knew it.
I would have said to everyone in the family if you sign 50% of everything you own over to me and my SO I will do what Katie wants if not there's the door.
She doesn't want tenancy rights. She wants the house. 50 percent ownership would give her the right to kick OP out. She thinks her Dad paid for the house.
i feel alot of this family turns against us storys could be solved with ONE puplic statement or with a copy and paste response per chat app to explain what happend
Takes a special kind of entitled to abuse your stepmother for years, demand half of her home (after you cheat on your husband) then get the entire family to hound them for not giving into your entitled demands. I do admit Op’s husband PROBABLY spoiled her too much, but still.
lol Fifty percent ownership over the house so she couldn’t be kicked out? Was she insane actually check she is insane Katie was both manipulative and insane you just know had they signed it she would’ve made their lives horrible particularly stepmom in an effort to drive her out of the house or set her up to look like a cheater
26 years old, is she kidding us demanding 50% of your home? She better move in with her grandmother or get her own place, NO WAY could she move in my home with a 6 yr old attitude telling ME how things are going to be!
What pisses me off is that I have a cousin who has the same name as the OP's stepdaughter but about 2 years older. Unlike the stepdaughter, my cousin is amazing person, and never acted like that before. Also for those who are wondering, I'm 14 and she'll be 28.
Just keep in mind that a lot of times the posters change the name of the people in their story. Names are just an identifier. It's a nice thing that you have a cousin that is a good person.

OP's husband didn't fail his daughter, it's his daughter who failed him.
His mom helped in that

This is exactly what happens when you do not say NO to your children
To be fair, it wasn't all the dad's fault. It was mostly the grandmother who did this to his daughter
Spoken like someone who was never a parent

Of course she jealous and angry about the dog - it more reasonable grateful considerate polite child to the OP and the father than she ever was....
And this one in particular has a funny name
Bob is a good boi.
💯👍🏿

The grandmother corrupted her grandchild into a narcissistic version of herself, Ops husband didn’t fail her, the daughter failed him.
Nah the father definitely failed his daughter. If the grandmother had so much control and influence over the daughter it means he wasn't around as often as he should have been
She is right where she belongs, with GRANDMOTHER! If the grandmother owns her home, we can safely assumed the house will be willed to granddaughter!
❤

"Ill let Katie know you're willing to give her 50% of your house. Shell be so happy you are letting her move in!" Repeat until everyone shuts up.

I smell a shit father, she was raised by him. It's his fault how she turned out

BROOOOOO the way he roasted her 😂

16:36 OOF. DO YOU NEED AN ICEPACK WITH THAT
OP only needs to say these four words to anyone complaining about not taking the daughter in and enabling her:
"THEN YOU DO IT!!!"
💯👍🏿
Everyone in that story was just a little too cool about the daughter trying to trick them into signing half ownership of the house over to her.
Like does OP’s step daughter realise that she would get tenancy rights just by staying at her father’s house?
She doesn't want tenancy rights. She wants the house. 50 percent ownership would give her the right to kick OP out. She thinks her Dad paid for the house.

WOW, the gaslighting from narcissists is astounding
So she can work from home but can't stay at her grandma's place because the commute was long??
Sounds like dad was a bit distracted and distant tbh, should have tried to be the main caregiver
She is a child alright, mentally.
NTA. Obviously.
Katie is the definition of a beach

Bob is cool
That comment was hard 💀😂
The "family" can give Katie their house! I mean they are family after all, they shouldn't be so selfish!
People who were calling op and her husband to take the daughter back should give there 50%of house to the daughter and take her to love with them
Dude she's 26 not a child wtf
Look, Katie sucked it like... how do you boohoo about your daughter not telling you she was getting married after *you* went no contact?
geniunely don’t understand why people marry into families that obviously hate them. like. of course your life isn’t going to be good with them.
