Do you think we got our list right?🚴
The Yates brothers in stage 1 of TDF was a standout for me 👏🏻
It was a fantastic moment! How do you think the Yates brothers will do this season?
IMO Matej Mahoric's post-race interview should have been top 3. Hands down.
Thanks for a fantastic covered of all the races in the last couple years, GCN crews👍🤩 You will be miss and I hope to see you guys again soon.
Rest In Peace, Gino and all those many riders whom lost their life on the road😢🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
Seeing the deeply human side of most in the peloton has been my favourite moment.
The top three in my mind were (in no order), Allison Jackson hard won victory, Matej Mohorič's interview, and Sepp Kuss' chugging champagne after stage 6.
Some great moments! What do you think will be the standout race for 2024?
@@gcnracing I love watching Paris-Roubaix Femmes and men's edition. I'm also a sucker for The Giro (both) and Tour de Suisse (both). But I have to admit, it'll be fun to follow Le Tour's GC battle, and each sprint stage if Cavendish is close to the front.
Wow it was tears for me all around, what a year in Cycling this 2023. RIP Gino! 🖤
2:05 STILL makes me cry! Ugh, i just love this interview because he finally said all the things that i feel!! We think they are robots that can just DO, but no, he explain it so well!! "I just feel like, so many things right now".
Gino Mader... classy move to mention and remember. Well done, Dan.
WOW!! What a year it has been. Thank you to all of the fantastic GCN/Eurosport commentators and staff for bringing all of the excitement to us.
Gerraint leading out Cav... what a legend thing to do. Bravo.
Thanks for all the amazing heart and soul you and the whole GCN crew put in 2023. Have a great one
That was a good one. There were tons of good moments this season. 2023 was a good year for cycling
Brilliant recap of the year thanks Dan! Bang on with all you points! Another loss of the year is our GCN+..... 💔💔💔 I'm gutted for you the most Dad as I'm sure it was you+ your teams baby.... taken away by big knobs above you 😢
Brilliant video. So glad you included number 10, and the post Script. Thanks Dan - what a class act. 😢
That time trial by vingegaard goes down in history.
Thanks GCN for great coverage and a superb list
You always do a great job recounting the week's events, Dan. This tribute and the words you selected to describe an amazing year of cycling and the inspiring competitors within, are magnificent. Chapeau, Mr. Lloyd.
Gcn on Xmas day! Awesome.
Thank you! ❤
We really appreciate your work 👍
Thank you GCN for another great year. Wishing a Merry Christmas to everyone.
Super glad to see Alison Jackson's win at Paris Roubaix Femmes at 4! That was amazing to watch her win it after being with the breakaway group that day.
What a year! Excellent coverage! Merry Christmas to you and GCN.
#rideforGino 💓
Thank you Dan and crew.....good on ya !
Just imagine if G led out Cav for the win wearing pink.
I would not have been surprised one bit.
Throwback to Wiggins leading him out in Yellow, sur les champs-d'elysée
Kopecky‘s victory in Glasgow is one of my highlights
Vingegaard time trail, out of this world
Great Video Fully Agree! Gotta mention MVDP Paris Roubaix Win though, iconic
Pogacar's final stage win of the Tour should be in, the raw emotion of his celebration just gave absolute chills
No. Insignificant stage win. It's not even in the top 50.
@@HolgerDanske874 you're wrong. It was one of the most memorable moments of the year, for all the narratives around the race and their battle that now extends into 2024.
@@adamdickinson2894 Maybe for you, for everyone else the Tour de France was already over. Vingegaard had won the tour at that time, which makes it just another stage win like all other GT stage wins. Everyone already forgot it until you mentioned it here.
@@HolgerDanske874 'everyone' so you've asked every single other cycling fan in the world and they all agree with your opinion? Or is just your opinion that you can't actually back up so you manufacture a consensus in place if that?
Vingegaard is a beast
Mads Pedersen, winning in Hamburg the day after winning Tour of Denmark, by the longest sprint in recorded history haha :)
Loving that sweater!
came here to see Demi Vollering chased by the horse in Strade Bianche!!
Sad to see Kopecky's incredible year didn't get included in this summary.
MVDP for Flanders, Olympics and LBL ❤️
#1: Seppy downing an entire magnum on the Vuelta podium
I remember the days of Gewiss dominance, hope Jumbo don't turn out the same.
MVDPs World Champion Win made me cry for 30 minutes.
You missed out Ollie's sub nineteen 10 mile TT!
I would have included Kopecky's year which include both grand tour and classics wins and several rainbow jerseys
But great top video of course, thanks ! what a year for cycling fans !
I still struggle to believe the stage 16 win.
Thibault ❤
Pogi dropping Jonas on Cauterets the day after being dropped had all of us super excited about a great battle that it the end didn't deliver
Are GMBN going to do similar for the MTB season?
Just like SPINAL TAP......
"IT GOES TO ELEVEN."
🇦🇺🤔😆😆🤙🙏🙏🙏
Giro was way better than the tour this year, dunno what geraint is on about on his pod, I cba to really watch the last week of the tour
Lotte Kopecky wining 3 world titles, in two different disciplines, should have been in this list!
MVDP?
I think #1 was Tadej beating MVDP in a monument. Everything else is really just 2nd place.
Im dead - is MIA
GCN+ you will be missed
Who made this list? Somebody from england? lol
Rip Gino
no mathieu van der poel ???
I feel like taking the GC results of all 3 GTs and mashing them all into a single point is a bit of a stretch.
Tadej crashing out in L-B-L, thus denying the showdown with Remco... truly disappointing... but hoping the 2024 TdF will have fireworks between these two.
You have a typo in your chapter titles. The correct version is Sepp Kuss “Wins” La Vuelta.
I believe Cavendish will be 1 at Tour de France stage 2024 🇲🇫🇬🇧🇰🇿
What the HECK!!!? Your parent company shut down the GCN app!! 👀😕😕😕 I used it to listen to races in several languages and casting it in my big screen or to watch from my phone while vacationing (on bike tour)…Now I would be tied to a primitive and non-mobile computer screen…..HOW is THAT progress???
Putting Sep Kuss at 5 is ridiculous! Was by far the biggest upset of the year.
jonas is nr 1
💯
Unfortunately GCN hate him because he annihilates Pogacar time and again
yea cause road cycling is just all about tdf :DDD "real" fans@@flz00
Unmissable? All.of these moments are now missing since the app is canceled 😂
Missing I'm fucked, I'm dead from pogi
Do we really think that Vingegaard ITT was clean?
Do you think Evenepoel, Van der Poel, Van Aert, Pogacar, Yates etc. are clean? There is your answer.
Of course it was, Jumbo previewed the course and remembered to drink 120g of carbs per hour which no other teams thought to do
Nr 2 is the main reason i stopped watching the tour
Not sure number 8 was genuine - looked more like a "gift"
What?
It was a gift from Thomas. Not from the other sprinters. No one crashes when it's a gift.
Getting a good leadout is a freat gift, but you still have 5 to 10 other sprinrers there that also want to win.
At 7:38
don't say "swings both ways."
In american (west coast) slang, that meant being bi-sexual.
so, nothing about the best cycling nation in the world...
Not really my choices for top moments except for the Tadej classic streak. I mean you kind of missed MVDPs 1st 2nd 1st in monuments along with a world championship Jersey and Phillipsens phenomenal season (most wins out of everyone). Yes Jumbo did win 3 grand tours which was historical, but who really enjoyed watching the tours (looking at you Vuelta).
Vingegaards Timetrial in the tour is still questionable to this day.
Matej Mohoric interview... give me a fooking break... it's nauseating to watch grown men cry like babies over riding a bike. People have real things to cry about.
Tell him that to his face a month after losing his FRIEND and colleague. Also i'd like to see you talk at all after 18 days of hard sports.
@@nielsleenknegt5839 I assume you are 12 years old... so I won't rip into your nonsense.
Do not care about the woman cycling at all
Who gives a flying fuck about Pinot
The tens of thousands of people who turned up to see him on the Tour's final mountain stage and then at Lombardia.
Quite a lot, I'd say.
@@johnwestwell2241 he won so little though. To have him higher than the first ever treble season is so bizarre. A worlds first, versus a belligerent man who couldn’t descend or time trial and honestly not even that good at climbing and had the tactical nous of a junior. Lucky yes. Good? Only a Little. I I have no idea why people care about him.
Guys like Tim Declerk and Dries Devenyns, barely won any races in their careers, but localy they are hero's. Pinot was more like a top rider, and had more fans and hardcore fans, so they turned up for a final goodbye. Sport brings emotions, and that's what its all about. So who cares who gives a f***, anyone that does has a good reason for it.
@@nielsleenknegt5839 except Tim declerq is a Fucking legend
epic. thanks!
