    Reggie was right Biggies album did get more promotion and was more radio friendly than Me Against The World. But how 2pac gonna make Dear Mama for his mom and his mom dies on Mothers Day..That's crazy. Dear Mama still getting played to this day every Mothers day 🙏

      Tupac's music was not radio friendly like Biggie's was. PAC had a few radio songs but most of his stuff u couldn't play on the radio. That was always one of the things i heard people say why Biggie music was better because it could be played on the radio.

    "Me Against the World" was my introduction to Tupac. The rest is history. I was stationed in Korea when Biggie's 1st album came out. That cassette stayed in the tape deck. LOL! It was a great year for music. Usher's 1st album, Black Street hit in that time frame too. 94/95

    Bad boy did they thing on the biggie album but in order to get that radio play, they had to make a million remixes and collabs. Pac was on vacation and the album hit #1 with no promotion or radio edits.

    Hell no!!! Go look at the stats at the time those albums dropped. MATW was at the top of the charts. Biggie had to do quite a few remixes to build some steam behind RTD.

      Most of Ready to Die is in the same vibe as Thug Life Vol 1 and Me Against the World. It was too real and hardcore for the radio so Puffy got to work and watered it down, remixing “One More Chance” and pushing the “fun loving/positive” songs like “Big Poppa” and “Juicy” as opposed to the songs that really epitomized Biggie and where he came from, aka “Machine Gun Funk,” “Things Done Changed” and “Everyday Struggle”

    Me against the world was actually released in 95 while pac was locked up.....Ready to die was damn near 2 years old and the one more chance remix (released after) and the junior mafia album so yeah biggie did have a big buzz . but as for an album released in the year of 1995 Me against the world was huge

    Cause biggie music is pop. Bad boy music is more pop then anything. So they get more radio play. PAC was locked up, unable to promote his album, he isn’t even in the music videos and it still did that well. Biggie was all hype. Inflated by the media creating a east coast west coast war. Everyone wanted to hear if he would respond back with a Diss song. Even more so after his death. Pac soul still around and influencing the younger generations. Biggie is just a memory that is tied in with pacs death. Nothing more…. Nothing less..

    i personally like me against the world more than ready to die but im fairly certain ready to die did better commercially. That doesnt make it the better album but i think critical consensus is fairly even between the 2, so you can def make an argument that means the commercial performance of Biggie gives him the better album/year. Then again, Ready to die was actually released in 1994 so one can argue that it wasn't actually 1995 either. Of course Biggie prob had more prolific features and B-side type records in 1995 since Pac spent most of the year in jail.

      That's a great point...ready to die was late 94 MATW early 95 but big was the biggest rapper in 95 and ofcourse pac spent most of 95 in jail
      Funny how even thou big didnt released a album in 95 songs like one more chance remix, who shot ya, and songs like get money and players anthem were some of the biggest songs of the year (I believe he also had a song with Michael Jackson that got alot of radio play that year too)

I think a lot of really hardcore Pac/Death Row fans may have some negative emotions toward him cuz of their feud and their feeling that he didnt do right by Pac etc I try to just deal with the music side of things since i didnt know either of them personally. Quite honestly, I've always felt Big was a little overrated even though still a great GREAT artist just not in the convo for GOAT with Pac, Nas, even Jay Z but just thats JUST my opinion. I realize that if we are trying to take the discussion into a more "objective" realm, then critics/accolades, can def paint him possibly even THE GREATEST.

      Biggie album Dominated Streets, Radio and Clubs...His album was more impact full especially being his First album..Pac album went 1 because it outsold the albums that came out that week, that's all..Me Against the World went Double Platinum at that Time. The Chronic 4 million, Doggystyle 3 million, Ready to Die 2 5 million back then all First albums, that was Pac 4th Album...Dear Ma Ma alone Boosted his sales...

    Reggie is right about the airplay.. Pac had the number one album IN THE COUNTRY (bearing in mind thats ALL genres in 95/96, an incarcerated BLACK HIP HOP ARTIST IS NUMBER ONE 😎). And inspite of ALL those facts, BIGGIE'S 'R2D' album was getting WAY MUCH MORE AIRPLAY on the radio than Pacs 'MATW' was... its actually quite sad when u come to think about it.. its like, was it political?     Me Against The World was a much better album than Ready To Die. I think 2Pac had more radio play than Biggie. Dear Mama, So Many Tears, Me Against The World, and Temptations we’re the singles being played 1995. Biggie it was One More Chance, Big Papa, Warning, Unbelievable, and Juicy from Ready To Die. 2Pac Me Against is a classic album. Easily I can say it’s a much better album. I hope one day Reggie bumps Me Against The World and sees what we have been saying about that album.

    No doubt Biggie owned 1995. One More Chance remix, Juicy, and Big Poppa killed it. Dear Momma, Temptations, and Shed So Many Tears collectively didn’t quite match the radio play. Although I do believe both albums were 2x-3x platinum by end of 1995 and Pac was in jail most of 1995. Great feat for Pac & Big.

      Cos the biggie tunes was playing in the clubs and commercial radio for the masses, mostly about drug deals,and parties ect pac fans were buying his music as a bible to listen to him on a persona level as it was the depth and substance of pacs work that made more people buy his music
