I'm 71 yo and I got 7 scam calls last week alone and that's about average. Every, every single one had an Indian or Pakastani accent and I hang up immediately. I love watching these vids and hope you continue. Thanks for sharing.

Since not many Americans speak Hindi, they're not not concerned an American would understand what's being said. Of course, it SHOULD be a giveaway that the caller ISN'T from Microsoft or any other American company, but I doubt their targets, which are usually elderly folks, would pick up on that.

We have CRA scams in Canada, and for some reason they call me fairly regularly. I like to try keeping them busy for as long as possible. My current record is 45 minutes. The best part is that they usually call while I'm at work, and my coworkers get a good laugh. Their favourite was when I had to spell out John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt.

I have been working at a big indian company here in the USA (not scamming lol), 99.8% of employees were from India or Pakistan. Interesting thing that most all Indians have changed their names for American names. I always wonder why.

I work for a banks fraud department and we deal with these cases all the time. Always wished I could do more. You are great man keep doing this!
Ive always wondered what happens in a situation like this.. What exactly happens when someone is scammed like this and when they find out and contact you, what is it you do for them, if anything can be done
I wish he would work with some of the good hacking groups to get some payback. Trace the thieves, and give them headaches.
Also companies like MS need to stop out sourcing. Everytime I called MS I had genuine nice people and appreciated me being nice, but was hard to hear them... Only friends will remote access my PC.
Remember to hang up and call directly after researching the real number of X issue.
I use to grab the phone as a teen and would try my best movie quotes, and berate them for not knowing the movie. I remember one day we had like 100 spam calls back in the 90s. It was infuriating.

When he said "I'm you're Daddy" I lost it
I'm in Canada. I won't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number but I did get a pop up "Microsoft" message to call and I admit it freaked me out. I ignored the warnings and took the laptop to a legit computer repair establishment and had it scanned. All good and $50 bought peace of mind. I just found you and looooooovvvvve what you are doing!!! The world needs an army of anti-scammers like you to protect vulnerable people. I am considering membership. I do think that the phone companies should be held responsible? I get calls from cell numbers that have been hacked. Why is that possible? Call them back and number not available?

I can’t speak for Pierogi but I know the FBI and NSA have a difficult time finding hackers to employ because so many of them use drugs.
They’re loosening they rules against cannabis a bit but a lot of hackers are in to the party scene and like to “experiment.”

Sad thing is they target the elderly. I've moved back home and tell my elderly dad to never pick up the landline as it's always a scam call but he still does. So many elderly people are lonely and just want to talk to someone and that makes them the target.
Hard for me not to answer as every call is potential work (as I work full time ) and some new clients are almost incoherent and plenty Indian given where I live in London, but I can usually tell within a few seconds and never give them any time to say much.
Actually they target anyone gullible to be scammed .

Shegum246 :: the next time you are at your parents home locate their phone and disable the ringer. I say this in hopes that they have cell phones. If they do not have cell phones there are scores of cell phone companies out there with very easy use phones for elderly people who are not in any way techno savvy. Get one or two and educate them.

My Mom was in the same situation, 6 years ago I moved in to take care of her. I took up answering the phone and figured these guys out on the first call. I baited them giving false information, enticing their eventual wraith. The curse flame war begins and only ends when they hang up. After a few weeks the call frequency dropped from 1 or 2 a day to 0. Great fun.

One of my daughters got a phone call from a scammer supposed to be from Virgin, my daughter knew it was a scam as the female could not give my daughter her account number and any other info, but she kept the scammer talking knowing full well she was trying to scam her. The scammer wanted payment, so my daughter said she would get her credit card, she could hear the scammer getting excited thinking she was getting money, then my daughter said to the scammer, “Do you think for one minute I would give you my credit card details”. Then hung up. Please everyone be aware. And thank you for all your hard work, brilliant. Your are brilliant.
These people talk non stop and so fast and the stress level just goes up and up. Love it. They deserve much more.

There would be NO FEMALE BOSS in a company like this in India. It is a patriarchy and women are not allowed to have such high positions in companies. "Amelia" is likely a new hire and not only doesn't know Pierogi but is trying to prove herself capable of doing this scamming.

Switch to Consumer Cellular if you can. They are a U.S. based company as well as their customer service and often rated number one in customer service as well. I have had them since March and am very satisfied with the company.

You have to keep calling whoever you're working with a "fresher" (Indian term for "new hire"). That'll get on their nerves like crazy because even actual freshers don't like being called that.

I found this so entertaining and whilst you had her on the phone for so long it prevented her from making a call to someone and scamming them for real! So you still saved someone in the making of this!

Hello! I want to thank you so much for everything that you do. Your videos have become a tool for me as a retail manager to show customers what's likely happening to them and in some cases what I know is happening to them. One woman I showed your video to burst into tears, they were running the same scam on her. We stopped her from spending $5,000 of her hard-earned money to people who are unscrupulous and horrible. Thank you, so many times thank you for what you do you've helped more people than you could ever know, Pierogi.

Here in the UK, BT (British Telecom) used to use an Indian call centre, but that if one specifically asked, the call could be re-routed back to a UK call centre...
I guess in the end, BT realised that half the time thier UK customers could not understand a thing that was said from anyone in an Indian call centre, so they closed down the foreign call centres.

Hey mate, I am from Australia and what annoys me is their persistence I just hang up when I get calls from Microsoft or my ISP because I know they do not phone one for any reason. I dread to think what their phone bills or data usage must cost I suppose they make enough money from successful scams to keep on doing it. Keep up the good work my friend!

I had my identity stolen just once and now I keep gaurd. I got lucky, I didn't have to pay anything, but someone got several apple watches and laptops.
