one thing i've been noticing this season more and more... signs of respect! Usually the show would lean into its default everyone ends the scene in some sort of disorder and disruption... but with this moment, the middler scene (when Richard Kind acknowledges Larry's great middling ability), and even Larry and Susie coming together for the middling discussion... it's like the show still has its bite, but it's also kinder than usual?
@@koppilork If you look up Behind the Scenes with Larry David and the cast of Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiam on RUclips you can see them all talk about it. Guess they never have proper scripts, only ideas. Makes me love this show even more. Esp the Scenes with Larry and Leon.
2:45 Thing is Gabby never told Larry that he asked her to prom or that he was the captain (just that he played basketball) or that she “blew him in caaaaah”.😅
If I’m being honest she kind of deserves it for having such a big mouth. Now she knows how everybody else feels when she tell everybody else their secrets. Seems fair to me.
2:40 First time I watched, I thought those sushi chefs were speaking Japanese and that Larry and his woman somehow just understood that they were spilling her secret in Japanese.
I nearly blurted out “He steal umbrella..” in reply to the Irashaimase greeting at the local conveyor sushi joint yesterday. I loved Northern Exposure.
No Japanese chefs would be seeing things like that out in public out loud. Probably just me but the old episodes are a lot better because they seemed a lot more realistic and didn't go into crazy scenarios that don't really exist in the real world.
Hahahahaha...Two friends that tell two friends, and so on and so on, is not the CoronaVirus, it's the 1984 Faberge Organics Commercial with Heather Locklear
3:49 Can't you get a more flattering picture of Larry in the final seconds of the videos? Would it be so hard? The cropping makes his head look too weird.
There were multiple grievances from Larry as well as a big one from Gabby. When Hal's father collapsed at the club dining room, everyone including Larry stood up in concern, but Larry quickly shrugged his shoulders and sat back down to finish eating. Hal interpreted it as Larry feigning concern, but really only caring about finishing his lunch. Next, Larry was running late to the memorial service for Hal's father because his secret shortcut to the valley was now busy with bumper-to-bumper traffic due to Gabby _gabbing_ about it, making it not-so-secret anymore. Realizing that he would be very late, Larry called Jeff and Freddy and told them that Gabby revealed his shortcut, and informed them that he was turning around going back home in frustration. Freddy, who was still royally ticked at Larry for ruining his favorite shirt, publicly berated Larry's behavior during his eulogy at Hal's father's memorial service. Given Freddy's remarks, Hal figured out that Larry and Gabby were seeing each other. (Back when the two dated previously, Gabby had apparently also revealed to Hal - about her past indiscretion with a high school student, while Hal confided in Gabby that he had an affair with his former mother-in-law. Gabby subsequently gabbed that salacious info and ultimately everyone heard about Hal and his former in-law, which ultimately broke up Hal's marriage). Hal was finally able to orchestrate the perfect revenge, getting back at both Larry _and_ Gabby at the same time at the restaurant using the chefs who despised Larry for his 'irasshaimase' indiscretion during the first visit.
@@oubrioko Another key offense was that Larry refused to pray for Sol Berman. Also related to the explanation, Morrow found out the 2 were dating because Larry personally told him so.
For anyone complaining LD is stepping over the boundaries lampooning Japanese traditions, yeah, he's pushing the envelope, but for the sake of humour. Good satire plays no favourites when it comes to nationalities or religions. His comedy is courageous... and funny!
The way Larry salutes that guy for getting back at him is priceless
Real respects real.
I love how the little things drive Larry nuts, and when he gets screwed over personally he nods ‘well played’ 😂😂😂
I like how when someone tries to tell him he’s wrong and not to do something he replies with “duly noted”
This guy never ages! He looked 100 many years ago, but he still looks 100.
He's looked 70 his whole life. Now he actually is 70
well, larry and bernie are the same! i love both 😂
he looks 100 and acts 30 haha
He's à great accord. Larry is authentic in his Play. 👏👏👏👏👍😄😄👍
He’s definitely aged. Look at season 1
"SHE BLEW HIM IN CAAAAAR!"
"SHE BLEW HIM IN CAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Hilarious !!!!!
"No good?" always gets me
SHE BLEW HIM IN CAAAAAAR 😭😭😭😭 i‘m dead cause i died laughing
I fucking LOST it!!! 😂
I was just about to write that. That was the funniest line.
I'm there with you...😂
Larry has very convincing driving acting. I mean he is looking away much longer than you should at times, but that's expected.
I guess it’s hard to imagine your actually on the road driving when there’s 6 cameras, bright lights, and 30 people staring at you. So kudos to Lar
That was the biggest knock on Cary Grant.
Sodeskah...
Thank you to whoever put all these Curb episodes up. I’ve been sitting on my toilet for 20 minutes now…
🤦♂️
A higher fiber diet will surely help with that problem.

Still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that they're improvising. Thanks for the free episodes and the laughs!

@@alexsoto350 Yeah I figured. Still think it's cool that the show isn't completely scripted.
Part of the myth and legend. They’re not improvising any more than your favourite TV interview show or quiz show is improvising.

She told Hal
She failed to realise it. Which add to the codemic effect of the scene.

After years of watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, one thing is abundantly clear,
Larry really rubs the Japanese the wrong way!!!
2:39 "Chicken Teriyaki Boy!"
I had hoped for that!!!
The 'tip of the cap' salute to your opponent is pure class.
This is the greatest show to ever exist, comedy, drama anything 😂
That imaginary tip of the hat was Larry’s way of saying I met my match today
Really!.are you sure!?
I loved it, such a great moment
tip of the hat? I thought it was a soldier salute?

"Gochisousama deshita!" = "Great effort put into the meal, thank you!"
Rob Morrow says this to the chefs?
I’ve watched this entire season out of order in RUclips clips
Ditto. Bloody HBO isn’t available here…
Now go try that with It's Always Sunny.
We always are sure of one thing, even watching out of order that Larry will get screwed over daily BUT he will have the last laugh somehow
“Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we’ll see how it goes”

Best episode this season
In a previous episode Larry did not like Greek music but I notice now he’s got the bouzouki playing as background! Opa!
Lmao the umbrella

Gabby by name, gabby by nature

I loved Northern Exposure.
What a brilliant episode.😂
They should have Rob Morrow back again as the guy who gets the best of Larry. It could be his thing.
the best thing about this episode, larry got attacked so bad 😂 its funny tho. hbo knows how to make great shows!
Susie’s dress I thought she going to flatten him with a punch😂
Larry worried the rain will miss his hair.
😆
Rob “Joel Fleischman” Morrow is the master!!!
Northern Exposure was the best show--period.
Hope they keep him!
Weird. I just rewatched Northern Exposure for the first time in years, and here's Rob Morrow in a Curb episode. I didn't even know he acted anymore.
Larry's Rainday pivot run is too cute.
I live in Japan. This episode is perfect. Irasshaimase!

Larry spends a lot if time at the cleaners.
So that guy that was sitting there. Is it that he overheard them speaking and he told the chefs?
No, you should watch the full episode. That guy was dating the woman previously and he knew all her secrets, also he had some beef with Larry
