Thank you! and good luck, just remember that while you're doing the work, tears of frustration eventually give way to tears of madness... not much better but you will at least be laughing
Apparently, DaveMan has never heard of Smurf, AKA ENT Flexible Conduit. Ran about 500' into my house when I remodeled. A touch easier than this. They sell it in sticks and rolls at both HD, Lowes & Menards. When you go to put pull string into it use a vacuum cleaner on one end and tie a small piece of plastic bag to the end of the string. Sucks that string through in a flash. Wayyyy easier that compressed air. Second on the Unifi BTW.
Sir, you should be aware that there a great many useful and superior products that I have not heard of. My ignorance is by no means limited to flexible conduit. Also good tip on the vacuum

Hi Dave. Did you consider using flexible conduit instead of hard PVC conduit, especially for some of the navigation through the walls and tight spaces?
Thinking ahead was definitely not high on the list for this one, and unfortunately I had a very short window to get the work done so some methods just had to be good enough. Next time though I'll apply what I've learned!
@@daveman4863 You sound like a smart guy! Thank you for the polite and prompt reply. I appreciate that you uploaded this and showed the various struggles of this.
Protip: if you are going to put electronic equipment such as servers, NVRs, routers, etc. under your stairs, you should be aware that stairs have a lot of cracks and seams which water can get through very fast. if someone for example puts a mop bucket on the landing, and that mop bucket were to be accidentally knocked down the stairs, you will not have a good time. let my pain be a lesson to you!
I'm crying laughing, this is absolutely amazing. I'm just about to do this to our new house and I hope I manage to keep my good humour like you did 😊

You just summed up every home "improvement" project I have even done. Great video!
Thank you! also I no longer live under that overpass which is nice
This is BY FAR my favorite home improvement video of all time. Thank you for making me feel normal.
This is funnier than I expected it. As a guy who just recently started to do small improvements in the house, I can relate :)
I was trying to contain my laughter, especially when you brought up Home Depot.

Had a good laugh, I should hire you to help me building / modifying my house, with a few beers etc.
Hey man, I didn't need to watch the whole way but I'm glad I did.
I had this sense of humor last weekend when I ran smurf tubing under my house to my office closet.
it's incredibly intertaining and i don't even own a house. we actually learn a lot about creativity too!
This was so funny. I can totally relate. Thanks for putting this together.
Glad you enjoyed, it's nice that something good came from my struggling
This was informative but also super funny. Good job!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed!
For a second I thought someone recorded me without my knowledge while I was running cat 6 throughout my house 3 years ago.
You know my pain then friend
@13:00 The most genuin laugh if i ever heard one. My kind of humor.

Also this man got Makita tools doing a Hercules install. But I will admit it was entertaining!
I'm going to start calling the gnarly jobs at work "Hercules Installs" love it
🤣Love the humor.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed
I suggest unifi stuff, they are the best imo
Nice, I gave them a quick look. I'm looking for an NVR that loop records onto local memory
@@daveman4863 look into setting up blue iris on an old computer and using it for the NVR works great has a large online community to.
Hilarious. Thanks.
