The title of the book is Mario Story, Mario Story is the Japanese name for Paper Mario, and Paper Mario takes place in the book universe. I think Neville is stuck on the final boss fight.

Don’t forget that we also have the cosmic princess Rosalina who’s mother is dead! We don’t even know how she died or long she’s been dead, but judging by when young Rosalina realized she was “sleeping under the tree,” it must’ve been for a HECK of a long time. Poor Rosalina!

I have to admit by playing Luigi's Mansion remake that Madame Clairvoya is my favorite ghost because she is the only ghost that's good in this game and treats Luigi nicely.
From what I have heard, king boo doesn't turn into browser, he possesses him because in this game Bowser is dead
The Sleepy Knight I'm pretty sure it's a robot and no that he's dead, because that would just completely mess up the Mario timeline.

I think that when the Butler starts, "Dancing", is because he sits on the candelabra accidentally. After all, he is scared of it.

All these ghosts are unique in personality and appearance. They have more personality than Mario for sure
I have to admit that Uncle Grimmly scared me when I was a kid, and even created a Mandela memory on me, I remeber that this ghost once you reached him he started jumping all over the room and with that noise that he does was constantly repeating, while he was jumping, that was enough for me to leave the game until I was 12 to find out that he was only there chilling.
I have never felt so horribly attacked so fast as to see the Ballroom Dancers be ranked at almost the rock bottom..

So much wasted potential with Uncle Grimmly. They built that fight up so well, with the blackout, the ominous phone call from E-gadd, having to nervously search for a veteran ghost while getting attacked in every single room...and he's a total pushover.
Also "he likes rooms with mirrors" is a very helpful hint, I mean it's not as if there's a room with a mirror taking up a whole wall that you'd naturally want to check first, otherwise that hint would be stupid, right?

Uncle Grimmly may be a bland portrait ghost, but the challenge associated with him is that you have to figure out which room he's in. Your only hint is that he likes rooms with mirrors, which - if you've played this game before - you'll know doesn't exactly narrow it down significantly. It can be a real pain in the neck on your first playthrough, particularly as he appears immediately after the blackout and the normal ghosts have free reign of nearly every room.

And I thought Mr. Luggs was supposed to be a reference to Bowser. Until he appeared in the final boss fight.
Luigi's Mansion was originally gonna have a bar, and if it fills up, the poltergust overheats (kinda like the dark-light from Dark Moon).
I like the final boss fight, but I have to ask why Bowser needed to be there. It comes out of nowhere, and kinda takes away from Luigi's Mansion's departure from series tradition.
I agree entirely, the king boo fight in LM2 is much cooler due to it being just king boo

Mr Luggs: Dodge fireballs then attack when he's tired
Spooky: give doggo bone from Mr bones, then attack
Bogmire: toss black blob at bogmire, then attack
Biff atlas: punching bag x3, then attack him
Miss Petunia: use ice, then attack her
Nana: toss three knit balls after you dodged laser eyes, then attack her
Henry and Orville: find them and use poltergeist to see the boxes shake (which is where they are hiding at), then you attack them both
Slim Bankshot: Toss three pool balls at him, then attack him
Boolossus: ICE, then suck the boos up
Uncle Grimmly: when he moans, attack him
Clockwork Soldiers: suck the winder on their back, and don't forget to dodge the other's attacks while sucking up the ghost(s)
Jarvis: use ice seven times, then suck him up
Sue Pea: use water to wake her up, then attack her
Sir Weston: use fire to melt his ice wall, then suck him up
Vincent Van Gore: beat his ghost paintings, then suck him up
King Boo & Bowser: suck the spiky things when Bowser launched them, then suck up king Boo (watch out for Bowser's ice attacks from above)
What exactly is bogmire? I know he’s made out of fear and despair from the mansion but is it like after the mansion disappears after beating the game, does he cease to exist? Is he a physical entity or just some sort of personification. Are his black versions like exact copies of him with only different colors? He seems to be the most mysterious out of the portrait ghosts in my opinion.👻

Bogs are usually full of droopy goo like Bogmire is made of just its usually green and not purple
Maybe he’s a dark entity made of goo or a Lost Soul or a hellspawn that can transport you to pocket dimensions like that one SCP

Henry and Orville have always been my favorites, i feel like they are really unappreciated, and as well that their parents ( Neville in particular) arent that great, mainly since all they say is really bad things, Lydias is understandable, Neville’s really isnt. I find it horrible how he says they are just weak and childish when they are 5, and comparing them to the other son Chauncey, who is clearly the favorite. Its why I sympathize with them as well, to me they are the best

I still think one of the best uses of gameplay mechanics for environmental storytelling/foreshadowing is when you walk onto Boolossus' balcony and your Boo radar just instantly starts flipping shit

I think their backstory is really sweet/sad that they still dance because they can't compete in their dancing championships anymore, and that they share 1 heart.

also the reason van gore gets mad and says you dont appreciate his art is because every nonportrait ghost or regular enemy is one of his paintings that has been brought to life, so essentially you have been destroying his artwork from the beginning of the game

I could never put Mr. Luggs, boolossus, or Weston anywhere but the worst three slots because of how many times I had to replay the entire game just to get those damn gold frames.
