Great clean build and flight testing. Everything so accessible. I find this blended wing design very ascetically pleasing, and it appears to be fun to fly. Nice gentle stall characteristics too, as not prone to dropping wing. Loved the fun spin demo at 13:50. :) Be gentle. When you tell yourself not to fly below 30 kph (8:44 because will stall), approaching at 30-20 kph 9:26 is bold and risky. Great reaction and lucky burst of motor good power, for a nice last second save. Of note: below ~2x treetop height there is a wind gradient (dropping in windspeed with height), so better to carry some extra speed until closer to ground, to avoid a sudden airspeed drop. Similar applies if flying close to mountains in stronger winds. I wouldn't say these were bad landings, just entertaining landings, for our viewing pleasure. ;) Regarding disassembly, you might be able to swap out the wing screws with ones that have large head so can be finger tightened like on the AR Wing Pro. Depending of local hardware availability, you might need to 3d-print a custom bolt head with a finger grip. An possible upgrade is a folding prop to lessen breakage concern on landings. The downside is a folding prop is harder to balance, so may produce jello when doing a moderate powered-on cruise. Personally think the default setup is fine, but you might check prop balance under power. Some jello seen at higher motor RPM (4:10). What is the grippy-tap applied to the landing skids? (7:18) Seems very effect when launching.

I love the dolphin for the looks. And apperantly it's also a really good plane. The mars has been a very reliable bigger plane and I'm looking forward to more plane flying this year!
I liked the landings, you could set it down in small fields with practice. That little camera once again stabilized nicely, you can really see it with wind rocking the plane.
It's definitly a great and capeable plane. Got the most range and flighttime out of this one. They sometimes sell for around 150$ - on AliExpress we've seen a clone of it "darkstar 1200" - which looks very similar but in dark grey foam. The AtomRC Dolphin is a bit smaller but similar - and imho it looks even better...
My landing are similar lol, I have no issues flying it my landings that are bad, that’s why you never see any of my flights with planes, oh by the way that prop under throttle seems like it could do with a balance. But it was fine when you backed off

Beautiful plane! Specially designed for FPV. And the 1.5 kg weight may be a little heavy for a 1200 plane.🤨 Big wingspan and front pull style can help to resist the wind gust.
@@Rcschim I was actually thinking that , but not strong enough to guess. Ive never been there but have studied the south east Vienna satellite photos . My grandfather died over Zwolfaxing in WW2 and it’s a life time goal to visit the site where his plane came to rest, although it may be restricted (I THINK it’s now a tank manufactured plant). I look forward to more of your videos :)

You got it too slow on the landing.....it's not a quad...lol....Fly it in Cruz Mode, reduce the workload, stays level, on heading and maintains altitude...🤔😳😳🇬🇧

Keep an eye on it, sometimes it is down to 180$ or so...
