So very interesting to know amazing facts about our country! Would definitely love to visit the Rann in season. The answer for today is the city of Udaipur in Tripura as well as in Rajasthan !
Thank you for all that you do! 🙏🙏🙏 I'm learning as much as I can about India as I plan to visit India soon. Your channel is a valuable resource, and very professionally done. Your are appreciated, needed and wanted. You can count me as your latest grateful subscriber. Best wishes from South Africa.
You did a fantastic job of explaining the geological changes that occurred in the Rann of Kutch. Do you know whether the average annual depth has experienced any change in the Rann of Kutch over the past decade?
Hi. Thanks for a kind words. The government has been promoting tourism in Kutch, and the festival in the White Desert has been held every year. If there were any significant changes in the average annual depth then it would have affected the flooding pattern during the monsoons and consequently the rate at which water recedes thereafter. I haven't heard of any such changes in the recent past, and therefore doubt that the average annual depth has undergone any major changes in the last decade or so.
Amazing facts to know abt Rann of Kuch and surprise that line if cancer and Capricorn is shifting towards equator... Is it due to change in tilting angle? Or apogee perigee position?
Actually the tropics are shifting primarily because of a slight wobble in the Earth's axis. So as the tilt of the axis varies , over time, so do the tropics. Currently, the tropic of Cancer is around 23.4 deg North, and it is moving between 22.1 deg N to 24.5 deg N over a 41,000 year period. This means, the tilt of the Earth's axis is also 23.4 degrees as of now, and will vary between the same 22.1 to 24.5 in the said period. I hope I was able to make some sense / clarify the issue :D
Amazing. You are doing a great show. Our knowledge is improving day by day. So many things we did not know about our great and beautiful country. Thanks a lot . Keep the good show going. Congratulations once again.
These are very interesting videos and topics. I would love to know more, but the videos seem too small. Could you please have longer more extended versions and talk more in-depth?
Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked the content. So far as the length is concerned, I've noticed ppl are generally more interested in shorter videos. I was in fact thinking of making them even shorter 😀
@@MapItwithKartikeya That's a shame, really XD. Maybe you can have extended versions of the same videos that would have more info. But I completely understand that would be lot of extra work for you. But I also think many people would be interested in detail too :). I am very happy to see the rise of Indian RUclipsrs such as yourself. We have so much to explore in terms of history, geography, culture, people, and arts :D Looking forward for more videos
Best part is unlike Google where we have to search so many articles for different things you compiled everything in one vid and showed us through maps which Made it easier to understand
UPSC Asked a question this year Which of the following is the best example of repeated falls in sea level, giving rise to present-day extensive marshland? A. Bhitarkanika Mangroves B. Marakkanam Salt Pans C. Naupada Swamp D. Rann of Kutch Lot of people saying, Rann of Kutch should be the answer. Do you think it fits the description? If not what do you think could be the most possible answer?
Actually the area is so salty that hardly anything can grow there. I happened to visit it in January and found just some hardy shrubs growing there. So while your idea is good, it may be tough to implement. Also, the area is under water during the monsoons, making it further difficult for trees to survive.
We don't make any salt from greater Rann of kutch we make salt in little Rann of kutch and gandhidham area .u can see salt desert from 20 th November till march first week.than dusty wind will change colour of salt .can any body help me with their knowledge to correct me that at monsoon time wind direction force sea water to mix with monsoon water in kutch?
It’s misguiding, salt is being produced in sea coast not Rann of kutch, in last 10 yrs salt production in rann of kutch has been started by Archean chemicals company

It’s Udaipur from Tripura which is apparently called town of lakes somewhat similar to its namesake in Rajasthan

@@MapItwithKartikeya Yes I have research on net during monsoon even sea water enters. Flooding.
