U have to remember that most people that play Smite don't even play conquest, and also are not good at the game. In arena u are going to suffer playing as any character with channeled abilities and 0 poke

Not if you play intelligently. Guan is pretty good in Arena considering you can constantly be healing your team mates but he also needs a team, both in terms of players & gods, that can help him out. Yeah he can't set up kills like herc or poke like nike but guan will flourish if the backup is there.
@@zerothelightbringer8874 Hes not that great compared to the other warriors. I cant speak for arena but i can in joust. In joust someone will stun you out of your 3 before you can even get half the damage, his heal is good early on but wont do much in the late game. His ult is pretty much the only good thing he has.
Most of the good warriors have a more than one form of cc. Horus 2 is a stun the also lowers procs on enemies, then he can 1 as a knock up, and shoot his auto for a slow. 3 forms of cc. And he has an evade that heals. What makes a tank good is their cc and a dmg ability that doesnt take 4 seconds to do max dmg.

Noobs don't do well on those gods in arena but guan can dominate just like any other God provided a certain level of experience and competence is present.
I'm not that great at guan either but it takes a special type of person to go write up a rant about how the god needs to be reworked just because you suck at playing them
Saying his old ult was better for team fights like an AoE stun isn't all you could ask for

His old self was better in every single way (i'm assuming we're talking about pre-rework) even his ult that did way more damage, was very hard to dodge, and with every hit it crippled/silenced iirc.
However, that was way too broken and right now it's on a very good position without being unfair.
Also, i read a little bit of the post here and it says that his passive only affects his heal and that it ONLY stacks by reciving damage... i haven't played in a while, but isn't that just blantantly false? You can still stack it with every basic and ability that damages anything no? And the passive affects 1's healing, 2's slow, 3's shred and ult's stun+slow no? Either this guy is playing a different game or doesn't know how to read.
Edit: just looked it up, the passive does exactly what i mentioned lmao, i remember such useless things, but yeah, that guy is just full-on wrong, unless he means it only makes his 1 *decently* better compared to the rest, but the shreds in the 3 and slow+stun are very important too so... still wrong...

i usually do well with guan after getting 5 and my opponent doesnt respect the power spike. then you just become a monster the rest of the match

I would argue Guan Yu in the past two years hasn't even been bad when he has been perceived as such. Lotus Sickle and Regrowth are SO good on him.

Honestly I feel the same about guan once I get past early game, I feel like I just don’t do any damage past level 10 I just feel like a second support. A damage sponge who can heal that’s it
He definitely plays more supportive given that you want to be near allies to get that cd reduction from your 1, but hes more than capable of landing kills with his 3 alone, not even mentioning the ult. Just gotta cycle the abilities so that youre getting the most out of the cd reduction in his kit

Just a thought, but give guan nemesis old dash, where you have to hit an auto if you want to dash again... Either that or lower the slow percentage

I mean guan is pretty bad against most warriors on the laning phase UNTIL he gets 2-3 items up, he has to play very close to his team to be eeffective so therefore not very agressive as a diver nor very cc oriented at all he only has his ult so he can't really peel. Hyper late game he dies in 7-8 basics from a hunter and his kit needs time to get going which he doesn't really have.
Overall I would say he is not terrible but definitely slightly below average

Nah guan is definitely poop. His kit is just all over the place, barely any cc, the most telegraphed abilities ever. And think about it if his 3 gets canceled what can you do besides auto someone and do a lame little dash. Thats coming from a diamond guan too, he just doesnt offer much out of solo. His 1 should be changed to a skillshot stun or a knockup or something fun.

still not convinced since his 3 can be interrupted by most gods. his ult is great but heal is meh. his heal not having a way to get better except passive sucks. i prefer his guardian version as passive and heal. as a guan main is till find him lackluster and 1 dimensional and frustrating. also his dash is so short. compared to other gods he doesnt do anything ebtter than anyone. no reliable cc too except his ult.

Every game where i was allover the place with Guan and using his dash to do dmg while dodging abilities it was just 🤌🤌🤌
