Going thru my watch-later list wondering “why in the world did I put this in my list 11 years ago”. Then I press play. This video answered my question ❤️. Still hits 11 years later ❤❤
Me and my friends, we have been looking for this video since the last time we watch it. And today, 7 years later we finally found it. Listening this mix in high school was such a joy.
Here we go-the next level. Elevating the art into the future with clean lines, searing routines and a symmetrical triangular chemistry I haven't seen since the Beastie Boys. Bravo.
That "rock the funky beat" routine is ill and clean as fuck. I love the classic turntablist team sound of that routine and the skratch solos at 2:05 with the "the funk beat" and "fresh" samples are fucking tight; those flare combo's are super dope. Good work guys. I haven't seen a routine i really liked in a long time. Keep it up.
my little 2 year old loves watching this too He asks for it By Name "9-Clock" he says all the time then goes through the whole routine with you on the turntables pretending to scratch with you guys saying Wohaa... then later Funky Beats, Your in trouble and Beats Beats Beats, a funny E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E sound followed by Ain't no sunshine LOL
LOURD LA FAMILLE !!!! 15 ANS DE TAFF ... BIG UP A NOS 3 PTIT ENFOIRES PREFERES !!!! see yaaaaaaaaa Dj Pray One // BLOCK HOP BARCELONA ... TURNTABLES ALWAYS ON POWER AT THE SHOP !!!!!
Cool shit right there everything totally on point. Scratches & cuts are crazy. Sounded like some concert shit to me all kinds of sounds & throw backs. Good stuff. I like the routine.

Is the beat and those vocals and what not a digital mixdown you play in the background while doing all the scratch and other arrengements? Or one of you play all those all the time ?
Still one of my favorite routines of all time, I come back and watch this all the time and so does my son Emerson, he has asked for you guys by name since he was 2 years old he's now 4 and still asks for you guys by name 9 O'Clock... I think we both will always love this set. My son has me put on "Ain't No Sunshine" on the turntables or the "Aphrodite remix of "Rock The Funky Beat" so he can try and scratch along with the video sometimes - www.djemir.com
Sounds too good, like it's quantised, too perfect... If not, big ups for the technique, bow down, but i doubt, no scratch DJ is that perfect. Any thoughts anyone? P.S. Nothing wrong with quantising, but scratching can't be quantised, what I want to say is that it might be an Ableton set rather than live scratching.
They obviously had multiple takes on certain solo sections, but this exact routine was performed live for DMCs. These guys are the real deal, if you retake the shot/audio until its perfect it will sound quantized and "perfect." Definitely all real though, no question.
7 People were looking at the video upside down because they were showing a friend and then mistook the dislike button for the like button, it's all a matter of perspective I guess. LOL
I love this set so much. Very inspiring and amazing combo of creativity, showmanship, synchronization and skill. One of the best team routines I've seen. - www.djemir.com
now that's a scratch!

***** the routine was most likely live recorded through traktor and had some warping touch ups in ableton and the video was edited to match
If you listen to the same scratches, they sound like they were C/P, there is little or no variation.
They obviously had multiple takes on certain solo sections, but this exact routine was performed live for DMCs. These guys are the real deal, if you retake the shot/audio until its perfect it will sound quantized and "perfect." Definitely all real though, no question.
