Thanks for remembering Dad and keep him involved. Farming is his life and he can't do it anymore it probably wouldn't be good for his health. I sure do wish I still had my Dad!
I have an uncle that farms in NY state and he bought a tractor overseas and they changed the hitch for him to make it to US standards, free of charge too.
Best of luck on the new season! Looking forward to a new spring/summer/fall season of more great videos from Wes and family. Makes my morning coffee breaks so much more enjoyable here in my dusty ol' wood shop! Wes - thanks so much for sharing! mike
On deadliest catch they bite the head off a fish to start the season, do you sacrifice a dandelion or something? On your sale tractors might want to see if our new president gets some trade going overseas that brings the price of commodities back up, then your tractor prices may go back up. I'm a little surprised you didn't run the mowers through your shop over the winter, I know when I was the mechanic at a golf course during the winter everything we were going to run the next season went through the shop and was serviced and all the delayed maintenance was cleared, paint touched up or painted. The first superintendent I worked for had me start everything once a week, the last guy would let me pickle the equipment after it was serviced and I spent about a week in late March or Early April waking things up.
We are weeks behind where you are season wise and it is looking like one hell of a crop already! Should be a good year as long as there isn't too much rain!
good morning I just realized why are you enjoy your videos I appreciate your values and your work ethic which is something that isn't done very often these days enjoy the videos people come and stay safe good day
Wes, you should do a vid on all the tractors on the chopping block and let us viewers help you choose on the ones you should keep, it would be cool. thx
Look forward to riding along through the new hay season Wes, looks like pre season maintenance is moving along with no nasty surprises other then the one tractor. Cheers mate.
Wes did your tractor not come with 2 hitches because or our case we have what I call a eye hook and we can take it out and replace it with the pin type hook and that adds two foot between the implement and the tractor
I loved the fresh hay smell but not the dam dusty, hot, humid haymow and 3 touches per 50+ # bales. Good luck avoiding the frost that setback last years harvest.
Wesley ! all you need do is lower the pick up hitch, remove the pins and change the hook for the draw bar, I don't think you need to buy a new hitch ! regards.
Assuming there is a real machine shop (and I don't mean NAPA) in your area, maybe you could get someone to make a hitch bracket to put the Krone on the back of the English tractor for less than the two grand you would spend on a new hitch for the tractor.
I think your tractor will come with a clevis hitch you can change it between the hook and clevis so u can just put a pin on the clevis. as working for a dealer in the UK the drawbar on the baler may need to set up so your pto is inline ur local dealer can do this I have no idea why this is not possible all our customers use the clevis hitch on there balers in conjunction with the saftey chain.
you can get different inserts for the baler. there is a roll pin holding the ball in, just knock out and change swivel eye have done it before as customers with large new holland eg t8050 have different clevis hitches.
I know it is a safety thing but the first thing I do on new equipment is neatly take off the pto shaft covers. Easier to grease and they don't get loose and wear the joints prematurely from vibration. Also makes the machine look better for resale when you slip them back on before selling it. Yea osha
Did I miss it? Did you disable the egr valves on the 8530 and 7530? I found three options on how to do it and am wondering how you did yours,if you did it? Thanks and I do enjoy watching your videos
Have 3 JD 7260r to 7280r, run them on triple mowers, make the import dealer I buy them from change all the shit on the back hitch before i buy them.....nothing wrong with sticking shit in the shed dirty, no reason the wash stuff up n stick it in the shed n rest it rust for the winter!!!! By the way I have triple mowers now, have had 3 big Ms in the past.....DONT DO IT!!!
Sorry Jord A if my comment came across the wrong way. What I read in the newspapers and on internet the government taxes farmers to the point where it's not even profitable to farm the fields. If they just let the farmers do there jobs and farm there grains etc. without all the restrictions and extra taxes they wouldn't have to import 3/4 of what they do. Sorry again
i was over visiting my great aunts house reminiscing my very young yrs being over there with my dad helping my great uncle do hay. lot different than you do now. my great uncle just passed away Wednesday. my uncle farmed with a jd 50 with new idea front end loader and a mf 165? not sure on the mf for sure though. hauling manure once and he bumped the pto into ground speed driving through the yard and left a trail of it. lol
Hi Wes , you are wrong about this you never fit the ring type on balers or implements such as mowers and other equipmet that is trailed , trailers and slurry tanks are equipped with ring type , all you have to do is pull out the hook on the pick up hitch on your tractor and fit the draw bar type its just two pins , and the drawbar is extended so your pto should be ok , look at the manual 😃 and please respond to my coment 😜
well i am sorry to tell you that the drawbar hitch that came with the UK hitch is way to small for the hitch on the baler. it only had a cat. 2 pin on it i needed a cat 3 at the least. i bought the cat. 4
onelonleyfarmer , hi Wes yes I seen your video installing the hitch , wow it's massive , there is no doubt it's a better job for that baler , and it complies to regulations , the European style is very convenient but it's true is underengineered , too light , best of luck with the new season 😃
onelonleyfarmer I know you have told us a couple times but I can't remember what videos you told us in but how much were you looking to get out of it? If you still have it this fall I may be interested.
Wes, I like your vidios, I know you dont want to hear anything bad about Tim and he is your son. On the other hand he is allways screwing up. I want to mention that the vidios the Farmer here needs some advice from you about his acting etc.
Wes, their a drawbar pin hitch with that 8530, and 7530, pin down threw it and your away, it's not the hook type your talking about that would be to close, it's the one your using on the 7530 but you took the top off it!
Wes would a mobile bio char manufacturing system crated in a 20 ft container. Inputs 20 tons of wood chips OUTPUT 30 % Bio char..6 tons. 50 % BIO FUEL..refine 2000 gallons est and it burns, for 72hr. Shop heat when running onfarm. Amaron Oil. online or utube channel Utah State University has a working unit. Change the cool had for the diaper. A future oil savings barron.
Thanks for remembering Dad and keep him involved. Farming is his life and he can't do it anymore it probably wouldn't be good for his health. I sure do wish I still had my Dad!
cannot wait to see the 8530 run! Feel the power!
I have an uncle that farms in NY state and he bought a tractor overseas and they changed the hitch for him to make it to US standards, free of charge too.
It's about to begin! Best of luck to you for a great season Wes. Look forward to your vids this summer.
I fully agree with you Veeser!
Always best to be looking at good production.
Best of luck on the new season! Looking forward to a new spring/summer/fall season of more great videos from Wes and family. Makes my morning coffee breaks so much more enjoyable here in my dusty ol' wood shop! Wes - thanks so much for sharing! mike
About to start the season, mowing, bailing running with two new JD tractors, looking forward to it Wes, right Tim 😲😲😲😲😲😛😂😛😂😛😂😛🚜🚜
That case is a good solid machine she's done well for you as long as she keeps producing that's awesome
we've had such cool weather here in Louisiana , our grass hasn't been going too quickly

My uncle bought a big m420 last year they a awesome to mow in big fields
I worked on many farms as a teenager, never had air on a tractor. I would have liked it.
Gettin' the itch aren't ya Wes?? ( If I had a crop like yours coming on, I would absolutely bonkers happy or worried? or excited or or or)
Wes, you should do a vid on all the tractors on the chopping block and let us viewers help you choose on the ones you should keep, it would be cool. thx
Not a farmer, and the stress I see you and your family go thru day after day, don't think I would ever make it as one
Look forward to riding along through the new hay season Wes, looks like pre season maintenance is moving along with no nasty surprises other then the one tractor. Cheers mate.
The hitch on your Krone baler reminds me of the hitch on a JD 1409 or 1419 mower!
But enjoy your videos everyday. You tell it as it is, which makes you and your family stand out people. Good luck all season.
Wes did your tractor not come with 2 hitches because or our case we have what I call a eye hook and we can take it out and replace it with the pin type hook and that adds two foot between the implement and the tractor
And next year MAKE time to clean your equipment before putting it away for the winter. Only kidding. Great job. Good luck again.
awesome video West I am ready see some mluch hay cutting videos
And hope our NEW government administration will make farming something that will last a long long time.
govt needs to keep its nose outa farms. they cant operate their own business properly or for profit. dont wreck my way of life.
I think you have a good mower setup. If you had a big m you would hate unfolding it for ever small feild! Keep the videos coming.
I loved the fresh hay smell but not the dam dusty, hot, humid haymow and 3 touches per 50+ # bales. Good luck avoiding the frost that setback last years harvest.
hope everything works good for you wes thanks for the video
nice tractors.. waiting to see the 4690 get fixed the 4010d being put together, and the big tractor hitch installed... you got lots going on Wes
the draw bar should come with the tractor , or it's hook on one end and draw bar pin type combined , so you just have to reverse it's direction
Wesley ! all you need do is lower the pick up hitch, remove the pins and change the hook for the draw bar, I don't think you need to buy a new hitch ! regards.
$15000 on twine,$600 on hyd oil $2000 plus on a hitch,$$$ on tires ,$$$ on this and $$$$$$ on that!!!
How do you sleep at night??
i sleep good
I could never handle the stress of worrying about all the shit he has to worry about
I94SOUTH that's the farmers life!
onelonleyfarmer I bet your haters and trolls would shit themselves if they seen your expenses and profits love your videos
Its not how much you spend, its about how much is coming in, youve got to spend money to make money!
I would like to see a video of your hay to see how tall it is. I saw the video when you fertilized your hay.
Hey Wes.
How about tipping the main drawbar 180° on the baler and hooking it to the top link pin as per mainland european practise.
plus if you had any issue with the 8530 you could still hook it on another tractor..
Assuming there is a real machine shop (and I don't mean NAPA) in your area, maybe you could get someone to make a hitch bracket to put the Krone on the back of the English tractor for less than the two grand you would spend on a new hitch for the tractor.

Tom Sullivan the pin hole is three sizes to small
you can get different inserts for the baler. there is a roll pin holding the ball in, just knock out and change swivel eye have done it before as customers with large new holland eg t8050 have different clevis hitches.
onelonleyfarmer if that's the case can you make the hole bigger burn it out with the acetylene torch or drill it?
John sweda that's stupid...welding or cutting will ruin the temper of the steel.
Johnny Tractorman of course it won't? you can re-temper the still afterwards
I know it is a safety thing but the first thing I do on new equipment is neatly take off the pto shaft covers. Easier to grease and they don't get loose and wear the joints prematurely from vibration. Also makes the machine look better for resale when you slip them back on before selling it. Yea osha
Great video Wes, hope you make one of you getting/shifting all that outta the shed. Big THUMBS UP on this end!!
would it still not work on the baker if you used the UK draw bar with the top half of the jaw bolted back on???
you could buy a second JD mower and keep the case, then you, tim and your dad could mow and cody can do the raking.
Did you check the fluids??
All the best for the cutting season bro.
Boy time flies almost seems like yesterday you got the bailer back from the dealer see ya Napa Mike
Nice sticker you got on there! I want stickers so bad of my channel
Farmable I noticed that too in the beginning lol
Hi Wes, what do you do for fuelling all your kit, do you have stores/onsite or have to take them out to refuel?
Hayy Wes, best of luck to you from ohio. Stay safe and have fun.
The output is called bunker fuel...imagine if you started shipping tankers to the mushroom barns.
that got me laughing when you had to start the green machine
Did I miss it? Did you disable the egr valves on the 8530 and 7530? I found three options on how to do it and am wondering how you did yours,if you did it? Thanks and I do enjoy watching your videos
I would look into getting a stack wagon. "knock on wood" your other one don't break after I typed this.
When did u fire up that combine for the last time ?
You getting ready to cut and Im just going to start planting lol
Have 3 JD 7260r to 7280r, run them on triple mowers, make the import dealer I buy them from change all the shit on the back hitch before i buy them.....nothing wrong with sticking shit in the shed dirty, no reason the wash stuff up n stick it in the shed n rest it rust for the winter!!!! West, why are you thinking of selling the two tractors??
i was over visiting my great aunts house reminiscing my very young yrs being over there with my dad helping my great uncle do hay. lot different than you do now. my great uncle just passed away Wednesday. my uncle farmed with a jd 50 with new idea front end loader and a mf 165? not sure on the mf for sure though. hauling manure once and he bumped the pto into ground speed driving through the yard and left a trail of it. lol
Could u show the difference between a English hitch and a USA. Hitch plz
you usually talk about 3 tonne per acre crop, is that 3 tonne per acre of dry matter or bales weight? (3 tonne of bales per acre)
They are cutting hay all around here already.
Wonder what happens to all that used twine?? I never have anything start after setting two months, must not be living right
use to have a jd 8970 w Cummins motor in it was a bitch to cold start after sitting
Farming is Expensive....but he payoffs when they come are great
Its better for the airco to run it ones a week. It prevent it for leaking
hey, do you sell those onelonlyfarmer stickers? if so I'd be interested in some :-) keep up the great job you're doing
Isnt that the very bailer you used all last summer?
whats that on the back of the case windrower that spins?
its a set of brushes to sweep the dusty hay off the grille as it gets sucked onto it by the fan. helps keeping the engine cooler longer
G.J Bradshaw it's not a brush...it's a vacuum
How many acres of hay do you do?
How do you go with condensation in the fuel tanks with them empty over winter?
Daniel Beard well that was my worry but they are plastic tanks so I don't thing it's as big of a deal
I completely forgot about plastic tanks. My bad, Wes.
INSTEAD OF RING ITS CALLED A LUNETTE....
caps lock is stuck on....
2019 and he has the case lol
Hi Wes , you are wrong about this you never fit the ring type on balers or implements such as mowers and other equipmet that is trailed , trailers and slurry tanks are equipped with ring type , all you have to do is pull out the hook on the pick up hitch on your tractor and fit the draw bar type its just two pins , and the drawbar is extended so your pto should be ok , look at the manual 😃 and please respond to my coment 😜

can you sell the old hitch?
are u keeping the new tractors
How much for the 4230?
Run it and watch it!
Does the 8120 have long enough axles for rear duals?
Ryne McDaniel I would say yes
onelonleyfarmer I know you have told us a couple times but I can't remember what videos you told us in but how much were you looking to get out of it? If you still have it this fall I may be interested.
Where is this farmer from?
Randy Turnquist New Jersey
onelonleyfarmer are you in North Carolina in the past few days
Wes, I like your vidios, I know you dont want to hear anything bad about Tim and he is your son.
On the other hand he is allways screwing up. I want to mention that the vidios the Farmer here needs some
advice from you about his acting etc.
surprise you don't top off the tanks in fear of condensation and rust in the tanks
Hey yah know how I asked u about that 4960 if you'd sell it for 20 we'll we got a 1978 8639 with a 50 series engine
We got it for 14 5
What are you selling the 4230 for?

Did you start it
have you started the repair on the 4960 yet???....
Kevin Willis why do you ask questions that have been asked 100 times before and have nothing to do with the actual video posted? You are pretty dumb
There's always a 'hitch' somewhere..........sorry.
hahaha good one
looks like i am going to have to do a road trip to Arkansas with that M1
onelonleyfarmer That would be great! Come on down bubba. Th FedEx giving you fits?
cutworm59 yeah they have no desire to ship unless it's to a ffl holder
onelonleyfarmer where are you from sir?
The Big M is nice, but one thing i think you will find is you'll miss having 2 machines, Divide and Conquer.
Wes, their a drawbar pin hitch with that 8530, and 7530, pin down threw it and your away, it's not the hook type your talking about that would be to close, it's the one your using on the 7530 but you took the top off it!
Give your dad some credit he could learn
Your summer vids are better
2nd
rain. it started rainging hear at my place in western pa around 1.30 pm
Tractors should go to a Ringfeder system.
Buy also one proper (30 feet) European rake so you can bale more efficient and have dryer hay.
your tires on the krone are going the wrong direction
Danny Porter no they aren't you idiot lol
first!
