I've seen these throughout the years in vaious media, but when I found out this portfolio existed, I've always wanted one. A friend of mine has prints signed by McQuarrie himself...I'm jealous! I will someday get my hands on a copy of the portfolio. I'm also a fan of Doug Chiang and I guess concept art of Star Wars in general. Congrats and thanks for sharing as you did! I never knew this existed! Those colors are so incredible. What's incredible is so many of the set pieces in the original trilogy were paintings that the actors stood behind or in front of.

@@DK-421 yesss the hand painted backgrounds are one of the reasons why the OG trilogy is my favorite!! it feels so magical BECAUSE of all of the practical effects & handmade props!!!!!

@emilytano yes! Practical effects add SO much depth! It's cool what you can do with blue/green screens, but the original trilogy feels REAL.
