Lovely too see more people spreading the word how great no man sky has become on Psvr2!
What game wins nms or star field?
@@jeepsrtslw your dumb
@@jeepsrtslw starfield looks like a really good game, but as a person that went from hating the devolopers of no man sky to loving them i think no man sky. Hello games has earned it reputation for taking care of their game for years.
@@jeepsrtslw Starfield won't be VR until modders get hold of it but NMS PSVR2 now is just phenomenal. That said I cannot wait to play Starfield
@@the1andonlytitch NMS is brilliant in VR now. It’s just unfortunate that the VR community is small. Only a handful of us get to experience this masterpiece by Hello games. You could tell people just how good the game is, but they will not understand until they put on a VR headset and experience it for themselves.
I think that every future first-person game, whether it's a racer, a shooter, or an exploration and survival game like NMS, should have an option to play in either 2D or VR modes.
That’s my hope for the future, too
Yea. When VR gets bigger, way bigger. Community is just too small for devs to spend the money/time on it
I think it will be like that by the end of this generation. Modders are already doing it, check out Red Dead 2 VR looks incredible
That’s kind of an insane expectation to put on indie devs lmao. VR development is still much harder than traditional 3D development due to the lack of established standards for tracking for instance as well as many shader techniques that work on flat screens not working at all in VR. I hope more great games come to vr but your wish for every game to have vr built in is pretty silky imo.
@Kdkjdjewerdnxa It's not a crazy idea. It's just that right now, it's only improbable, not impossible.
Yeah it’s definitely one of the best Psvr2 experiences. I usually stand by the shores on a viridescent planet at night. While the plants light up in distant colors . And just experience complete amazement. This is a generational leap for Hello games, because no other AAA VR game can compete at the moment. Only if Sony would kick big gaming companies in the butt and get them to port their flatscreen games into VR. But NMS creators are light years ahead already
Never played this game but I’m jumping into it in VR for the first time
I hope your expectations are met. Because this game in VR is a masterpiece
What you think of it???
I did the same yesterday. Never played the game before. Looks good in psvr2. Hard to control the spaceship but damm what a feeling 🤯💦
Use your wrists. I had the same issue with the ship controls and that all went away when I stopped stretching my arms like I was paddling a canoe. Such an easy but missable fix.
It really is special now. It’s incredible!
Hands down best game on psvr2 by far
And gt7
@@powerbladesgt7 looks boring
What about RESIDENT EVIL 4 AND 8???????
When you swore near the start of your vid that is exactly what i did, just stronger language and a lot more of it 😅
I am in absolute heaven now, stunning game now complete with stunningly clear visuals.
Who needs broken firewall ultra when you've got a game thats 7 years old that blows it away 🙂👍🍻
Everything you said. That is how I felt too. NMS on PSVR1 helped me through lockdowns. It is half the reason I bought PS5/PSVR2. Massively disappointing at launch, but now - wow!
I spent my first 2 hours just wandering around my Freighter base and admiring my fleet. Must get out more! Anyone know where my ships may have gone. I had 6 fully loaded and now only have one? So happy with the update though I almost don’t care.
👍😂
I did the same. Lol
This is utterly amazing in VR now.
100% agree! I played it on psvr2. Was mind blown flying past astroids.
This is the game that made me realize that my headset isn’t broken. Crystal damn clear. I have basically all the others and none are this clear. Thank you hello games!
I want to try NMS in VR, I don’t have a VR headset yet but the reasons to get one keep increasing! Thanks for the video
This is the sort lf game i want to play in VR. I don't understand why most devs get things backwards.. immersive slow games are perfect for vr, arcade fast paced action games are perfect on flatscreen, NOT the other way around
This is why I will always be a PlayStation fan😊
I have been playing NMS ever since launch 2016 it just gets better and better I played with old vr and now PS5 VR2 it’s just fantastic if you haven’t got NMS Or VR2 go and get it it’s brilliant.
Would love to see Subnautica on PSVR2.
same here! i have a video on Subnautica VR coming soon : D
Man if this game just adds better combat, more weapons and some dark horror style planets I'm totally in lol
I LOVE this game in VR. Got soo many hours logged on it. Sometimes I do space battles. Sometimes I just fly around. Visit bases. Collect cool ships. So fun. I CANT WAIT till I can afford a PSVR2 & PS5 tho...
my first time jumping into this game. decided to buy it after hearing about how well the update enhanced the vr experience compared to before. been playing it since then and this is the only game (and re village) that i actually used a fully charged vr sense controller and drained its battery due to londg hours of playtime. what an amazing game. cant wait to go back in it.
try playing the rubberband man and since you been gone while flying your spacecraft. i feel like starlord (guardians of the galaxy) when doing so lol
Freeking incredible game , spent 30 hours in 3 days and can’t get off it
It is amayzing in VR, but would be nice if the plot would be as good as mass effect or smth like that.
i trieed it and man its crazy how clear it is. the rez is def better than 1080p maybe 2k but it lookd better in psvr2 than it does on my 3070
This is so much fun on vr ! Hope 2 see yall on a planet sometime lol
You should upload that full video of you checking out for your first time, I love seeing people’s reaction to this new update, it’s insane 😂
I don't own NMS, however...
When I saw all the bad reviews of the psvr2 version I told myself: they're gonna update it and then I'll buy it
My prediction came true and it's now half off in the store
This pretty much sums me up every time I put my VR head set on, i still can’t believe we can see all of this amazing stuff and actually be there in the world
Ship absolutely needs dual stick flight controls, I hate the virtual yoke, it’s way less precise than using the thumb sticks on the dualsense, so they should allow you to adapt that flight control scheme to psvr2. Otherwise it’s all great now
Looks absolutely fantastic now but i still feel the water and clouds need tweaking then it would be perfect.
Looks amazing
The way you are enjoying it, is how i was blown away when i started playing re4 remake VR 😅
Haha great outro. Yeah I've jumped in again and was blown away by the clarity. So much more immersive. Definitely an excuse to get back into it.
Great reactions mate, I had the same reactions, also noticed how the colours pop and the clarity of everything, I swear I could not tell the diffrence in sharpness between this and red matter 2 it’s that good, I’ve not seen those giant worms yet, do you know if they leave a tunnel for you to go inside, would be epic, thx for the video
no tunnel unfortunately! although they do scare the shit out of me :)
glad you enjoyed ❤️
😂 😉👍@@Jammyhero
I've enjoyed NMS, so much since it's been improved greatly. I am elated that I didn't give it away when it was released. I wouldn't want to play it any other way than on ps vr2.
I would love to experience no man's sky and VR. Sadly I don't have a PC nearly capable enough to run no man's sky and I have an Xbox for my gaming so yeah😢
Buy my PS4 pro and VR1 headset? Still incredible on those ❤. Also included farpoint and gun!
I have just ordered VR2 and No Man's Sky "for my kids" for Christmas XD
How are you liking it? I know it’s been a couple months but I always tell people to get the glass inserts to protect the lenses on the headset. I had to send my first one back because even cleaning the lenses with a lens cloth caused swirling on the plastic lenses that really was annoying. I got HonsVR inserts. They’re cheap and lifesaving. There’s other brands but these are the ones I got.
this is why i got the psvr2, I just thought they had actually updated it, cant believe they would release the psvr2 without this fully polished. They could have sold a lot more sets purely on this. In fact now that it is, they should do a massive marketing push and if they were smart, actually add some story content to do in co op. Paid content.
Man you just sold this for me, excellent review
The magic of Developers utilising Tobi Eye Tracking and Dynamic Foveated rendering....its the future for VR👍
I bought the disk version for the ps5, graphics looks terrible on my vr2, and everything is up to date. Does anyone have this issue?
I just picked this up… Had no idea it was a survival builder…. I can get my head out of the headset… it’s amazing..
And it's only twenty quid on the ps5 at the mo. Totally blown away.
I had this on PSVR1 and now on PSVR2 and the visuals always let it down. I’ve lost my disc so I’ll need to buy this again, looking forward to trying it with the new update. I’d love to see an option to toggle between the original look and a more realistic colour pallet such as actual black space instead of the bright green and purple.
100% agree that is the bests vr update i ever see, but idk, i'v been playing around 15h and you can see tons of blinking pixels, borders, idk how to call. Sometimes only one eye get blurry, idk why, i try cleaning and fixing on my face all the time, but is better then nothing i guess. Idk if is the vr2 or the game now, have to test, but vr2 for me was never clear, always blurry and that mura effect is too strong.
When i got my psvr2 nms was one of the first games i tried. I liked it. But yeah the visuals kinda bugged me. I only just found out about the update today. I wanna leave work and dive in again
Bro check the particle effects in red matter 1 as they react to your touch and movement , best games are by vertical robot
I’m really finding it hard to get excited to play Starfield now I am getting into NMS. Now it’s clear, it’s just leagues ahead of playing the this sort of thing in flat.
Yeah it really is great vid. Are u using the default ship ?
No, he isn’t. I just got out of it recently, that isn’t the OG cockpit.
no. this is a different ship! picked it up at a space station :)
Dude I've been contemplating a good psvr2 game to buy lately and I've found it so hard to choose.
But after watching your gameplay and review and your honest opinions on the game and how it compares to the ordinary controller version, has sold me on it.
I want something where you feel so deeply immersed, that you almost feel like you're living in that world momentarily.
I'm goonna finish off the video and hopefully I'll be 100% sold on it and buy it when it'd next on sale.
Because flying around in the ship looks dope as fuck man.
I always wanted to be anastronaut always wanted to explore planets and no mans sky has made my dream come true!
hello.. question spaceship's controllers is hard to control. there is a delay on the stick and laser button. is that normal? thanks
VR definitely makes this game more interesting.
This game is like 16 gigs too it's crazy
Because much of it is procedurally generated. They don't need to store a lot of map data.
I watched Dante play this through share screen yesterday cos he doesnt seem to be able to notice the upgrade - hes just weird - but i looked and the foveated rendering is very intense, as soon as you look in their peripherals vision it looks almost 16-bit and the lighting is glitchy, but as soon as they move their eyes to it its one of the clearest games on the headset, its great
I’ve got a playlist of bases you should try in NMS, I’ll post below this one…😊
I think the link filter got the comment. 😊
hmm. i can’t see it on held for review, let me check!
yeah it's not showing up on my end, is there a name to the website the list is on that I can find? I'd love to check it out
@@Jammyheroshare if you get the list plss
@@Jammyhero I've got a better idea go here it's in Euclid 😀- 5 Moon /1 Rising Sun / 5 Moon /7 Ship /1 Rising Sun /12 Whale /5 Moon /6 Ballon /9 Dagon Fly /8 Spider /12 Whale /3 Weird Face
Can’t believe someone gets as worked up about nms vr as I do 😊. I was desperate for them to update it as I bought a PS5 and a headset for it. I remember it getting better but I find the headset very uncomfortable and I’m forever repositioning and cleaning the lenses. Might have to give it another go?
going to give this a try again
I bought this game for 50% and never played it. I am glad to hear all of this wonderful news. Looks like I will be spending a lot of time in this one. 😉👌😊👍
If they fixed that with the flight stick... Unfortunately it is too imprecise and It's annoying to switch between controller and move controller
I bought the PS5 and PSVR2 for this game….sadly it does not support the regular controller for flying like the old PSVR/PS4 version did.
Maaan, now I need to get this game. God damnit.
I’m 50 years old and I’m literally downloading this game while watching this video. I have the ps r2. Any tips?
I wonder if Light no fire will have VR
Does it allow you to move on foot by "transporting"? Because moving normally while standing still is not for me, get's me dizzy every single trime.
yes i believe it does :)
How not to vomit during space battles?
I just got mine a couple of days ago. I started tinkering with it trying to fly my sentinel ship. It's been frustrating me that controlling the joy stick is so damned sensitive that all I've been doing is spin outs. I've been tinkering with the settings to see if I can get better control during flight. But no such luck.☹ It's like trying to drive a car without power steering.
And it's a damn shame It doesn't work on the PS4 version of the game where I have most of my builds.😥
I jumped in first time last night. A flat screen does not compare to experiencing this visually.
NMS is great in VR. But the PSVR2 Vr controllers are not possible to use for flying combat which eliminates 90% of the gameplay after that. There is no auto lock on targets and your hands keep disconnecting from the controls. About ready to go nuclear on these fucks for that oversight!
Been playing on PS4 just download it to PC/Oculus can’t wait to try it. Sucks I can’t pass down my account from ps4 to pc 😢
Love it
I'm thinking of giving it another try 🤔
It would be amazing if you can walk in the ship while it traveling
I would love Hello Games to update the draw distance, the amount of stuff popping in, and not that far in front of you is egregious.
just 1 question. I got it and played 10 minutes and dont know how to freely walk instead of mark a point and go.
Had the same issue. It’s in settings. It’s called teleport mode. Turn that off.
@@EyeForKnowledge. tnx buddy cheers
@@ENFDO I almost didn’t play it because of that. What a sin that would have been. Enjoy not getting any sleep. 😂
'Should of sent a poet.'
Thinking about buying the game but I have the first psvr can someone tell me if it’s worth it on the first one?
Absolutely!
I was hyped after this video and tried it but it is really flickery. Anoyone Riese experiencing this?
I remember noping out of NMS PSVR2 day one after I looked at a horizon and seeing piles of poo for mountains. Gonna go see if that’s fixed.
i just want to be able to use the dualsense but still be in VR
Are you playing with the new update released 29th August
Psvr2 for me when I look at my captures it’s off center anyone else have this?
agreed!
Starfield is going to feel so restricted after playing this 😢
I wish i could enjoy this, but its to tedious collecting resources. Id prefer it if it was focused more on combat and exploration
Why doesnt it look like this in my headset
Does it actually visually look good now though? Or is it still unnecessarily blury on a PLAYSTATION 5 VR2
It's good. Especially for an open world VR game. Don't expect it to be as crystal sparkling clear as playing it on a 4K OLED screen but it's way better than it was before.
Hi i have a problem with R3 sensitivity on ps5 Vr2 controller. Its to fast and even if i change this in menu is still the same.. Sensitivity only works when i play on standard controller without VR2. Maybe someone have solution for this? Pls help
Yea, systems a pos. Its being suppressed and sony isn’t doing shit about it
How come explosion sound in vacuum ?;)
Got a question, is this only available on Psvr2? Or can it be in other Vr platforms like Quest 2 on Steam?
yes, you buy it on STEAM and play on Quest 2 via Link or Virtual Desktop. I only play NMS on PC almost every day. But you need a good and fast gaming PC and probably do some tweaking of your VR settings to get it to run smooth enough. I can play it on my RTX 3060 / Ryzen 9 3900X and other PCs with similar specs.
I never tried. Is it like a story. Like what us the game about
What about frame rate ? My game has moments of drops affecting smoothnesses especially while flying ..
Yeah same! Don’t know what all these people are smoking but the frame rate literally makes it unplayable at times for me. If they sort that then it will be great. As it stands I can’t deal with the choppiness.
Where the hell are these planets, animals and encounters??
Probably the only game worth playing on PSVR2 that's not on Quest
Ummmm…..GT7?
Is it only this playstation vr that works this good or all other vr headsets?
It looks/plays the best on PSVR2 right now.
I really enjoy the game for the most part, EXCVEPT for the flying. The PSVR2 controllers are way too hard to control. I wish they would figure this out, because It's unplayable in space for me. ***Edit: I find that when you sit down and rest your forearms on your legs and let the controllers hang off your knees, it's so much easier to control. The key is to keep your forearms strong and only use your wrists. Hope that helps other people
Is there an option to swap to the joysticks? I used to switch to the controller when flying in the ships on psvr1 but I’m not sure if that still necessary.
@@mangasaint I found that if you sit down and put your forearms on your thighs, it works SO much better
@@SchitzophrenicSynapse so have a chair behind you, just like in every psvr2 game. I used mine to squat in Pavlov lol.
Just bought it on sale 50% off I’m trying to find videos showing what sort of stuff I can do on it as it looks too open and can see it becoming boring fast can we fight other real players in space ships ? I’m only this far into your video 1:55
Well you convinced me to get a psvr😂
So many great experiences on this headset so far. It’s worth the price if admission for GT7 alone. Not to mention No Mans Sky, both resident evils are the best gaming experience I’ve ever had by far, Horizon is stunning, Pavlov is the best PVP shooter in history now with added maps soon to come, and Aces of Thunder is coming soon as well. You won’t regret it. Be very careful with the lenses though. Super easy to scratch. I recommend getting glass inserts that magnetically attach to the lenses for protection.
I was mega disappointed by starfield, THIS is amazing though, wow
How the bell do you walk around? All I can do is point an icon and wherever i point it that’s where I go.
that should be something in the settings to configure.
Turn off teleport. Turn on smooth turn
@@chantellewist4673Thank you! I’m so stupid. Finally got around to running through story mode to figure out how to play this behemoth. What an experience. I’ve literally gotten like 3 hours a sleep per night the last week or so. 😂
I know wot i am getting now
Do you feel off after playing VR for a bit? I hear it gets people sick. Like motion sickness?
I've been fine and I have fairly good VR legs. The space ship could potentially make you queasy, depends on how much you fly upside down and whatever. But the cockpit helps keep your vision steady.
Different people has different tolerance to VR motion sickness. I had slight headaches when i started and i found i can tolerate longer sessions the more i play. My brother had low tolerance, and puke one time, but now he had no problem playing for hours in VR. Lots of people confirmed that immunity to motion sickness in VR is something you can earn if you persevere enough. People calls it "strong VR legs"
After 15 minutes of just starting game it was the vomit comet!
Is No Mans Sky only a grinding game or does it also have a good adventure/ combat part in it? I am on the fence to buy it.
it’s mostly crafting, exploring and gathering resources, but space combat is great and the multi tool has a few gun options :)
its good for exploring and shouldn't be too grindy, its ground combat is meh but then again no man sky was never intended for amazing ground combat at worst the game could be boring if you have got everything but that might be just me
Think Minecraft in space
despite what some may say every ship you will see will be different maybe not majorly different also its story/lore is decent
