    Great video, i have a 1st gen tacoma and looking for the same type of tonneau. Lenth is about the same but width I'm having trouble finding. What are your tonneau measurements exactly.

      Not sure if this company makes them for first gen. I can share the link and it should say the measurements on there

      I just went outside and measured my cover. It’s 6’ in length and 5’ wide. Not sure if first gen is more narrow.

    Hows it holding up so far? How waterproof is it in your experience?

      Doing great. No water gets in even when it rains! Still looking good too.

    Nice fit and looks clean too. I like how the final maneuver pulls out the slack and gets the tension right. But where did the rain come from in So Cal? Haha

      Jaaa. Thanks dude. The rain is crazy. It never rains in Southern California except when your trying to make a video. Jaaa. Actually this year has been a little crazy. A lot of places have been getting flooded and there were some killer waves. Some say they were 20ft. The houses on the beach were hit hard.

      @SanDiego_VDubLife  Год назад

      Yes I think so. I think I may have adjusted them slightly but that was it. They should be easy to install let me know if you need help.

    Hey great job I like it. My question is can someone easily slide their hand through the sides and steal? I want to put tools in my truck bed but first I need your opinion if you would recommend the same cover

    • @SanDiego_VDubLife
      @SanDiego_VDubLife  Год назад

      For security reason I would go with the hard top version. The soft top works great to keep people from seeing what’s back there but if someone is desperate they will try to sneek a peek. The sides are Velcro so it would be difficult to remove any bulky items from inside without rolling up the cover unless someone cuts it.

    Idk what I’m doing wrong it won’t latch or close. It’s latching onto the tension things right why won’t mine go in please help 😢 instructions are useless

    • @SanDiego_VDubLife

      So sorry to hear. You might have to adjust the latches. There is an adjustment screw to bring it in and out. This will make the tension tighter or looser. Let me know if you can't find the screw to adjust I can try to make a short video to show you.

    You didn't use the foam for the gap in the front under where it rolls up so water is gonna get in!

    • @SanDiego_VDubLife
      @SanDiego_VDubLife  2 месяца назад

      Sorry yes I did. I didn’t show it in video. But the glue stopped working so it fell off. Water still doesn’t get in when it rains. Maybe a little when I wash it if I spray water under the cover.
