    Hey Buddy how are you?
    I think an other approach to the EQ would be to pre-process the wavetable itself and lower some harmonics.
    You can do that in Harmor (from Image-Line) did you try that?

    • @noizebusters
      @noizebusters  3 года назад

      true thing, but never got my hands behind harmor.... i tried it in serum but was more happy with the eq+ in bitwig and the keytracking

    Hey, I got a question, I am still no sound expert, so :P I have a trouble understanding the EQ following the pitch. What happens if it stays still, and what actually happens when it follows and cuts of frequencies, while music is playing?

    • @noizebusters
      @noizebusters  3 года назад +2

      Normally you cut out the disharmonic frequencies of a sound, to make it fit to the mix, and that's all you need... cause this disharmonies are related to the pitch, it means if the note changes of that sound, new disharmonies would appear and you would need to cut that ones out with another eq (not necessary, but clinicly you would do ).... and that's what the keytracking eq does, so always the disharmonic ones you cutted out, will do the same when you play other notes..... but as I said, its not necessary and I did 100 tracks without that technique, so its just a way of getting a cleaner mix ;)

  • @WalmikDeshpande
    @WalmikDeshpande 3 года назад

    Really nice video! I had one question related to the EQ settings you had. I see that you made steep cuts at very specific frequencies. Could you share how you decide which these frequencies are? Many thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

    • @noizebusters
      @noizebusters  3 года назад +2

      its an extreme example of cutting out disharmonic frequencies (harmonies which are not related to the fundamental note)...you can solo a node inside bitwigs eq,so I sweep thru to find these disharmonic ones and cut them afterwards.... this disharmonic frequencies are moving when u play other notes in the scale so with this technique you can cut always the "right" frequencies out, doesn't matter which key you are playing.....

      hi there, thanks for the feedback... i had a max for live plugin which did the same, but it was a bit tricky to set up in ableton and it had latency

    • @akraghav92
      @akraghav92 3 года назад +3

      Great tutorial . if i may add to the reply about ableton and key tracking . if you have DMG Audio equilibrium , you can switch on the midi input in the settings and copy paste your bass midi into another midi track and route that midi track into equilibrium eq . pitch tracking solved in ableton and no latency with equilibrium unless you use it in linear phase mode . or you can use surfer eq 2 too , but i prefer equilibrium because i can have many bands for cutting or boosting and surfer eq is limited to 5-6 band eq .

    • @noizebusters

    • @akraghav92
      @akraghav92 3 года назад

      @@noizebusters yes bro even i stopped using surfer , very bad it is . dmg is much much better , the cuts and boosts in surfer eq are wide and cannot be made narrow , but in dmg we can have sharp cuts & boosts and dmg eq has added bonus of choosing an algorithm for each band like butterworth , flatop etc etc which is really helpful in achieving desired sound .
