Hey E-Clip, I really appreciate your Videos. I learn a lot from you. Could you please remove the Lense flares flying over the video? I find them very distractive. Thank you very much! :)
Hi E -Clip! Another great video. apply in my group kick - bass a pha-979 and with -1 or +1 i see a difference in hole mix. i hear more clear the kick bass. what your opinion?
@@EClipChannel ruclips.net/video/FYMcsL2uaTA/видео.htmlsi=tG5iVgLQCByfNSaU yesterday i made this kick after watching your video, in drifter, the native plugin from ableton. É muito diferente do seu, mas também acho que algo chato no trance de hoje é que todos usam exactamente o mesmo kick!
With so much Eq and processing on the kick.... doesn't it effect the shape ? I have see on a scope after applying only eq on the kick in kick2 the shape of the kick changes dramatically
I think you should use what you are used to. I use other ones if I need to analyze in detail, spectrogram or waterfalls, as free response won’t show the decay of the frequencies which I believe is one of the most important things
At 10:26 u say the kick is ending at 50hz. But the window size of kick 2 is at 340ms. Obviously in the amp envelope the kick is stopped before reaching 340ms. So the kick is not ending at 50hz. I always asked myself how the window size and pitch envelope is corresponding to each other
I said “for example”, the kick ends frequency dot is at 42hz but as I said, It's only for example, to me it doesn't matter what’s the frequency as I set it by the ears. I just used it as an example. But you can rewind and see that the end dot is set at 42hz and it can be possible that the end frequency is 50hz. But again, it doesn't matter. I just spoke about the hz to make a point on which I spoke about. And if you pay attention closely, I’m sure you understand the point.
Amp envelope adjusting itself to kick length? If you draw back the amp env the kicks last ozillation goes, then the next etc. It's been a while but I believe that was how it worked.
@@v_north not sure what you are referring to. The Kick amp in the video is around 340ms, and the envelope is ending a bit earlier. You can check the grid in Kick2, and I know that 2x1/16 on 138 bpm is around 200ms. That’s why I said it's around 200ms. About the frequencies: The endpoint is 42hz. This means that at the 340ms point, the end frequency is 42hz, so I said around 50hz as a guess that if the frequency on 340ms is 42hz was that on 200ms the frequency ending around 50hz. That was only a guess, as I am not interested in exact numbers. The kick was designed by the ears. So the first comment was that I said something which I didn’t. The end frequency point in the video is 42hz, not 50hz as you wrote in the first comment.
Of course! Why do you think that phase can be refered to a stereo only? If you have two mono signals, their phases can cancle or boose eachother. As well, the phase position of the mono signal can influence how it will sound ( not much, but it will ).
@@PhreaSpirit phase is just a direction of the cycle. The most important is when two oscilations of similar frequecy are meeting together. It can be one of more, stereo, mono, can be two mono…
Latency coused by what? But whatever the latency is, once the kick is designed, it will be bounced to wav, and whole channel with Kick2 and processing or saved as preset or exported. So the whole process won’t cause any latency for the track
@@EClipChannel Thanks master. But after you have the kick sampled... do you cut the space before the transient on the audio? Therefore, do you phase align it with the bass, also sampled? Btw, you played on my party, Deep Forest. Hugs!
@@Solarisbr as I said, there are so many things going on and it’s a too wide a topic to answer in one video. We could go on for a very long time with so many questions like this. There are many videos on my channel on the same topic

I make my kicks so diffrent! I have so much more mids in the click or punch. I wonder if its because of my bad speakers or if i just have a diffrent style or taste.

Great video 👊🏻
Hurray! A Kick 2 indépendant tutorial😁
amazing tutorial and amazing bassline Clip
This is some great knowledge you dropped on us! Thank you so much:)
I've been waiting for this 😁
Cool track !
Man you’re a true professional
Big thanks x the preset, as always, big content!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial!
The last tip is golden, don't over tweak the Kiba in the beginning of the track but at the end.
😉
graet turturial!! watining for the bass line ////
this topic is so logic but i was never thinking about it so exactly like you :D
great 👍👍👍
Yea, I also never had the same thoughts before started making videos. I’m learning so much by doing this!

What do you say about using a 909 kick with some tweaks? I think some early goa trance used it.
@@nunomaltez79 with Kick2 you can make 909 kick as well. But with 909 i’m not sure you can make punchy kick.

14:10 how did you made the totalyzer visible on top of everything in cubase while you click on other plugins? Very nice channel and video clips btw
Yes, there is “always on top” option!
Kick is not tonal, but isn't it nice when the lowest frequency of the kick ends where the base starts and to make them the same frequency?
Defo. But not for all keys.
What kind of settings do you use on ur Digicheck?
