Hi, I completed mechanical engineering from India in 2010, have been running family business. I am moving to Canada June 2020 and wanted to know if I go for NDT ASNT Certification in India will benefit me. Or should I wait and join the course in Canada when I move there. I found NDT interesting when I was browsing for courses that could help me start afresh in Canada
Hi Amith, in Canada we have a different certification through our government NRCan (Natural Resources Canada) called CGSB (Canadian General Standards Board) and although ASNT is known and sometimes accepted, it is more of an in-house ticket and not recommended if you are moving here. I will suggest looking at CGSB and not ASNT. If you are moving the USA, they recognize ASNT, not CGSB.

I wud like to work in Europe region like france, Germany, not in gulf countries..... please suggest me is der any scope for ndt and qa/qc piping technicians... if not which is in demand there what course should i learn.. plzzz suggest me pratik...

Hiii currently my husband working in Saudi.. Nd earning around 2.5 L per month.. Nd has almost 10 yrs working experience in NDT field.... He s saudi Aramco approved technician... But now he's department head... No increment no improvement in his career... Will he eligible to wrk in Canada?
He s planning to move some other country like UAE nd also we aware dat he has to start from 1st even though he has 10yrs of experience... He didn't have level 3 certification.... So i suggest him to move Canada is dis good idea? Will they recognize Indians? Will they recognize his talents? Will this plan work?
It is worth if you really want to do masters and have interest in studying NDT. It is not worth if you are using masters as a means to get to work in Germany.
